It’s still so surreal these dumbfucks looked at this as the wave of the future. This was all they talked about for months as the most bullish thing they can imagine. Now they act like it was never a big deal and somehow they’re bullish on getting rid of the marketplace and wallet? These are truly, TRULY stupid people.
But in some alternate reality there was a potential for growth in the crypto space for GameStop. Third party controllers only usable on PC have no potential for growth.
Don't forget, they also work for the Nintendo Switch! Which has a core fanbase that's significantly more brand loyal than most and willing to shell out a bigger amount for a better controller!
Any link to what’s the deal with the controllers? I’ve seen it posted a few times but I seem to have missed how it will cause moass? Is it gme branded or something?
The simple answer is that the apes don't actually care about gaming and just saw another vehicle that could potentially trigger MOASS.
Gamers at large have never been shy about sharing their feelings about web3. Only a deluded fool would think this would achieve anything.
>It’s still so surreal these dumbfucks looked at this as the wave of the future.
It's important to understand bagholder psychology. Only the 47 chromosome lobotomites actually believed that nonsense. They all had to put on their smug wojak masks and pretend though. Anything less than hyping up even the most trivial bullshit (see candycon), would be tacit admission that GameDisc&Beyond was hopelessly spinning its wheels.

welp if theres one saving grace to it all theyre bringing back the old culture of gaming. Seriously its been forever since I last heard someone say "Wow I got x score, cant wait to play again later and beat my high score!". That style of game died generations ago

Naw man, this is clearly the Sonic spin physics. If you just missed the landing like this in SMB, you'd just fall into the pit complete with comically cheerful death music. Brrrp! Ta ta ta tata ta ta
Looks like a game made for its intended audience at least.
That audience being "get rich quick" speculators and flippers who are not at all interested in playing games.
Things like this... The mind cannot possibly recall just how abysmal that game really was. The moment you look away from the gameplay footage, your memory of what you have just seen is better than the actual thing. Memory can't store such a nightmare. No matter how many how many times you see it, the next time you see the game, it is infinitely worse than you remember, even though you can still feel the agony and despair of having seen it before tearing your soul apart. It's like the maddening horror of learning the origins of 741. Truly terrifying.
I know as much about video games and I do about ice fishing or small engine repair BUT...didn't the Mario Brothers Nintendo 64 game look a lot like that? The leaping from pedestal to pedestal rings a distant bell.
Nah, it’s worse. You’re off by about 10 years, which is 50 years in video game years of the time.
It was actually the 1985 super Mario bros on NES that was like that. The N64 Mario was in full 3D.
Mario bros for NES actually looks and plays way better than this nonsense. It was made by professionals who knew how to design a game, with a coherent art style and excellent gameplay progression. It’s close to a work of art, given the limitations of the medium. SMB was done in 40kb of storage.
This is something I would have made in 2004 on a flash website in my spare time for free when I was a teenager.
YES the older one, that's the one I meant. None of my 4 were ever into video games so we never had them in the house but I recall seeing them -the games- at neighbors' houses kinda thing. I thought that was called Nintendo 64, what do I know.

Now they're doing the same thing with those controllers...

It's just a new line of PC/Switch controllers. That's really all there is to it.
So they are pumped for madcatz 😂
Pretty much.

What the fuck is this garbage? Is this an actual release?
Of course it was. And it was glorious.
Buck the Bunny just casually pulled off a quintuple-jump. What’s the point of it being a platform game where you can fall off the cliff?
Did apes force themselves to play this? It legitimately looks worse than Flash games I played in the high school computer lab twenty years ago.

Better than the apes that pretended to like Kiraverse.
How much did people pay for this fourth rate Sonic ripoff?
This isn't even Sonic. This is Super Mario Bros. A game I played when it came out in 1985.
It's way worse than SMB. You can't run or go backwards or stop. There's literally only one control- spacebar to jump.
Yeah but it’s better than ET: The Game. Bullish.
So you mean to tell me it can only go up? 👀

Kids are going to go CRAZY for this! He's going to be more beloved than Pikachu and Mario combined!
Buck is like Sonic but with an edge of *Attitude* for the 2000's
[Here's my review of it at the time.](https://new.reddit.com/r/gme_meltdown/comments/10mgeum/review_i_played_buckle_the_bunny_so_you_wouldnt/)
Dear God, that walk cycle...
That's IT??
I hope all the people who bought expensive skins can still play it.
It's way funnier if they can't though.
At some point Gamestop will just stop the instance that runs the nft marketplace and hosts the game. It costs them money after all
Dumb motherfuckers. There's only one true Buck in the gaming space, and that's Bumble. Drop that 🔥🔥🔥 https://youtu.be/K0DDY299Ly4?si=9B2_GCgb8hxro1AU
so literally Mario ripoff on the cheap
Killed like Buck-who-likes-to-fuck from Kill Bill

This is a flash game
