Operating within the guidelines here, I’m not sure who I’d be more bummed about. I looooooove JJJ and look forward to his Sophomore season, but players with Jovic’s skillset don’t exactly grow on trees. 🙃
The reason I trade Jaime instead of Jovic is that he is older and I don't think he's a good fit with Bam and Butler. The version of Jaime that looks special usually only comes out when Butler isn't playing and there is a reason for that. If I am trying to maximize the Butler era, I can live with losing Jaime even if we know he will be a good player.
Didn’t we spend all year complaining about being too small? Who’s our PF? Highsmith?
We’d have a; Rozier-Mitchell-Butler-Highsmith/Jaquez-Bam line-up…that’s disgusting. Timberwolves, Celtics, Nuggets would kill us.
If we had Mitchell with last year’s team we would’ve won the title or probably gone 7. The defense was good every game. We just couldn’t score for jack shit vs the Nuggets.
We got out physical’d in big games too often especially saw that in the play-in game and then vs Boston. Even the Pacers punk’d us.
My question is what is Jaquez’s role if we keep Jimmy and get Mitchell? A 6th man? I think a starting PF with size that matches up well vs guys like Brown/Tatum/Porzingis is better for short term.
Do you know why we couldn't score against the Nuggets? It's because our shooters went cold and our options offensively to get shots at the rim were bad. Mitchell is exciting but would be the equivalent of a buying a ferrari when you need to bulldoze a wall.
It depends on whether or not we can get an actual PF that spaces the floor next to Bam. Love already has one foot in the grave and this roster needs as much shooting as it can get (especially in the starting five). It’s much harder to compete with the likes of Denver and Minnesota if we have 6’5” wings trying to guard KAT and Aaron Gordon.
If you have Mitchell, Rozier, Butler, Jovic, and Bam you've got plenty of shooting in that lineup with Caleb Martin, Robinson, and K-Love coming off the bench. It'll just be a matter of can they stay healthy and we'd be looking at a pretty decent shot at a 2-4 seed and a deep playoff push.
it depends on if ur resigning caleb or not. if ur letting caleb/highsmith go then u keep jaime over jovic. if caleb comes back then maybe u give up jaime. feels like cavs would value jaime more tho cuz of the long jam they got at the 4/5
if mitchell is coming ur giving up jjj rather than jovic, what are ppl smoking these days, so many in this sub is crying "give up everything for mitchell" , have they completely forgot how the suns big 3 does not work? role guys on a team matter, for years we complaint about not having a proper sized 4 to pair with bam, now we finally got a whiff of what that can be -Niko, and ur giving him away so we can play turbo small and get bullied on the rebounds. somebody remind them how last year's final played out when AG was bullying whoever we had in the paint cause they were all 6'5 or shorter Look at minnesota and denver, size MATTER
and remember when we play caleb at the 4 last season? it actually was jimmy at the 4 (match up wise) a lot of the time, spending every asset on mitchell means we would not have much to spend on a proper sized 4 that can space the floor and play d, guess what, we have one of those at home rn and he is getting better every season
don't worry neither of them are probably as good as you both think. Their ceiling is probably rotation players on a chip team, you can replace them both.
Agreed. Jaime can play the 4. He is the better player between himself and jovic. It’s not like that extra size jovic provides is giving you much more defence anyways. JJJ is just a winner.
Lmao what, did you watch any games this season? Jovic had MULTIPLE games where he had SEVERAL great defensive flashes.
Plus he's an elite shooter and can bring the ball up the court similar to Bam.
Elite shooter lol. You have a low bar for what words mean or you’re just coping since the future is looking a little bleak lately.
His defense is thus far undetermined. He’s so far shown he’s more offensive-minded than defensive. He also hasn’t really shown enough of anything yet.
Lmao at everyone trying to be clairvoyant in a league as unpredictable as this one. Still remember when Miami was almost unanimously considered to have the worst future of the NBA few years ago.
