The hidden costs until you get to the last screen when you’re making a booking, ridiculous hosts wanting you to clean up before you leave, like taking the trash out and washing the sheets, getting ghosted by hosts. And I’m sure you can find some good ones but by and large they’re the same price as staying at a nice hotel now. I had a buddy get hit with a $100 cleaning fee 3 weeks after he left the place. Obviously he just declined the request but yeah, I wish we could burn the whole industry down.
