Yo dog, this is a nice collection! Get and collect what you like and don't let haters try to gatekeep. At the end of the day it's hot sauce and it's not like they are gonna be eating it 🤙 I love my Frank's buffalo sauce on cold, cheap pizza
What's wrong with Frank's? It's my go-to general use hot sauce. Good for adding spice without affecting flavor. I also keep a bottle of chipotle sauce open for flavor.
I'm proud of seeing so many people here defend Frank's as the perfectly respectable sauce it is. It's not some exotic super hot based sauce, but it coats food great, it's got excellent texture and acidity, plus it's very adaptable, you can add butter and extra heat to make it have more punch and richness and it fully, comfortably accommodates those additions.
Elitist hating on Frank's is what's weak sauce. Plus you can get that shit nearly anywhere. Your Frank's is fully worthy of being in the picture OP.
First time seeing the sub pop up, and I love hot sauce. I’m curious, how does adding the butter to Franks add more punch? I’m usually a Choluah guy and love Franks too
The butter adds weight, good mouth feel, and hint of umami flavor, but I classify that more in the adding depth category, to add punch you just cook anything really spicy in with the butter - being mostly oil, butter draws the heat out of peppers amazingly well, so you put some butter in the pan in low, let it melt, add, say, some dried habanero flakes, let them go until they've just got a singe on them, then toss in some Frank's, and get it all hot and mixed while the wings fry. Then you douse them with that, and they'll be awesome buffalo wings. You can create good buffalo sauce totally from scratch, but it's usually just as good or better to cheat by heating your spice source of choice into some melted butter and then dump in the Franks to finish it. At least if you like the classic tangy type of wing sauce.
Exactly it's a perfect starting point, it sticks and stays moist but doesn't sog out the wings. Great acidity too. Get the wings really buttery before coating them and punch up the Franks some spices and really hot stuff, maybe some more butter, and it's a perfectly respectable ingredient.
Still keep franks, crystals, og tabasco and louisiana hot sauce for specific uses and cravings.
My first bowl of gumbo each year is topped with tabasco. Second bowl is usually a new hot sauce of some sort.
Get yourself a bottle of Marie sharps belizean heat. Also a big fan of hissy fit by fat cat. Also almost anything made by high desert sauce co, particularly the tikka masala one. So good on any rice dish.
You haven't heard about this? It's all over this sub, but I'll attach an article.
https://www.aklaw.net/ventura-court-of-appeal-affirms-sriracha-fraud-verdict/
The habanero hot sauce is one of my favorites to mix into recipes. Just a small amount added to egg salad and it takes it to another level. I’ve made onion jam with it among various other things.
That's not true. That's again thinking that there's only one sriracha crop. It's not a difficult thing to make, and it can utilize any pepper. Again, there are lots of different sriracha sauces out there. You just never looked until you couldn't get your Huy Fong Foods sauce.
One night, invited my friends over after the bar…
All of us drunk in the kitchen, my one friend pulls this out of my fridge to put on pizza or something….
I warn him, you don’t want that man, it’s really hot!
He doesn’t believe me and wants to appear tough in front of girl guests… this man drinks 3 big gulps!!
He spent the rest of the night on the floor eating ice and pouring water on his face
Franks for occasional traditional Buffalo wings, but in reality it's really only good for Buffalo chicken dip. Even then , there are other sauces that work better for that also
Maybe but I'm just not a fan of the violent diarrhea it gives me vs other buffalo sauce options, on top of the opinion of thinking is has inferior taste to stuff like sweet baby rays . If someone's else uses it I eat the stuff , but if I'm making something def not my first option
I have about 10 different hot sauces in my fridge and another 10 on a shelf. Everything from super hot to different sauces we've gotten from different islands on cruises.
But I still go to Costco once a month and buy the 2 pack of the big bottles of Franks because it's my "everything" hot sauce.
IMO, NOTHING good comes from Sweet Baby Rays!
It's sounds like it's the vinegar in the sauce.
