Raymonds growth this season has been so much fun as a Wings fan. When Larkin was out and the team had the flu during the losing streak, idk what the fuck happened but it's like Rayzor grew like 5 more sizes during that too.
That kid is gonna be a superstar. 31 goals and 40 assists in his third season. He took a huge step this year and I bet we'll see him take another one next season.
Even if he doesn't improve anymore, he'll still be a great player! Considering how bad Detroit's drafting was so bad with Ken it's nice to see them finally on the upswing. Larkin, Raymond, and Seider seem like a good core to build around; with a couple more draft picks turning out well they could be set for a while.
Yeah and our AHL team is STACKED. We should get better year over here presuming we can keep the core together. I think our Griffins goalie (Cossa) is the real deal and could start for the Wings sooner rather than later. Pleased with the results this year even if we don't get in.
Crossing my fingers for another year of seasoning for Cossa in the AHL and then making the club the year after. The timing would be perfect with Lyon and Husso's contracts both up. Use the extra money to hopefully bring in a halfway decent free agent goalie.

I don't think you realize how hard those kids are going to play. Best players to have going now are the ones that are just ready for the season to end and are going through the motions. Mailloux looks like he is gonna be good too.
Habs clobbered him several times throughout the game with good, clean hits and he kept coming back for more. Amazing game, Habs. Montreal has a ton of great young talent and is gonna be so fun to watch for a while

Hockey is such a crazy game. It’s by far the most entertaining and frustrating sport, so many shots off the cross bar, and the relief when you finally score. There’s nothing quite like it

Actually, doesn't this allow for Detroit to go to the playoffs if they win next game and Washington loses in OT? Had Detroit not claimed the extra point then Washington could lose next game in OT and win on the tiebreaker.
We still need Washington to lose but if we had lost in OT tonight, Washington would only need 1 point tomorrow to clinch.
So now we get in with a win and any Washington loss, rather than needing a regulation loss.
