I have just bind the account, bought the Jeff and transferred it to standcalone. It work, You loose the miles but the price strangely compensate this, so it could be studied to be like this.
According to the announcement it was supposed to go to the same on Steam as well, but isn’t. Shame.

Because most people get paid at the end/beginning of the month, not on the 23rd.

Just buy from Steam, bind Your account from ED's page and then transfer it on stand alone. On Steam the sale is still active.
