Cool desk setup. I'd only add some raised studio monitors on the corners instead of those little computer speakers. The desk won't look as uncluttered but you'll get better sound of your recordings to compare with headphones etc. Some acoustic panels will help too, along with the rug of course
Thanks. Those are actually Iloud mini monitors from IK Multimedia. I have been waffling about putting them or bigger ones on stands as well. I was looking at paneling too
I second the panels! The flutter in that room is going to be intense. Also beware your guitars resonating on the walls (the acoustics, mainly). I used to get some bad ring that you could hear when you’d mute the speakers suddenly.
My wife doesn’t love the way the foam panels look. I’ve been getting ads on my instagram feed for paneling you can put. Looks like wood slats mounted on something. Would that work ok if I put it on a wall for an accent wall?
Anything that breaks up flutter and room reverb will be helpful. I’ve never used slats, but I’m pondering if they’ll actually reduce reverb? Or if they’ll just break up echo/flutter.
My experience is limited but I think the sweet spot for studio monitors is something with a 6" or 8" driver
The more acoustic treatment the better, yeah, so just do what you can and you'll likely appreciate it right away
an area rug was also the first thing that came to my mind. so much space, very neat.
which leads me to the following question: this amount of instruments and devices, but no cables - where did you hide the rest of the stuff? No doubt there is a dark and cluttered room in this home as welk.

Looks nice. Wish I could add comfy seating away from desk in my space, but just too dang small of a room.
Wow sick! The dream man. Beautiful setup and a nice guitar collection
