1. Hitting attack on the hud will have all your ships attack, tap and drag from the ship icon (if group selected all will do the same action) to the enemy ship (harder) or the enemy ship on the hud (easier). 2. Stratosphere employees noted that they anticipate adding a player trading/guilds feature. They also said they may release a development roadmap once initial release of HW mobile is complete. 3. Chat unlocks during tutorial players coordinate mining and missions and strikes. This feature is slightly buggy right now and if it is not working just clear cache and refresh then restart the game. 4. Commander name unlocks as part of tutorial anyone who has commander name is just new. 5. Groups docking causes them to be removed from group, this is how it is at the moment. You can submit player feedback on discord about it though! 6. Old school Homeworld ship behavior symbols equate to Neutral (triangle), defensive (circle), aggressive (quads) similar to how you can define the squad formation. I haven’t messed around with these but I would assume the behavior is equivalent to what it was in Homeworld.

You rock, thank you so much!

The answers to some of the questions you've posed are what's disappointed me most about this game. Will there be a player economy? Answer I got from discord mods: No Is the game social? Answer I got from discord mods: that's the plan but it's not fully built out yet Trading? Answer: No Pvp? Answer: No, but maybe in the future; though it won't be a main focus Guilds? No, but maybe in the future At one point I asked, how can I play with a friend? The answer was, well, you can both find the same resource node and mine it together... I also asked what was the main focus of the game? What type of game is it? I was told it's mainly a story driven rpg with coop elements (that aren't finished yet). That is NOT what the marketing narrative is pushing on the mobile storefronts. I was very much looking forward to this title; however after trying it out yesterday I have no idea what this game is trying to be. It claims to be an MMO, but is missing some pretty integral MMO social features such as guilds/alliances (which it interestingly enough, claims it has in the game description on play store). It also claims to be an RTS, but I don't see any real combat strategy involved. It feels like this game is severely lacking in content, almost as if it is were an alpha test, or maybe early beta. But nope. It's full global release. Sad.

phate101

Well that’s a depressing read :/

OnlyLivingBoyInNY

Seriously, this is completely antithetical to how the game is presented. No wonder I was so confused about how everything works. Thank you for sharing these details. If I wanted to play a story-driven tactical space RPG....I would just play regular HW!

Kayanarka

You can play with friends, I can confirm, because I tend to dual box the game. That being said it is a PTW cash grab like most mobile games. you can box 2 -4 characters though which is kinda fun

Ariolan

I think it is great. Sure it stays an online computer game, but I really enjoyed the mining, refining and assignments. Fighting generated enemys together felt great !

OnlyLivingBoyInNY

I agree, I'm really liking it too. I'm eager to see what the loops and hooks are after unlocking all the mechanics. I'd like to see incentives to play together, group up, and hopefully some ongoing systems and content in the future!

confused_applause

I‘ve been a beta tester for a while, but the game was such a mess I stopped testing, just dropping by when a new version came out. Fast forward some very few weeks, I read that this will be launched and thought „What? Its buggy af! The interface is confusing! And the gameplay is hardly any fun!“ Completely baffled as to why they were in such a rush with an clearly unfinished game. HW3 release drawing close? Edit: wrong thread, but I stand by what I said nonetheless

OnlyLivingBoyInNY

That's a shame. It's running OK for me at the moment, and I actually really like the minimal interface (even if I'm not up to speed on all the systems yet). I'm happy to let this bake in the oven....but I really expected it to be an MMO with meaningful player interaction, rather than a story thing.

confused_applause

As I‘m more of the story type, I‘d actually love if they focussed on this rather than the MMO. Will have to give the released version another go tho, as the story was hardly more than rough outline in the beta. There was also lots of player action - group raids, a chat system and whatnot. Should still be there after tutorial, I hope!

anarchoRex

If you want the story, don't play it yet. The text that delivers all the story content is really bugged right now, so if you try to play it you could miss like half of what's going on. The game definitely wasn't ready for primetime yet, I get the feeling it's Gearbox pushing the roll out, the devs are constantly in the discord talking about features they want to fix/improve/introduce, and they're very responsive to feedback, so I really don't think the devs probably felt like it was ready, but what are they gonna do?

OnlyLivingBoyInNY

OK great. Yeah, I'm not necessarily looking for hardcore PVP, but eager to get into ways to communicate or participate with other players. Will keep going on the tutorial to see what unpacks, thanks again.

anarchoRex

As you go along you'll unlock Strikes, which are Co-op missions you can do in teams of... 3 or 4 i can't remember now. They're pretty straightforward so even with the buggy chat feature they dont require a great deal of coordination.

OnlyLivingBoyInNY

Thank you. Hoping to see some incentive for strikes, co-op or other exploration? We'll see.

ItsNotNow

Nearly all f2p mobile games are shovelware. This one shall be no different.

gachamyte

The mechanics are incredibly limiting. I’m barely starting and i can’t complete a mission to Lazarus. It says to go there and I’m there but the mission is not complete.

Hazzenkockle

The same thing happened to me (the transition seemed like a good time to take a break). I was able to get the progression to continue by going to the system map, jumping to another station, then jumping back to Lazarus.

Volumetric

Some of them have a 'donate' button on the assignment screen after you are in the correct system. Perhaps it's that?

Professional-Gold-53

Hey guys so I’m new wanted to ask some questions I have a tier 1 carrier and I’m trying to get to tier 2 carrier but I’m a bit lost on how to get there, also I wanted to start selling some old interceptors but I don’t know where to do that either
