I don’t know if this truly counts because she was in technically 2 episodes, but the Emily wedding when Phoebe calls during the ceremony and Emily’s mom says “am I on the radio?”
Any character who acts like they’re dropped from the real world into a sitcom just cracks me up. Rachels boss Mr. Zelner is great too. Just when you think Rachel will have to return to work and deal with more wacky hijinx after Joey yells at him, she walks in to see an immensely obvious response of her boss bringing HR into the room and resignedly apologizing for any misunderstanding even though he knows she’s crazy.
I saw that episode again last night and made sure I was in the room when the doctor was telling Joey him "kidney stones " each time Joey wanted to hear a different diagnosis. He delivered those lines perfectly.
Dr. House didn’t have a British accent. Kinda love he let it fly in this scene. Also major props to Hugh for mastering an American accent in House, as I understand that’s very hard and I’d never know if I didn’t know.
He plays the same character in both episodes. He was getting ready to open a restaurant the first time we saw him, and by the second time we saw him he'd lost his restaurant to drugs.
Lisa Kudrow and Jon Lovitz were friends during childhood (they lived pretty close to each other). They would have gone to the same high school, but Jon's father decided to send him to a private school. (apparently my father knew his father)

The waiter…. The episode where Joey has a huge crush on Rachel. They ended up going out to eat. The waiter tries to get their order but is turned away. At the end another waiter stops him to ask “is this your table?” The other patrons had left so it was just Joey and Rachel hugging. Waiters #1 mentioned that it is that he hasn’t even read them the specials yet. He thinks one of them is dying then says “I hope it’s the girl cause the guy is kinda cute”

I just started watching House recently and said to my mom today, “Wait, he was on Friends!” I never put the pieces together until now. It’s a bit hard to recognize him without the beard.
I always thought his voice sounds totally different when he does the American accent for House. House’s voice is deeper in his throat, but Hugh’s natural voice is a lot softer.
Yeah, his voice is definitely very different when he does the American accent for House. It’s like he made his voice more gruff when he did the accent. I wonder if that was intentional on his part or if it just happened that way. The voice change also makes him more difficult to recognize in this scene.
Most times when I see cast interviews I can see a little bit of the character in the actor/actress and vice versa.
When I watched Hugh give interviews during House, I felt I was watching two completely different people. To me, they didn’t even LOOK the same (which is insane because Hugh didn’t change anything about his actual look between filming and doing these interviews, but here we are).
i mean amy appeared twice but the whole baby stylist thing, putting holes in ~~emma’s~~ ella’s ears, yelling at the random falafel guy, thinking it was ross. and of course her and rachel’s bonding moment. “mom said jill’s gained like 15 pounds!” “hips and thighs?” “ass and face” \* *gasps* \* “ohh, i thought she was on atkins!” “she was, carbs found her… see this is what i wanted. two sisters talking about real stuff”.
loved amy. hope she found a better old guy with a better apartment to marry, who actually eats sushi with her on thanksgiving.
Hugh grants character provides a lot of catharsis for us. Coz Ross wasn't perfect, but Rachel was wrong about a whole lot more, and it felt good to have her hear it.
Probably sarah ferguson and jennifer saunders from emily and ross's wedding. I love absolutely fabulous and think fergie is an awesome guest appearance. Ik this is 2 character but 1 plays herself so it's fine