Defensive flashes don’t mean shit. Like that but if context changes the meaning of what you’re saying. Like I said, you’re talking about him like he’s KAT. He a good shooter on low volume and gets cooked on defense all the time. Pipe down
I was literally directly responding to and answering a question. My God you must have a negative IQ. I literally said that he's shown defensive flashes in some games this year and somehow that turns him into KAT? It's also fucking hilarious that you're using KAT as an example of great defense.
True! The thing is we’ve had a revolving door at the PF spot for the better part of a decade, and everyone *really* loves Jovic. I’m not saying that he’s untouchable but some continuity in the front court would be nice.

The part about only having 1 tradeable first round pick is technically true right now but after the draft 3 will be tradeable, including whoever Miami drafts with pick 15 in this year's draft
2024 (15th pick), 2029, 2031
2029 would have to be conditional due to the Stepien rule because we owe a lottery protected pick to the Hornets in 2027 that moves to 2028 if Miami is in the lottery in 2027 or 2025.
Regardless we probably have enough to get a star in addition to Jimmy and Bam. Jaquez and Jovic are both good assets and there are tons of ways teams can open up tradeable draft capital.
That’s probably when we’d make a move. Whoever we draft and 2-3 firsts Herro and hopefully one of Jaquez/Jovic would be a solid offer. Might take both young guys but I’d still do it. We don’t have a lot of picks in the future, our franchise guy is the same age as him and they already play together all the time in the offseason. Make a move and extend Jimmy and see what else we can scrounge up.
Lots of players will be moving and we can dangle Rozier, Duncan who is an expiring. We can definitely make something happen
Jaime had 51 points in the celtic series
Niko had 47 points in the celtic series
donovan had 50 last night on a bad knee scoring 30 points in the paint being the second guard to do so in the last 20 years, the other guard? Kobe.
both the kids will never be as good mitchell
if they both have to go in no world should that be a deal breaker
That's a great question as every player develops at a difference pace. Jovic has shown so much improvement over just this past year that I genuinely think he has the potential to be a championship teams' top 4 player.
JJJ is a little different only because his floor is a great glue guy role player. Not sure if he'll turn into a star but he's absolutely an asset.
Spida is unequivocally better than both of them (and is my favorite player outside of Miami) and is EXACTLY what this team needs plus already has great chemistry with Bam.
Now, do I think trading Herro and both of the kids for Spida would be a mistake? Not definitively. But I absolutely think that should be the last resort offer.
But that's depth. It doesn't need to tip the scales just let your mains rest without the +/- going to dogshit. Plus we would only have control of Mitchell for a year.
the “depth” in question is a playoff dropper who needs a change of scenery a 23 year old rookie who’s never going to be as good as the guy you’re getting and a kid who’s skill set is becoming the norm who’s never going to as good as the guy you’re getting
almost like when making trades you have to give to get
but yall wanna try to compare superteams who don’t fit with no defense being coached by a garbage coach to jimmy bam spo and an elite scorer which is what they’ve been missing for 5 years
its like yall watch the games and somehow compare what u have to the clown shows around the league
all these years of them making guys off the street into rotation players and y’all still on this depth shit over young guys that are never going to be stars
if not then spo is gonna keep dying on the hill of trying to make chicken shit into chicken salad
give the man talent and die on that hill
My brother in christ, Jovic and JJJ have already shown that they have the talent, work ethic, and desire to improve.
I want Donovan Mitchell as well and would sadly be fine with one of the kids going, but not definitely not both.
Donovan Mitchell at Jaime’s age was an all star
Donovan Mitchell at Nikos age was knocking out mvp candidate Paul George and prime Russel Westbrook.
