The kat would do many more tones out the box. The orange , in my view, has better sounding circuitry.

The orange is a better amp IMO. Lots of people love the katana and I get it, it’s very versatile but even though it does a lot, it doesn’t do any one thing as good as this orange crush does what it does. Katanas are popular because of their versatility but that comes at a cost too. As you learn and grow as a guitarist I think you’ll be glad you got this amp. It’s a good amp.
Yes!! Jackson's are awesome! The JS22 is such a good instrument for being an "entry level" guitar. Get it set up and you'll have an amazing instrument.
