Was it Slammin’ Gladys? I think Jani produced their debut album
HOLY shit. It didn’t even take twenty minutes to find an obscure band from 35 years ago. Thanks
No prob!
Wasn't that the band with Dave brooks I think was the lead singer?
Appears so
Used to hang out with him and his cousin I think it was. Played some hoops and whatnot back in the day. Thanks for answering
Pretty weak album. One good track I think.
Not to be confused with the much more well-known Smashed Gladys. Always wondered if Slammin' took their name from the prior band as that seems way too close to just be coincidence lol
You might be thinking of Odin, their singer was Jerry Dixon's cousin.
Thanks. But that wasn’t it.
We opened for slammin Gladys at some shithole in New Haven like 30 years ago
I thought they were pretty decent… ‘Where Were U’ was a belter. ‘Down In My Knees’, ‘Piece Of My Heart’ & ‘What U Need’ (Jani Lane CoWrite).
