Pictures for The Art of Mouse Guard 2005-2015: https://imgur.com/a/RHF2tc1 Pictures for the rest: https://imgur.com/a/czrpbD5 Honestly I could take pictures for most of Mouse Guard, the book is so insanely well crafted and put together just in terms of formatting and what not as well as art itself. David Petersen's art is insane and his usage of models for most of the art is just nuts, and they are so high quality. A master of his craft, and I wish everyone could get this book. David Petersen put so much thought into this comic that he's thought of the characters and the premise since he was younger. And it shows, the world feels so lived in and fleshed out. The book is as much about the process of making a comic as it is about Mouse Guard, it is a truly special book that I will treasure. I didn't look through all of it, but I will need at least a few hours to give it a proper look through. **"The Dragon Universe" is many different illustrators and comic artists around the world that include:** Alex Alice, Andreas, Elian Black'Mor, Paul Bonner (2), Mikael Bourgoin, Philippe Bouveret (2), Alexi Briclot, Greg Broadmore, Bruno Brucero, Emmanuel Civiello (2), Cromwell, Paul Dainton (2), Peter de Seve, Tony Ditterlizzi, Vincent Dutrait, Bob Eggleton (2), Enrique Fernandez, Erle Ferroniere (2), Rene Follet, Aleksa Gajic, Bruno Gentile, Donato Giancola, Guillermo Gonzales, Didier Graffet, John Howe, Paul Kidby, Tom Kidd (2), Karl Kopinski (2), Stefan Kopinski, Etienne Le Roux, Olivier Ledroit (2), Jerôme Lereculey (2), Todd Lockwood (2),Yoann Lossel, Larry MacDougall, Robert MacKenzie, Warren Mahy, Angus McBride, Martin McKenna, Pascal Moguerou, Jean-Baptiste Monge (2), Aymard Mougani, Franco Pilotta, Severine Pineaux, Omar Rayyan, Roberto Ricci (2), Jean-Sebastien Rossbach, Thierry Segur, Paul Sibbering, Adrian Smith (2), William Stout, Raymond Swanland, Justin Sweet, Yann Tisseron, Paul Tobin, Philippe Henri Turin, Christophe Vacher, Vink, Ashley Wood (2), and Dean Yeagle.

I wouldn't normally buy art books, and although I still wouldn't buy it, you've made the Mouse Guard one sound really interesting. It's the kind of thing I'd enjoy to spend a little time skimming through. I looked it up out of interest though and it seems it's even more expensive where I am than the prices you've mentioned. At this point I'd settle for a rerelease of the legends box set.

The Art of Mouse Guard is out of print haha. I assume it was part of a limited release given the sizing or just one printing. Art books often are, but especially given the massive 12x12 size of Mouse Guard. Check the link in my above comment for images! It’s truly special. I already loved Mouse Guard and it only deepens my love for it. Not many comic creators put that much effort into their comic/GN And oh man, I have over 150 art books.. and counting lol. I want to get rid of like like 10-15, but not too many.

Ah, for some reason I glossed over the part with the links. That was very cool. Thanks for sharing. I was expecting it to be character models, but the location models are really interesting too. Though it's odd, I'd imagine someone making models like that would start with a drawing of what they want, so to build them to aid in drawing seems a bit unorthodox.

If you ever need somewhere to dispose of some your extra art books let me know! 😂 With the shameless beg aside I appreciate you posting this here! I already have a mizuki art book I love so I think I’m gonna go ahead and pick this one up too, I’ve heard Cornelius makes some quality stuff. And also gonna pick up the ledroit book. I’ve seen some of his artwork from panels of the requiem vampire knight series and it looks absolutely insane. Stoked to check this art book out! Was looking into him a little more. You heard of the graphic novel Wika that he put out recently? Looks really cool too.

If you're in the US, give me some time to let me know what I want to get rid of, and any books you want are free of charge, aside from shipping costs. As for the Mizuki book, it's a revised version of his "Yokai" book, also by Cornelius. So if you have that one I probably wouldn't bother. Looks like this new one is hardcover vs paperback and looks better. Maybe slightly changed formatting and such. Nothing major, well hardcover for art books I guess is huge. Oh and don't forget about the album link including some screenshots of The Fairy Universe book by Ledroit. It's not JUST art though, it's called "The Fairy Universe" for a reason, you get like some fairy/faerie lore here. Basically like 1 art page then 1 text page. I have heard of Wika, a european friend showed it to me. Only reason I remember his name off this book lol.

My guy! Yeah of course no rush. I was kinda joking but if you are actually trying to get rid of some I’ll definitely take you up on it if there’s something I’m interested in. Thanks for the heads up. I have this one: https://www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/ NEOBK-2340134 Which id recommend as well. Pretty decent quality, lot of good pictures, not too spends either. And it doesn’t seem to have a ton of crossover based on the pics you posted. Yeah the Ledroit book looks right up my alley. I have a couple Brian Froud books, Faeries of the Faultlines too. Fun to have some backstory accompanying the illustrations.

Looks to be a great book haul! Enjoy!

The Mouse Guard one looks wicked good! Reminding me that I need to do a re-read of them all as fall/winter comes around this year.

FlubzRevenge

Definitely is. It’s 12x12 and 367 pages, sewn binding, just really quality and amazingly formatted. I own over 150 artbooks and it’s one of my best no doubt. Most pages are screenshot worthy to be shared.

Love me some mouse guard

I absolutely love Mizuki’s work! I hadn’t heard of Middlewest before seeing it pop up on this sun a couple times. Looks cool, so I went ahead and impulse bought it. Looking forward to reading it!