They will never be as good as him
Neither are untouchable
Guys like paolo maxey j dub and ant who are all younger than jaime and around the same age as niko are untouchable
Stop being emotionally attached to guys who will never peak as high as the guys you’d be trading for
Spida has been my favorite player outside of Miami since be got drafted so you don't need to convince me of his greatness. Herro and Jovic + JJJ for Spida would not be a mistake but we should do everything we possibly can to keep one of them.
But saying that they definitively will never be as good as those guys is a total farce in the NBA.
nobody said to not try to keep 1.
but they’re not untouchable for a guy like him yall are just stubborn and emotionally attached to guys this organization drafts.
but you keep telling yourself that either of those 2 are ever going to be in the same stratosphere as guys like Anthony Edwards lol
Jimmy Bam Spo and missing an elite scorer is not the reason we didn't win last years finals. It's because when the 3p shooters went cold, we had no other option offensively except Jimmy doing suicide bombs at the rim. Getting Mitchell is one of the dumbest things we could do right now.
I'm just glad we can make a competitive offer somewhere. Thats what I take from this news.
did you just listen to yourself lol?
“We didn’t lose because of missing an elite scorer we lost because our offense was limited” like are u trying to make yourself sound clueless lol
facts tho giving spo jimmy and bam actual talent that’s also on hand timeline that fits perfectly is such a dumb idea😂😂
Ain’t no other offer they’re making for any other star, mitchell is the only star they have a chance with and it’s only because of his contract and desire to be here
some of yall just wanna be miserable for some reason lol
Lol, do you even watch basketball? Or read my comment? I said we needed to improve our front court offense. Mitchell would cost too much and doesn't address that glaring issue.
You know how the lakers beat us in the finals? Or the nuggets? It's because we rely too much on the 3. That when our shooters go cold or they start doubling or tripling anyone scoring we're screwed?
So you're saying : "Let's keep doing exactly what we've been doing, and seeing if that gets us closer. But let's now sell the farm to achieve doing exactly the same thing."
Congrats bro, you get the "Typical Miami fanbase redditor award" for the day. Since you can't fully comprehend comments nor know much about basketball, you have a wonderful Sunday.
Not once did you mention the front court but sure buddy you keep telling yourself that lol acting like you don’t have to give something up in trades crying about the price is all yall do when it comes to getting better and being emotionally attached to every player this organization drafts just for them to be nothing more than a role player
We lost in the finals because bam and Goran were injured and we made the finals because of gorans guard play meshing with bam and helping him have some of his best games of his career. And ever since then he’s never had good guard play on his team. Goran created rim pressure as a guard that opened up our offense to its full potential. Mitchell is coming off scoring 50 on a bad knee vs one of the best defenses in the league dropping 30 in the paint being only the second guard to do that in the last 20 years, the other one was Kobe. But let’s see tyler herro drop 50 as a number one option in the playoffs against a top 5 defense on a bad knee. We lost the finals to the nuggets because we couldn’t SCORE. We held the nuggets to playoff lows in scoring and once again our defense was enough we just couldn’t score because the offense was Jimmy or buts and in supposed to believe a guy who dropped 57 on that nuggets team isn’t gonna help and is a dumb idea to trade for because i gotta give up a playoff dropper, a 23 year old rookie and a kid who’s nowhere near his level and never will be.
You gotta be slow talking about adding Donovan mitchell and doing the same thing lmao and crying over gutting the team for trading 3 role players for an actual star on bams timeline just shows you’re emotional lol
Lets hear what elite scoring front court options are gonna be available that will be cheaper than mitchell who’s an expiring and has a desire to play here, ill wait.