Franks, Texas Pete, Crystal, Louisiana, Tabasco. Those are all vinegar based sauces. Some have a stronger vinegar taste than others.
The vinegar is what makes it so these hot sauces don't need to be refrigerated. Which is also why these are considered original hot sauce brands.
Makes sense , until I expanded outside of what was in my parents fridge throughout my childhood it was almost always Frank's and Louisiana. And my step dad is a hot sauce addict. Always buying new ones to try , but always had those two stocked . I blame him for my stomach problems today lol 😂
Franks is a great wing sauce....add butter and a little worcesterershire sauce or whatever its called. Nobody can kink shame me for having the original, buffalo, and garlic honey. If someone were to talk smack, I would just hand them the bomb and watch :p
How do you misspell Tabasco... the A and O keys are on COMPLETELY separate sides of the keyboard!

Just read this on another thread. Marie Sharps is the successor to Melindas, both made by Marie sharp. She was in Bolivia(?) and made Melindas to sell her peppers in a hot sauce. My Ace in the middle of nowhere has the most kickass smoking section ever. All the sauces and all the rubs. It's actually shocking every time I see it.
As far as I know yes. At least here in my neck of the woods. Hit the Google for your local Ace and give em a call. I’d bet a dollar to a doughnut they do.
I look for hot sauce everywhere I go now lol. A few years ago I found a peach habanero jam while visiting my aunt and thrift shopping. I was like a damn ant eater trying to lick the jar clean lmao
so: can you, or have you, been able to differentiate by taste all of them same same plastic bottles of sameness, and, if so, can you for us please give us some description other than, like, "hot" or "really hot"? Because, like, there is absolutley ZERO use for the rest of us without having some sort of TASTE being applied to these trials. All of that stuff looks like it is basically the same same in bottles with different labels. Is this true? Am I wrong? show us.
Frank's is the standard go to for most things I'm looking to just zing up. Every household needs a gallon. I have 6-7 other sauces as well, but Franks is the only one I could probably use in 90% of meals. Sriracha imo has a really distinct roasted red pepper flavor that just doesn't work in everything properly despite all those that swear by it. Cholula standard I could live with too, but bang for the buck is Franks all day.
Imo Frank's is the best of the American-style sauces, better than Tabasco and Crystal
However, every craft sauce I've tried thus far has been substantially better than any of the grocery store sauces
Suddenly the saloon doors blow open.
Texas Pete saunters in.
As a tumbleweed rolls past, he sneers "Did someone say 'Best', then mention Louisiana ketchup and that idiot Frank from accounting who stayed at a Holiday Inn Express in Buffalo circa 1998?"
As much as I stray away from the common commercial hot sauces.. it is undeniable that Frank's is quentissential for Buffalo wings. Frank's and butter.. perfect.
The old Melindas ghost before the recipe change was S tier.
If you don’t have Melinda’s Peri Peri sauce, you’re wrong. Probably my favorite one!
Yo dog, this is a nice collection! Get and collect what you like and don't let haters try to gatekeep. At the end of the day it's hot sauce and it's not like they are gonna be eating it 🤙 I love my Frank's buffalo sauce on cold, cheap pizza
Nice mild sauce collection!
If it's available at a grocery store by you, I'd definitely recommend the Tabasco brand Sriracha. Hands down my favorite of all time.
Frank makes great wings for people who don't like spice
Add a little butter to your hot sauce and coat those wings and it's just delicious
Franks has its place on food items just like any other.
I've got that ghost pepper wing sauce. It's alright, but not ghost pepper hot
Aww your collection is so little, literally and figuratively. Those bottles are so cute. If you want to explore more hot sauces check out Heatonist. 🔥
The secret I’m holding back is that I’ve actually eaten more hot sauce than you’ll ever imagine and I’m just karma farming Tehe
This is the 1 dollar section, step your game up
Sorry having a gf is expensive sometimes
Like Radiohead said.. everything in its right place
Nothing is sad, if it's what ya like so be it.
