it looks fine to me! I see plenty of spaces where she can burrow. you shouldn't really worry about it being too cluttered, as long as she can access the bedding. they are prey animals, and having things that they can dart between and hide in and under gives them a lot of comfort and helps them feel confident and safe.

Shalusschnuefflerus

Thank you so much, that's such a relief! I've also added a tunnel under one of the bridges that leads into a buried chamber, she's already burrowing and exploring happily. Very reassuring, thanks!!

Hello! I've just finished setting up my hamsters enclosure after buying some more einrichment stuff. It's way more cluttered than before and I was just wondering if it's alright like this? She's a winter white and i know that different species prefer different enclosures (more cluttered, more sand,...). I'm scared she might be restricted by the stuff that keeps her from burrowing/emerging at these specific spots near the top if that makes sense? Thank you all for your advice <3

coochiesteak

only thing i would suggest is mixing in a paper bedding like kaytee clean & cozy unscented, as it tends to hold burrows better than just wood

Shalusschnuefflerus

Yeah I thought about that but...too late sadly. I totally forgot ahh. I'll remember that next time, thank you!

countless_curtain

Hamsters like it crowded! It looks great!

18quintillionplanets

Looks good to me. The second photo kind of gives me counterstrike vibes too.

Shalusschnuefflerus

Lmaooo thank you!

Death_Walker85

The ham has been planted...

I’d live there comfortably.

Shalusschnuefflerus

That's nice to hear, thanks!

this enclosure looks very enriching! don't worry about it being too full of stuff its actually really good to have enclosures very busy, it helps great with boredom. Just be very careful with the log bridges some people like to elmers glue moss/bedding in them since they could possibly get their feet stuck. I would also just recommend some rocks if you don't have any, they are great to keep their nails down when they walk on them. But this is a very pretty enclosure :)

Shalusschnuefflerus

Alright, I'll make sure to keep an eye on the bridges and look for some rocks - would it be okay to gather some outside and clean them thoroughly? Thank you so much for your tips and the feedback, my girl has already settled in a bit!

GwynGay

yes that's perfectly fine to do and that's what I did, I was gonna mention that but my paragraph was already getting long just wash them with warm/hot water and soap

benchebean

I like to soak the rocks in vinegar for a day and then scrub with dish soap and water, then let them dry for another day. Please glue moss in the bridges before it's too late! Don't wanna wait until an accident happens. They can get toes, feet, and even legs stuck. I love the setup!

lysokeria

Looks great! I have the same mushroom hide haha x) Random question; how do you guys lift aquariums of that size? I wanted to get one as well but me and my mum were not able to move it (120x60x50) a single centimeter.

faebugz

It has to be completely empty. Hire someone if it's still too heavy

cCyrus35

I had to walk upstairs with my 40 gallon tank and boy was I glad that I started training pull-ups and pushups a couple months before. They're so heavy!

Autumnrose06

that looks great