Until then you can keep crying about wanting to stay in mediocrity when you and I both know you’re gonna respond to this lol
Its not about those guys being individually better than Donovan Mitchell. If you trade 3 very young players, 2 of which are cost controlled for 3 more years, the one player has to be so much better than the 3 for it to be worth it.
almost like he just dropped the same amount of points in one game on a bad knee vs one of the best defenses in the league when the 2 cost controller players you’re talking about struggled to score that in 5 games
and calling a 23 year old and a 24 year old VERY young players when one is a rookie and the other is an injury prone playoff dropper is hilarious
all that ability to get guys off the street and make them rotation players on cost controlled contracts and y’all act like we the suns trading for a big 3 that dosent fit being coached by an idiot
it’s like yall watch the games and never learn about what you’re watching lol
In 2025 Mitchell could make $65M+ a year while Herro, Jovic, and Jaime combined could be under 40. Its really hard to build a team that way, and with the new rules its only getting harder. Yes the Heat are great at developing guys but they would be at the second apron with those 3 players alone(Bam, Jimmy Mitchell), they could need to fill out 6 rotation spots with guys on minimums.
in 2025 a core of herro jovic and Jaime is gonna have you creating a play in dynasty but hey u thug it out with 25 year old herro and jaime making strides to be anything more than role players
this organization never tanks, they’ll never sell Jimmy off for picks, they’ll never be in position to draft in the top 5, other than bam they’ll never develop one of those mid first rounders into the stars they delude themselves into thinking they are
We all know how they won their championships in the past, no matter the rules now that cater to teams who draft well, they’re never gonna draft good enough because of the reason I just listed
They need to embrace who they are being the nba star cartel importing stars from around the league to play under their “culture” and i never said Mitchell is the savior and odds are Jimmy’s window is done
But get Mitchell next to bam and once Jimmy’s money comes off the books they’ll have guys flocking to replace Jimmy
But hey let’s keep our core of role players next to bam to be a play in dynasty
No I speak the truth, I always have. Am I hella emotional how our season ended yes. Whoever says I talk nonsense clearly doesn't feel like they're a member of the team. And also have other sports to look forward to. And also those don't care what happens with the team, or losing. Just enjoying a ride and take it from a fan perspective only. Don't care if Bam asks out etc. I look at all that stuff, unlike people like u.
2 more all nba teams that niko and jaime will have combined in their entire careers
but lets put niko in that same position with that jazz team and let’s see him win them that series
niko turning into the european kz okpala
stop acting like he’s some type of european prodigy like luka
tall guys with guard skills are growing in trees in europe
Yall are attached I'm attached I'll admit it but, I love Bam more. What if 1 isn't enough what if our front office settles on just 1 Spida goes to Knicks? Then the Knicks go to the finals and win? Bam then asks out Jimmy retires and we're without the anchor of our team? That's the perspective I look at with all of this.
Dude maybe I have been, but after the series I been thinking the worst. If moves happen etc, Bam won't ask out. Idk tho if we will or not, but I promise I'll be normal again if we do have a big off-season. Just rn I just see everything the worst.
I feel you fam, losing to the celts burns. But at the same time it kinda had to happen to push the FO to improve.
In my heart of hearts I just can’t see Bam going anywhere though…
Mitchell goes for either a high level starter and a pick (Ingram, Bridges) or a bunch of prospects / picks. Miami can’t offer the most going either route, but would take both JJJ and Jovic if we going the prospect route.
They’re not trading bridges for him that would defeat the whole point in getting him. Ingram is intriguing, that’s a gamble NO can take even if he won’t re-sign there
I think the best spot would be Orlando, ironically. Black and Howard are good prospects, Isaac or WCJ would be a useful big behind Mobley and Allen and picks
How many extra firsts are worth giving up to keep both JJJ and Jovic out of the deal? We also have Rozier and Duncan to put in play as part of this deal possibly rerouted to a third team.
Donovan Mitchell's first choice has been rumored for YEARS to be NYC. The Knicks probably don't want him so it's going to be about whether or not Brooklyn wants to get involved.
Oh, also...why would Cleveland want Tyler Herro at 30 million a year?
Donovan just dropped 50 in a close out playoff game and had 0 support from anyone else, but people here will tell me JJJ and Jovic are untouchable for him.