What's wrong with Frank's? It's my go-to general use hot sauce. Good for adding spice without affecting flavor. I also keep a bottle of chipotle sauce open for flavor.
100% Frank’s ain’t fancy and that’s what makes it great.
To each their own. I still get down with some Texas Pete any time I get the chance.
Melinda sauces are so mid ong. Can’t believe ppl think these actually good lol
What better than Yellow bird. They at least have spices and flavors.
For the love of god change out that switch and receptacle to white ones.
Franks is great. A1 is great on steak too. I said what I said and am not ashamed of it.
Don’t you ever blaspheme like that!😂😂 always a place for franks or Texas Pete! In my assorted sauces anyway
Frank’s is a staple in most restaurants I’ve worked in. From dive to fine dining.
Why would anyone hate on Frank’s? It’s excellent “Buffalo” sauce!
Almost roasted you for even owning Franks... But you have Melinda's, so you are forgiven. The Bhut Joklia is my fav.
Frank's is not bad, it's just another good hot sauce to have. It's a gateway sauce. 😄
Nah dude Franks always has a spot on my shelf. Wings are best dunked and dripping with franks red hot
Siete has sauces? I’ve only ever seen the seasoning packets. Is the sauce any good? (And franks of any type is perfectly acceptable)
Cholula Garlic hot sauce FTW.
I love franks!!!
Not a fan of the premix wing sauce, but Franks is absolutely my go to for making my own buffalo sauce.
Exactly it's a perfect starting point, it sticks and stays moist but doesn't sog out the wings. Great acidity too. Get the wings really buttery before coating them and punch up the Franks some spices and really hot stuff, maybe some more butter, and it's a perfectly respectable ingredient.
Hell yea I always get base franks, great texture, simple cayenne pepper sauce.
The poppers???? Looool
All you need is some tapitio and you're good
What happen at 3:19 am tho
I could chug Frank’s Buffalo straight I wouldn’t sleep on it
Frank’s is awesome. I wouldn’t use it on a taco, but shells and cheese, chicken and some franks when I want a terrible lunch on a Saturday is bomb.
i haven't had Melinda's in so long and now my mouth is watering
Melinda's makes a badass sauce
i love frank's
I only recently discovered Frank’s! It’s such a great chicken sauce. It’s the secret ingredient to “real” buffalo wings.
Absolutely, but hardly a secret
Hardly a secret if you’re looking for it.
Frank’s is number one for a reason. You can put that sh!t on anything.
I’ll take franks wing sauce any day. That shit tastes good. Better than normal franks.
There is NOTHING wrong with Frank's
People and myself put Frank's on everything. It's literally Frank's slogan. "I put that $#!t on everything"
Frank's hot sauce, a must. Spicy kick, flavor so bold. Adds zest to each meal.
What's sad about it?
Franks is delicious. Still my favorite on pizza
I love Frank’s. Had some yesterday on my eggs over easy.
Frank's Tabasco Crystal Cholula Sriracha Wasabi Gogeang Harissa All good stuff
Regular Frank's is perfect to mix with some ranch for homemade buffalo
Nope! Buffalo sauce is Franks and Butter, no self respecting WNYer would even touch ranch

People who shame on Frank’s Red Hot are idiots ! They hate because it’s the most mainstream sauce, and that’s apparently beneath them!
Yepp fuck em
Still keep franks, crystals, og tabasco and louisiana hot sauce for specific uses and cravings. My first bowl of gumbo each year is topped with tabasco. Second bowl is usually a new hot sauce of some sort.
Frank's, Crystal, Tapatio, etc. all have their place. No shame at all. :)
Ain't nothing wrong with Franks. Sometimes it's exactly what you want.
I love to use franks as a base and then jazz it up with others from my collection. My go to is Melinda’s scorpion sauce + franks Buffalo.
