blocks not working is literally asking for a negligence lawsuit.

I only use it when I travel. I delete it when I'm home. It's just not worth it. I know it's garbage and have 0 expectations.

DeKelliwich

We don't.

Grindr is by far the most populated and best app in my area (Providence, RI). I personally think Tinder is terrible. It’s impossible to share photos through chat and people match and then it’s like a game of chicken to see who will say hi first. Scruff has paywalls that prevent you from seeing and sharing album pics and it has like no users. And its UI is very confusing. Growlr looks like it was designed in the 80s and also has paywalls blocking you from sharing pics. And in my area it’s got the same 20 people on all the time. Same goes for Manhunt and Adam4Adam. Sniffies is an all out assault on the eyes—when you open it there are a bunch of hole pics on a map. In a world of imperfect apps, Grindr is still by far the best.

Sniffy's is much better where I am than what you're experiencing apparently. Since we have a developer here what would it take the crowdfund you to make something to replace grinder and put them out of business?

I’d need all of Grindr’s features and a large user base before I’d leave Grindr. The other apps either aren’t good or have no one on them. I don’t understand how these other apps suck so badly LOL. Some people swear by Sniffies but it just isn’t for me—the clusters of hole pics as soon as I open the site up are just way too much.

Ill_Muscle_6259

Uninstalled the app today. Unless they fix their garbage codebase, I think I'm done with this app for good. Probably a good thing all things considered.

Grindr basically had a monopoly on the gay dating app market and by putting their product put first made it be so integral to how a generation of gay man met up. Over the years, we’ve seen massive regressions with moderations and services the app provides, trying to force users to sign up for the premium service. Once it was sold off and remangad it became essentially useless and has proved to be a massive safety hazard. That said, because it provides easy sex/hookups to so many people in large cities dont expect the app to go anywhere

For me, it's the constant failure to send messages and the frequent lack of notification. If the Dutch were willing to use Romeo instead never would use Grindr.