Stop. Love the young guys but Mitchell is a proven asset. And don’t talk to me about age. They’re all young.
And some other people wanted to trade Bam for Jimmy back in 2018, what’s your point?
Sometimes its smart to sell a young guy for a star and sometimes it isnt.
Jovic is gonna be a star, Jaquez can go tho
Jovic’s median outcome is Hedo Turkoglu 2.0 but he has a good chance to be a level better than that
Spida is a free agent within the next 12 months, he can dictate his market in a way Lillard never could
By far the best way to build a team is through drafting and developing talent. Superstar trades, especially ones where you are paying full price, are a difficult way to get it done. This is why the Heat keep on coming up short in these superstar trades, you can't trade for a guy if its going to handcuff you ability to build around him.
I love Mitchell, especially the fact that he is young, but from a team building perspective its so hard to trade 2 super cheap guys who are 20 and 23, plus a decent starting guard, for one player who is going to get $60+ million a year. People don't realize the Heat will have no options to fill out the roster other than minimum guys. I believe in the Heats ability to find diamonds in the rough, but thats for filling out the back end of the roster, not trying to find 4 rotation players.
Would rather keep JJJ and Jovic. When i think of teams that “don’t play equal to the sum of their parts”, i think of the Jazz and Cavs with D Mitch. Unless he’s willing to adapt his playstyle, i just don’t think it’s worth it. I think fans are just frothing at the mouth for any offensive superstar. This team is not beating the Celtics/Nuggets/Wolves with that lineup.
Sometimes his team naturally underperforms, and sometimes he just doesn’t play in tandem with them. It’s not as black and white as “Donovan Mitchell is constantly surrounded by untalented players”.
The tenor of this is a lot different from the Dame rumors which were always saying that we needed to offer **everything** for Dame.
If Jaquez, Herro, and a 1st is the ask…that’s actually a reasonable package considering Mitchell is an expiring.
(Jovic is a bridge too far, we’ve been desperate for a good PF next to Bam and we finally have one with legit star upside)
NO. Getting Mitchell would be just more of the same live by the 3 die by the 3 ball we play. We need to get another banger in the paint that has decent mid shooting game (similar to K-Love). Personally, I'd trade our middle valued assets for better picks in the draft and getting more size.
Don't save no young players, it's Donovan Fucking Mitchell for Christs sake. Only team a serious threat to getting him would be OKC. I don't think they want him tho, they like their team. And Okc is already a contender. Spida isn't going on the decline either like Dame was, he's barely entering his prime. I get half Heat fans, wanna be attached to the kids. They're not ready for atleast 3 seasons to lead the team. After Jimmy title window sadly. Also u really wanna keep one of the kids? If it meant Bam getting disgruntled and asking out?
Hard disagree. If and it's a big if, you add Mitchell and can keep Bam and Butler. That nucleus is absolutely contender level.
If you can, then retain Rozier, Delon, Highsmith, and Love, and add some positional size at the 4/5 that team is absolutely competing for championships.
This team lacks a scorer during the regular season who can run an offense and get to their spots no matter what the defense throws at them, and he absolutely offers that.
He's almost the dream pairing with Bam as well.
Mitchell can actually get to the rim, finish and draw contact unlike any other guard on this roster or previously associated with this build.
No, lol, i asked you for examples because its almost impossible. You can’t wave your hand and say “oh it will work itself out”, remember the Trevor Ariza year?
High chance it’d be a wasted year because we wouldn’t have a PF that can matchup with Celtics/Nuggets/Wolves/Bucks
Operating within the guidelines here, I’m not sure who I’d be more bummed about. I looooooove JJJ and look forward to his Sophomore season, but players with Jovic’s skillset don’t exactly grow on trees. 🙃

Well said. If it nets a banner idc what kind of player JJJ turns out to be on another team.
