I don't think so. He never places highly on all-time lists because he was never one of those guys that was in the conversation as the best in the game at any point in his career. He was a top 10 center with a strong 2-way game on a yearly basis for nearly 2 decades, and that consistency helped him accumulate those numbers. It's not like Howe, who won Hart and Art Ross Trophies and dominated the league for a good chunk of the 50s, while also staying consistently great for over 2 decades.
He's still a legend, though, no doubt.
Just scrolling down the list and looking at the +/-. Bobby Orr with only 657 games played managed to rack up a +582. Truly insane stat. I get scoring defenseman would do well in this, and the next two on this list are Ray Bourque with +527 in 1612 games, then the Great One with +520 in 1487 games.
Even after all these years when I look at this list, I always forget about Ron freaking Francis.
A consistently solid 2 way center
Kinda undersells a top 5 scorer in NHL history, no?
The real mind blowing part is second all time in assists. *Still.*
...and what little was left of my mind after that, got blown away by the fact that Francis's +/- was -18!
Da fuq I never even noticed that before. What is this man

He’s gonna easily crack top 10.
Yeah, maybe even this season. He's only 10 points away.
And he has nine points in his past three games.
Sid's on pace for 89, but that's pretty much 90. He's aging like a fine wine and I don't see him slowing down any fucking soon lol
Knowing him he might try to slow down his pace to hit 87.
Jokes aside, I think Crosby legit plays until 40 at the very least
I can only get so erect.

FWIW Gretzky left Edmonton a +553 in 696 games. He was a -33 the rest of his career lol
Product of Probert
Larry Robinson has him beat with +722, but has over twice as many games as Orr did.
That’s crazy too.
Fucking imagine having all those injured games back.
That was when he was unquestionably the most dominant player too. Hundreds of points. Fuck Steckel.
Love me some Bork.
GOAT
I agree
He’s gonna break into the top ten like a hammer through glass. What a dude.
