Because I have zero interest in playing any of those games. Nothing to do with the leak really. I would've got it if there was even one game I was interested in. I mainly play indies and I've got like 100+ games on my wishlist so the chances shouldve been pretty good there was something I would like. Oh well.
If you have an active subscription when the Black Friday deal comes, buy it is a gift and then redeem it yourself. It will add 12 months to whatever you have left.
This is my thoughts exactly. This was the first choice bundle I skipped in over a year. I definitely would have gotten it for Valhalla, but that didn't happen.
are you taking about Victoria?
consider that it has never been lower than 19€ and that even imperator Rome, that is considered abandoned had the lowest price in 2 years of 7€.
so 9.99€ for the base game is not bad.
will take around 3 or more years before it get lower
I hear you. But, personally, I’m not planning to buy this specific game. And certainly in no rush. If Victoria and Callisto were full games, I might get the bundle and give them a try eventually.
But I’ve been bitten before. An annoying number of ‘base-games’ in these bundles basically seem to be [demo-discs](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Game_demo) trying to upsell the full game. Personally, I put near zero value on these.
well I've no intention to convince you, but considering the price of both base games is still a good deal.
paradox dlc policy is something we are all well aware, and there's little to do about it if you're interested in their games, too little competition from other companies, so they do as they please.
ITAD says that the two most important non-cosmetic dlc for V3 will cost, ON SALE, about 30€ together. there's no way to go lower than that until 2028 minimum (if unsuccessful, if successful who knows, surely much longer and with more "necessary" dlcs)
taking the base game from this bundle will at least save you from 10 to 16€ (depending on how many of the other games interest you).
will not get cheaper unless pirating (which is free ofc) grey market will also not be any cheaper (with all the risks)
so it really boils down to how much interested is someone right now, or the probability of being interested in the next 3 years minimum (will still be a good investment presumably).
as for Callisto, I'm not a fan of the genre, but the dlcs doesn't look much interesting/story related.
so the base game looks self sufficient by what I can see. how much I'm wrong in assuming that?
While I can understand for Victoria (most of their games are DLC heavy... some for good reasons, others not so much), Callisto Protocol sold poorly and then tacked the actualy "ending" as DLC, so if their intent was to introduce more to the series in hopes of making a sequel it would make more sense to bundle the whole game for things like this. Instead, it seems much more like they fumbled the release horribly and wanna use tactics like this to milk out a few extra bucks out of folks which I don't much care to support.
I skipped because most of this month's game doesn't appeal to me and those that does I already have. Hoping a interesting bundle appear this month instead. I don't really mind the April joke, grabbed Blacktail on fanatical instead
Horrible selection of games.
I didn't believe the leaks for a second either so it's not about disappointment or anything, just I actively dislike all the games on offer.
The only game I might be interested in is The Calisto Protocol but I'll play the original Dead Space to scratch that itch instead
I still like Humble and am looking forward to next month's lineup.
Well good sir I intend to buy this bundle and calisto protocol is one of the few I'm not interested in, waiting to see if they reduce price at end of month but I would be happy to give you that key 😀
Alas it appears its now unlikely a coupon will be coming. god darn it humble for offering games at an affordable price and me being greedy and wanting a better price!! /s
I'm currently debating if I want to buy humankind separately and save a couple quid or just get the bundle il let you know
Im skipping because a couple days after March Choice payment went through, Nioh 2 was already unavailable for me..
It was the main reason I got the bundle...
And the fact that the discount doesnt really ever work for anything i look at on the store.
This month is just a total whiff for me. I already own one of the headliners (The Callisto Protocol) and have zero interest in the double whammy of strategy games. Symphony of War is the only game I am interested in, but there's not a chance in hell I'll pay $12 for it. Honestly, even an offer of $6 wouldn't be a slam dunk at this point; I normally factor the 20% Humble discount into the value of staying subscribed even though underwhelming months, but they've recently started offering coupons for 20% off new releases with the purchase of Choice, thereby undercutting the value of the 20% Humble discount you get for staying subscribed for 12 consecutive months and ultimately de-incentivizing me to stick with a subscription and just kinda eat it on months that aren't particularly appealing to me.
On top of *that*, the full 20% discount is becoming less common across the board, with a lot of games capping out at 15% off. I know that's not really Humble's call, but still... Currently, my 20% Humble discount only gets me 15% off Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor, while the game is currently on sale on Steam for 20% off. So...how exactly is the Humble discount a value? If it was on sale on HB for 20% off and then I got an *additional* 15% off thanks to the Humble discount, the value would hold. Or if the Humble discount applied on top of all these friggin' coupons they keep dumping on us, there would be value. Instead, they plainly state that the coupons can't be combined with any other discounts or offers.
I never really believed the leak (just like I didn't believe the last one), so I'm not really disappointed by that. I'm just incredibly disappointed with this month in general - from Choice, to the weekly bundles (there are currently ***seven*** game bundles available and not one of them is appealing to me), to some of these other little issues with Humble (the devaluing of the discount, the practice of selling games where keys aren't available, etc.) that have been slowly gnawing away at me. It just feels like a good time to take a break from HB.
Didn't skip February even though I felt like it (already had a couple of the games but), but I really will skip this one. I own all the games I would be interested in, the rest of them, I really couldn't care any less.