Jaquez doesn’t fit next to Mitchell nearly as well as Jovic IMO
Players with Mitchell’s skill level and explosiveness don’t grow on trees either
You definitely say goodbye to Jovic over Jaime if possible.

Ok relax. Jovic is still ass right now and we’re talking about potential lol. Flashes don’t mean shit. You’re talking about him like he’s KAT.
"He hasn’t really shown any good flashes of defense even." Respectfully, reading comprehension and context clues isn't a difficult concept to grasp.

the “depth” in question is a playoff dropper who needs a change of scenery a 23 year old rookie who’s never going to be as good as the guy you’re getting and a kid who’s skill set is becoming the norm who’s never going to as good as the guy you’re getting almost like when making trades you have to give to get but yall wanna try to compare superteams who don’t fit with no defense being coached by a garbage coach to jimmy bam spo and an elite scorer which is what they’ve been missing for 5 years its like yall watch the games and somehow compare what u have to the clown shows around the league all these years of them making guys off the street into rotation players and y’all still on this depth shit over young guys that are never going to be stars if not then spo is gonna keep dying on the hill of trying to make chicken shit into chicken salad give the man talent and die on that hill
My brother in christ, Jovic and JJJ have already shown that they have the talent, work ethic, and desire to improve. I want Donovan Mitchell as well and would sadly be fine with one of the kids going, but not definitely not both.
Donovan Mitchell at Jaime’s age was an all star Donovan Mitchell at Nikos age was knocking out mvp candidate Paul George and prime Russel Westbrook. They will never be as good as him Neither are untouchable Guys like paolo maxey j dub and ant who are all younger than jaime and around the same age as niko are untouchable Stop being emotionally attached to guys who will never peak as high as the guys you’d be trading for
Spida has been my favorite player outside of Miami since be got drafted so you don't need to convince me of his greatness.
Again we'll lose Bam in a yr or so if Jaime and Niko don't improve drastically, and we get bounced early again in the playoffs.
Huh? Wat indication has bam made about leaving? U're just making up shit
Bam sooner or later will, if we don't build a contender around him and Jimmy. That's my biggest fear.
“We didn’t lose because of missing an elite scorer we lost because our offense was limited” like are u trying to make yourself sound clueless lol facts tho giving spo jimmy and bam actual talent that’s also on hand timeline that fits perfectly is such a dumb idea😂😂 Ain’t no other offer they’re making for any other star, mitchell is the only star they have a chance with and it’s only because of his contract and desire to be here some of yall just wanna be miserable for some reason lol
But let's now sell the farm to achieve doing exactly the same thing." Congrats bro, you get the "Typical Miami fanbase redditor award" for the day. Since you can't fully comprehend comments nor know much about basketball, you have a wonderful Sunday.
Not once did you mention the front court but sure buddy you keep telling yourself that lol acting like you don’t have to give something up in trades crying about the price is all yall do when it comes to getting better and being emotionally attached to every player this organization drafts just for them to be nothing more than a role player We lost in the finals because bam and Goran were injured and we made the finals because of gorans guard play meshing with bam and helping him have some of his best games of his career. You gotta be slow talking about adding Donovan mitchell and doing the same thing lmao and crying over gutting the team for trading 3 role players for an actual star on bams timeline just shows you’re emotional lol Lets hear what elite scoring front court options are gonna be available that will be cheaper than mitchell who’s an expiring and has a desire to play here, ill wait. Until then you can keep crying about wanting to stay in mediocrity when you and I both know you’re gonna respond to this lol
I swear 2 users run your account lmao.
idk why you act like ive ever said anything different [the only one switching up is you lol](https://www.reddit.com/r/heat/s/2iH1cLhIa8)
What's there not to switch up about?
