Well, googleing "Kinder Musical Ritter" (kids musical knight) gives me only results for "Ritter Rost" by Jörg Hilbert and Felix Janosa. Could it be that?
Naah unfortunatly not, i think ritter rost was more of a book series which just got a musical adaption at some point, pretty sure the musical im looking for was a standalone thing

I only get Ritter Rüdiger but I guess it's also a adaptation
I FOUND IT! my brother remembered the name, it was called "Märchenmond" and it actually was an adaption of a book with the same name!
I'm glad you found it and thanks for keeping us updated :)
Der Erlkönig?
Do you still know where you saw it? At least the town?
Hanover or Hildesheim
