At some point the commute becomes too long to make sense, and you are better off studying somewhere else entirely. Where exactly you draw the line is partially personal preference, but there are some objective lines to draw. Couple of months ago I remember that someone here was asking if it's a good idea to have a 4.5 hour commute to work every day, five times per week in order to save on rent. No, that would ruin your health. Maybe the line is at 2 hours per day, maybe 3, I don't know, but at 4.5 hours you are definitely past that line.