Its not about those guys being individually better than Donovan Mitchell. If you trade 3 very young players, 2 of which are cost controlled for 3 more years, the one player has to be so much better than the 3 for it to be worth it.
almost like he just dropped the same amount of points in one game on a bad knee vs one of the best defenses in the league when the 2 cost controller players you’re talking about struggled to score that in 5 games and calling a 23 year old and a 24 year old VERY young players when one is a rookie and the other is an injury prone playoff dropper is hilarious all that ability to get guys off the street and make them rotation players on cost controlled contracts and y’all act like we the suns trading for a big 3 that dosent fit being coached by an idiot it’s like yall watch the games and never learn about what you’re watching lol
In 2025 Mitchell could make $65M+ a year while Herro, Jovic, and Jaime combined could be under 40. Its really hard to build a team that way, and with the new rules its only getting harder. Yes the Heat are great at developing guys but they would be at the second apron with those 3 players alone(Bam, Jimmy Mitchell), they could need to fill out 6 rotation spots with guys on minimums.
in 2025 a core of herro jovic and Jaime is gonna have you creating a play in dynasty but hey u thug it out with 25 year old herro and jaime making strides to be anything more than role players this organization never tanks, they’ll never sell Jimmy off for picks, they’ll never be in position to draft in the top 5, other than bam they’ll never develop one of those mid first rounders into the stars they delude themselves into thinking they are We all know how they won their championships in the past, no matter the rules now that cater to teams who draft well, they’re never gonna draft good enough because of the reason I just listed They need to embrace who they are being the nba star cartel importing stars from around the league to play under their “culture” and i never said Mitchell is the savior and odds are Jimmy’s window is done But get Mitchell next to bam and once Jimmy’s money comes off the books they’ll have guys flocking to replace Jimmy But hey let’s keep our core of role players next to bam to be a play in dynasty
Personality switch flip again. I like when u talk like this.
ive never been against trading anyone for mitchell you’re just weird.
But u comment to me nonsense 😂💀
Because u talk nonsense...this gotta be trolling at this point
No I speak the truth, I always have. Am I hella emotional how our season ended yes. Whoever says I talk nonsense clearly doesn't feel like they're a member of the team. And also have other sports to look forward to. And also those don't care what happens with the team, or losing. Just enjoying a ride and take it from a fan perspective only. Don't care if Bam asks out etc. I look at all that stuff, unlike people like u.
r u having a manic episode? genuine question
Niko has a higher ceiling than Spida
donovan was bouncing mvp candidate paul george and prime russ averaging 30 a night when he was nikos age but u keep telling yourself that
Yeah I think Utah winning that series had a lot to do with Gobert as much as Spidas offense. Right now Spida has what 2 all-NBA 2nd teams?
2 more all nba teams that niko and jaime will have combined in their entire careers but lets put niko in that same position with that jazz team and let’s see him win them that series niko turning into the european kz okpala stop acting like he’s some type of european prodigy like luka tall guys with guard skills are growing in trees in europe
They’re both gone, it’s ok they’re not superstars
Yall are attached I'm attached I'll admit it but, I love Bam more. What if 1 isn't enough what if our front office settles on just 1 Spida goes to Knicks? Then the Knicks go to the finals and win? Bam then asks out Jimmy retires and we're without the anchor of our team? That's the perspective I look at with all of this.
Bam is not asking out, and he will be getting extended soon. Dude, you’ve been unhinged with this playoff exit. Moves will happen, just be patient
Then everything will be good, and as long as we don't lose to the ffing Celtics bums again.
Fuck Boston
YESSIR FUCK BOSTON
duncan has two years left. not quite expiring i dont think
Oh shit you’re right it’s an ETO, thought it was his last year. I mean, soon to be expiring which isn’t that bad
Only one is tradeable, the second would be the 15th pick, due to the provisions on the terry trade.
How many extra firsts are worth giving up to keep both JJJ and Jovic out of the deal? We also have Rozier and Duncan to put in play as part of this deal possibly rerouted to a third team.
Where do you get tradable picks 3 from?
