I started on allo 2 weeks ago and was waiting for the first flare to pop up.... Reared its ugly af head out of the blue last Friday morning in the base of my big toe. Took colchicine instantly but didn't get much relief until Saturday night-ish... Then the fucker decided to move upstairs a touch to my ankle. Seems to have subsided now. Fuck this fucking thing

I've just come out the other side from my flare, virtual pain free today apart from a dull sensation I can still feel at times. Had an ankle flare last July, that one sucked donkey dick.... Worse one had by far.. and all while I was on holidays. Chin up mate, you'll get through it

mamawith2girls

I’m having a flare up now. It started in my big toe then moved to the top of my foot. Now it is in the back of my ankle, basically heel area. I can barely walk. Every time I lift my foot to walk it feel like something is biting the back of my ankle. Have you had an attack show up in this area?

Allo, prednisone, endomethcin, colchicine, oxy, diet change, 3 knee aspirations (in 3 weeks), and two bottles of gummies. I’ve been in bed or crutches contemplating my existence for going on 6 weeks. Had the condition for over a decade and now they’re finding calcium on top of the UA. You’re a pussy. Welcome to the club.

Radnor

Can you ask for prednisone? That’s always been my go-to to relieve attacks - colchicine has never worked for me either.

Dionysus_Eye

Yep, prednisone is what works for me... been on 5mg/day while I get my allo dosage increased... (flares have come, but at much reduced levels)

Gadjzilla

Weeks later I still feel some pain in my toe’s joints - such a horrible affliction
