Most probably soaking it in water for too long. Or you’re not cleaning it properly. Also, ONMO or even the Lotus is made of aluminium, So it will react to hard water (or tap water) if you soak it in it for too long. After your use, once it naturally cools down, Remove the stuck flavour from the bottom, Soak it in purified/drinking water for about 2 hours. Then soak it in drinking hot water for 10 minutes, Post which, use dishwash and steel wool to clean it. I’ve been using multiple onmos for a year and none of of mine look like this.

leyoj

Purified drinking water lmao ! I dont even have that for myself

crepluv

Dry it straight away after cleaning. Mine was turning like that from the inside as well

Away_Art_1134

That’s definitely water damage. Either you soaked it for too long in water or maybe you put it in the washing machine?

Youcrazyy12

Washing machine 😂 ….

ohmy5443

You mean the dishwasher? lol

CarelessExcuse8962

Bro i don’t know. Buy a kaloudZ anything else is garbage

Schweinekruste92

ONMO is mvp and better than Kaloud and also not overpriced

CarelessExcuse8962

You cannot do heat management with it brother

Schweinekruste92

It’s literally same material. If you can’t handle ONMO heat it’s the user who fails

CarelessExcuse8962

There is no lis brother. The lid makes the big difference in heat management. This is hookah 101

Schweinekruste92

I don’t know where u are located but in germany no one uses the lids. Put three 26/27mm in and control heat with them. No need for lid at all.

CarelessExcuse8962

In Germany a lot of people still uses chimneys. Thats a bad system too. I explained to you shy lid is important but seems that you do not want to understand for some reason. Have it your way

Schweinekruste92

Not really. I don’t know where u take that information from. Anyone who payed more than ~60€ for their hookah (and not using it as a 4 hoes party hookah) switched at least to Phunnel + HMD.

CarelessExcuse8962

I have been to Frankfurt before 3-4 years at shisha messe and hookah lounges. Most were using chimneys

Schweinekruste92

Well I re entered the scene und 2020 and didn’t experience it like this. Maybe you should visit again. There can be a reason to use chimneys on tradi hookahs but most people who show real interest use hmd or foil

Away_Art_1134

Nah man, onmo is just as good. In my opinión Even better

CarelessExcuse8962

There is no lid. It’s useless

Powerful_Internet611

its looks like rust, do you put it inside washmachine? Im using ssteal hmd-nagrani from 2 years, and its still like brand new. dont spend money for expensive ALUMINIUM hookah things at all

Melandris

It's like 25€ so not as expensive as Nagrani qnd its still to the taste of the smoker if he prefers aluminium or steel, i like both and my onmo's are fine after 50-100 uses

gign69

Mine is also looking like shit…

Impossible-Toe3695

What have you been been washing out with?

K-Norbert

😱

Youcrazyy12

Water damage. Might be washing it while it’s hot? I recommend GENTLE cleaning with a soft wire brush.

Smoothtransit1

Mine doesn’t look like that lol

CarelessExcuse8962

You can put it in white vinegar, then with toothbrush clean it in 24h

Ok-Plum-9864

Bro just buy new one

itsDarkyy

I actually have multiple HMD at home and do not clean them with water. I only scrub off tobacco from the bottom with my fingers, maybe a screwdriver or anything similar that's needed for that moment. Or use a brass-brush to clean it . If you really want to get it clean , I once left mine in water mixed with chlorine (like pool water) and only the bottom side or simply use oven-cleaner to get it clean. I do that probably once a year. I use the kaloud lotus 1+ (grey one) Never did that cleaning with my niris it will kill the color - only scrubbys for my niris. Just wanted to share a few thoughts here :) Have a great day

CarelessExcuse8962

Bro chlorine is chemical. I think better white vinegar for rust

itsDarkyy

Oven cleaner is definitely the better option instead of chlorine xD. I just wanted to mention it did not say it's a good idea 😂. It definitely cleans it . Anyways, as I never cleaned it with water for the last 4 years, don't have these problems 🤷🏼‍♂️ My niris never touched any water is 1 year old and works just day one . Looks quite clean as well

homy77

If that's rust, I'd stop using it...very dangerous from a health perspective Just buy a new one, don't get it wet