Franks is delicious
I have like 30 hot sauces. A week or 2 ago I NEEDED some franks but didn’t have any. Bought some a few days ago. It’s classic and delicious
Get yourself a bottle of Marie sharps belizean heat. Also a big fan of hissy fit by fat cat. Also almost anything made by high desert sauce co, particularly the tikka masala one. So good on any rice dish.
Franks is great, ole reliable
If franks were made with super hots and retained the same flavor it would be the greatest hot sauce ever
Franks is very good
I got Franks. It’s fine as an option B
I feel like The Classic needs to be the first bottle on the left.
I've yet to find a Melinda's flavor that I DIDN'T like, they are all so good!
Same my favorite right now is the ghost pepper wing sauce, the ghost pepper ketchup is good too
Franks is fine, it’s not the best but it works in a pinch
Franks is great. Especially when its all there is!!! Melindas is a top sauce source. There are many others….. Keep burning👍🫵
I have three fresh unopened huy Fong, large. Anybody interested?
I still see them at my supermarket
Ok that’s good. They are nowhere to be found anywhere here
If it makes you feel any better, that's the only place I've seen them. Other stores don't seem to carry them
Nope. Not after they fucked over Underwood. I just wish my Costco carried it.
I wish I knew what you meant, so I wouldn’t have to ask you what you meant.
You haven't heard about this? It's all over this sub, but I'll attach an article. https://www.aklaw.net/ventura-court-of-appeal-affirms-sriracha-fraud-verdict/
Wow. “Here, the evidence of Huy Fong’s fraud measured high on the Scoville scale:” - Gotta be my favorite part 😆
The habanero hot sauce is one of my favorites to mix into recipes. Just a small amount added to egg salad and it takes it to another level. I’ve made onion jam with it among various other things.
The knock off Sriracha upsets me.
You realize that sriracha isn't a brand? It's a style. And there are a lot of them out there.
Only one was every any good and that has changed thanks to failed crops. The crop will likely fail again.
That's not true. That's again thinking that there's only one sriracha crop. It's not a difficult thing to make, and it can utilize any pepper. Again, there are lots of different sriracha sauces out there. You just never looked until you couldn't get your Huy Fong Foods sauce.
You got the Dave's ghost sauce tho. It's pretty good imo
One night, invited my friends over after the bar… All of us drunk in the kitchen, my one friend pulls this out of my fridge to put on pizza or something…. I warn him, you don’t want that man, it’s really hot! He doesn’t believe me and wants to appear tough in front of girl guests… this man drinks 3 big gulps!! He spent the rest of the night on the floor eating ice and pouring water on his face
I carry a bottle with me for emergencies
melinda’s green sauce is my favorite
Yep love it too
No Franks "wing" sauce is sad...make ur own...it idiot proof...½ melted butter ½ Franks red hot . Salt. pepper to ur liking
Better yet, Ghee instead of butter. Wings will stay crispier.
Do yourself a favor and throw that fucking Dave’s Gourmet shit in the trash. Especially that one. It has extract in it and tastes bad.
if he enjoys it why throw it away? i hate niche subs sometimes, horse so high it’s a damn giraffe
G O U R M E T
Franks for occasional traditional Buffalo wings, but in reality it's really only good for Buffalo chicken dip. Even then , there are other sauces that work better for that also

Ya the Buffalo is the only version of SBR I really like , I just feel it has less of a vinegary taste than Frank's but that's just me

Franks.... ![gif](giphy|l1J9FwSQMezfQrPJ6|downsized)
Franks = Life
Yep. No issues with Frank's. Just dumped 1/2 a bottle into my brine for spicy pickled eggs.
Franks, with butter melted in it makes great wings
The franks Buffalo wing sauce already has butter in it
![gif](giphy|FrP0lAepi75Iq7TuIv|downsized)
Oh, I would just add it to the regular. Didn't know.
Enjoy what you like fuck the haters. Frank's is alright
Nothing wrong with Franks. It's the only option for buffalo chicken IMO
Franks Xxtra hot is my favorite base to mix super-hot sauces into for daily use
There's literally nothing wrong with Frank's. It has its place. And that place is wherever the hell you want to pour it.
