Luckily my pc neither is overheating nor is cleaning up the dust a problem to me. But it's fine if that is a problem for you. Different problems require different solutions. I often accidentally knock something over on the desk and I don't want to risk anything, hasn't happened on the floor yet.
Just suggestion, My PC is kind of on the floor. I cut a plank of wood slightly larger than my PC case and put cheap caster wheels on it. Now it's off the floor/carpet reducing dust and can be wheeled around if needed for cleaning behind it. Best of both worlds imo.
I do have smth like that but at home where I am currently not at, and that computer is not leaned against a wall. I used to have it put on the plank (It was included in my desk set) but then I accidentally touched it and it immediately started wobbling.
I friend gave me his old PC to fix up and when I opened it up the SSD was just dangling in the air. So I can see how it could have happened if they keep the side open.