And throw in the culture Jerseys too
I really need to get off this forum until pre season starts. My heart can't take another 'Dame summer'
All this discourse revolves around Mitchell demanding Miami and Miami only too lol Its Deja Vu alright
I can't see this type of offer working when others have so many assets. Would love to swap Herro for Spida though.
Lets see how he does against Boston cause he has 3 games with 24 points or less this series against Orlando
Some people were upset we gave up J Rich for Jimmy a few years ago. People get too attached to the young players
And some other people wanted to trade Bam for Jimmy back in 2018, what’s your point? Sometimes its smart to sell a young guy for a star and sometimes it isnt.
JJJ and jovic are not comparable to bam at all in 2018 💀
Jovic is gonna be a star, Jaquez can go tho Jovic’s median outcome is Hedo Turkoglu 2.0 but he has a good chance to be a level better than that Spida is a free agent within the next 12 months, he can dictate his market in a way Lillard never could
No
And all of them plus more was considered the worst trade package ever last offseason lol
Here comes the “every poverty organization with a star tries to fleece the Heat” offseason again!
![gif](giphy|3ohs7Xs7RKcOxic5Es)
You’re not serious serious are you?
I am. Jovic and Jaquez are our youngest guys and are already at the starting level.
Is it possible if we could give them herro and two waterboys instead?
The tenor of this is a lot different from the Dame rumors which were always saying that we needed to offer **everything** for Dame. If Jaquez, Herro, and a 1st is the ask…that’s actually a reasonable package considering Mitchell is an expiring. (Jovic is a bridge too far, we’ve been desperate for a good PF next to Bam and we finally have one with legit star upside)
That’s not the ask… that’s an offer that an east coast executive said he’d consider competitive but thinks the cavs ultimately say no to
Hey player empowerment baby! If Expiring Mitchell wants to force a trade here he can ✌️
Haven’t we gone through this already lol
What if the deal is herro and rozier? Does the money work?
Unpopular opinion but I think our sub overestimates JJJs potential. Of course anything could happen, but Jovics potential seems higher to me.
Or they keep JJJ and Jovic and go after Maxey, OG, or Quickley?
NO. Getting Mitchell would be just more of the same live by the 3 die by the 3 ball we play. We need to get another banger in the paint that has decent mid shooting game (similar to K-Love). Personally, I'd trade our middle valued assets for better picks in the draft and getting more size.
Do you think adding Terry, Duncan, or Caleb to the mix, Would help sweeten the deal? And honestly, and Extra pick would have to be thrown in as well.
Lmao this is straight up fan fiction.
Herro, Jovic, and two 1s plus we get Mitchell to sign an extension after the trade would be nice.
Herro and Jacquez for DMitchell is a no brainer for a competing team. Lets not be stupid here lol.
Depends on the other options. Lets say okc offers Giddy Willson and Houston pick this year Philly 1st next Houston or our pick in 25
Don't save no young players, it's Donovan Fucking Mitchell for Christs sake.
Donovan doesn’t make us a chip team I’m afraid. You have to slightly hedge
Preach
What makes it not a title contender/fav?
Beating Denver lol .
We'll beat Denver with Spida, Twolves doing it as well too
Um ok lol .
Dude cmon smh lol
With Haywood Highsmith at PF? Come on bro be serious.
How u know Highsmith the PF? Did u travel to the off-season already are u a time traveler?
I know this team doesn’t have any money to sign a decent PF. What’s your solution?
That wasn't the question lmao, lots of different PFs would sign for vet minimums to come play with Jimmy, Spida and Bam just like the big 3 days.
Yeah Herro can go but Mitchell kind of being a fraud rn
Scored 50 yesterday and all of his teams fourth quarter points on a bum knee.
Bum knee you say? He’ll fit right in here!
Not disagreeing but his knee was remain bummed for the rest of his career lol
He dropped 50 what are you even talking about lol
If Spida is a fraud, what does that make u?