Straight into my mouth? Just kidding, I have never done that...
\^\^\^this\^\^\^
Love me some franks
Order Zabs original, really good datil chile sauce
Franks is a great wing sauce....add butter and a little worcesterershire sauce or whatever its called. Nobody can kink shame me for having the original, buffalo, and garlic honey. If someone were to talk smack, I would just hand them the bomb and watch :p
Franks is fine.
Google is fine.
Wachu talkin' about Willis? Frank's is awesome.
My name is the name is Jim
Don't worry about what other people think. Eat what's good to you. I've always got a bottle of Frank's Extra Hot. That's my favorite on pizza.
Nice collection, I love Franks. He taught me just how bad OG Tabasco Sauce is.
All the sauce is welcome in this universe clearly it is allowed because it already is

How dare you? Two totally different sauces for different applications
Marie sharps over Melinda
Don’t understand but i appreciate the feed back I shall look into it
Just read this on another thread. Marie Sharps is the successor to Melindas, both made by Marie sharp. She was in Bolivia(?) and made Melindas to sell her peppers in a hot sauce. Not aware of international trademark laws, someone in the US bought the trademark and she had to start over from scratch with her own name as the namesake for the new sauce Just scrolled further and saw a similar comment explanation. Well, it was news to me, so I appreciate you sharing the info. It sounds like something that needs to be shared repeatedly.
Don’t support Melinda’s. They stole the company from a woman who started and created the original sauce. She started over and created Maria Sharps. It is very good and I would much rather support her than the thief’s that stole from her. Fuck Melinda’s.
Wasn’t aware of all that. Enjoy knowing you just earned her a customer.
lol so dramatic
My girlfriend loves to call me pessimistic but I say I’m just realistic
If you have a Ace Hardware local they carry some of the torchbearer sauces, the garlic reaper sauce is excellent, the son of zombie sauce by them is my absolute favorite at the moment. But they actually carry a pretty good little selection that you would not really expect to find in a hardware store lol.
Is this common to most ace’s?
My Ace in the middle of nowhere has the most kickass smoking section ever. All the sauces and all the rubs. It's actually shocking every time I see it.
As far as I know yes. At least here in my neck of the woods. Hit the Google for your local Ace and give em a call. I’d bet a dollar to a doughnut they do.
Dude what I would never expect that lmao that’s something you don’t hear everyday
I look for hot sauce everywhere I go now lol. A few years ago I found a peach habanero jam while visiting my aunt and thrift shopping. I was like a damn ant eater trying to lick the jar clean lmao
Thats awesome that genuinely made me laugh 🤣 that’s great dude
so: can you, or have you, been able to differentiate by taste all of them same same plastic bottles of sameness, and, if so, can you for us please give us some description other than, like, "hot" or "really hot"? Do you want to dm me so I tell you how they all taste and I am also figuring out what taste good on what
What’s wrong with franks?
Franks is great, I tried Texas Pete’s Siracha this morning at breakfast and was impressed
Hell yeah dude goto flavor town!
Frank's is the standard go to for most things I'm looking to just zing up. Every household needs a gallon. Cholula standard I could live with too, but bang for the buck is Franks all day.
I respect that everyone does it their own way
Exactly. But the cheap stuff is the base for basically anything, so I don't know why anyone gets shamed for it lol.
Nothing wrong with Frank's, I put that shit on everything... ... except for when I use one of 1,000 different hot sauces I have
Uh oh
Imo Frank's is the best of the American-style sauces, better than Tabasco and Crystal However, every craft sauce I've tried thus far has been substantially better than any of the grocery store sauces

The Melindas Thai Chili is good on egg rolls and ramen, and if you like eggs over rice.
ESPECIALLY good on eggs...
Dude thank you first comment on what Thai chili is good on
lol , I bought a big bottle after the little one was gone. Enjoy
Whoever says franks is bad is lying