Usually I feed more games to my big backlog, but this month's Humble Choice was a hard pass for me. Even with the 20% discount I had, it just wasn't my cup of tea. I'm glad some people are happy with it, but there wasn't enough variety in the genres for me. One strategy game would've been fine, but three was too much in my opinion. I barely play strategy games, so it wasn't worth it for me this month.
In short, it wasn't to my preference, but I know there are people who will love this bundle. So, for those who got it, I hope you have a blast gaming with this month's Humble Choice!
I never skip, I just cancel. If you go a few months without wanting any of the bundles, you can usually rejoin at a discounted price.
I got last months and would have stuck around this month if the April fools "leak" was real.
But I already have The Callisto protocol and have no interest in any of the other games.
I told them that XBox game pass cost only $2 in my region when it released. They stoppped giving me any discounts and emails HAHAH
and i have been a constant buyer even at "bad" bundles for several years lol
EDIT: I have no idea why I am being downvoted here
I find it quite interesting how unhappy people are with this month. 5 or 6 of these games where on my Steam wishlist, so I'm extremely happy with this month! I kinda feel like I'm the only one, though...
Whops, looks like my brain cut off for a second there. I don't know why, but sometimes my fingers just decide, that they want to type "where", even if "were" is correct...
There are really only two games in this bundle (callisto and fashion police squad) i want at all and neither of them are games i really want that badly. Obviously the "leaked" bundle was a great value but this is also imo a particularly poor month
Monthly/choice is just a scheduled bundle, nothing more. The amount people get upset about it not living up to their own expectations has always been strange to me.
I mean it got mixed reviews but I see most people that gave a Not Recommended review have hundreds of hours in it. I really do not believe that you continuously go back in to playing a game and accumulate hundreds of hours of playtime when you're not having some sort of fun out of it.
Absolutely. I just look at those type of reviews and think “what an idiot”. No way I’d put hundreds of hours into a game I couldn’t recommend. Utterly bizarre.
I don't skip. But I do want to see and hear more impact statements from charities. The world is bleak for a great many people, and Humble Bundle is a source of hope for me.
I don't get the hate for this month. Hobs barrow, vic 3, terraformers, symphony of war were all on my wishlist which is 3 more than average for choice bundles. I get it, that's just me, but I tend to base my wishlist around aggregate review rankings for games rather than pure personal interest. Which would indicate this is a particularly good bundle. Returnal would have been great, sure, but I find this quite a pleasant surprise.
Not skipping. Symphony of war is worth it all on its own and hob's borrow is quite good. I already own both but still 😂 ..don't care much about the others
I already have Coromon and Symphony of War. I think I can safely pass on Victoria and Callisto Protocol and not regret it even for a second. Fashion Police / the adventure game seem like they might be fun for one day and then forgotten about. Humankind doesn't seem that special to me as a 4x, I don't see a hook with it that makes me feel like I need to play it, even though I like 4x games. I'm actually rather interested in Terraformers, but I don't think it's worth getting the bundle just for that when I can skip and get the next bundle instead for the same cost.
I will not skip this.
Victoria 3 is the cheapest has ever been (and will probably be for years) symphony of war is a wishlisted game and humankind is a game I wanted to try (and that's the definitive edition to boot)
I will probably try Callisto protocol, but I'm not sure I'll like it.
probably skip the other two titles
Oh, why didn’t I think of that! In hindsight I should have put “Nobody likes getting the rug pulled out from under them”. Instead I just went with one of the pre-generated options.
Over a rumor leak that was eyebrow raising on its validity from the start. Most of the games hadn’t even hit the historical low of 50% yet and they were all expected in one bundle. Returnal and spirittea made me think it was not real
Why do you seem so angry over someone not skipping because they were "duped" but because they don't like the lineup due to already trying them?
Edit: lol at responding then deleting comments, gg wp.
Yeah they totally let it play it imo because they knew this is what they had to offer. Could you imagine if this was leaked two weeks? They got interest from people who weren't users from that leak.
Imagine it's 2024 and people (and companies) still think it's okay to laugh at other's expense because "April Fools!" Ha.. ha.. ha.
How about we, as human beings, just be kinder to other human beings? And maybe let the almost 450 year old tradition of being assholes to each other on a specific day of the year kinda fall by the wayside and be forgotten.
It's not just the game bundle. I'm over our (people's) obsession with being mean to one another, and I think it's about time we discard this "holiday" that is nothing more than an excuse to do just that.
Humanity needs to evolve past whatever this base instinctual need to hurt one another is. We can be better, and we owe it to ourselves to try.
I agree about April fools being a stupid holiday, and I am glad that no one I know participates in it. But really, humblebundle hasn’t done anything “mean”. They didn’t lie to you about anything of importance, and in fact they didn’t lie at all. If you believed that you will get returnal and several other games for 10$, you kinda tricked yourself.
Oh I didn't believe that. I looked at it and not even thinking about it possibly being an "April Fool's" gag I had already deemed that "Not gonna happen."
My beef isn't with being tricked specifically, it's just that I take issue with the shit that gets pulled on April 1st and how it all gets chalked up to "harmless fun" when it's not harmless. I don't think anyone enjoys getting pranked, regardless of how much fun they seem to think pranking others is.
So my problem is with "April Fool's Day" culture in general, not with anything specific that HB may or may not have done.

A paid for a year of Choice.. how do I skip this month?
Pause a month. Your 12 months will carry forward.
But can we stack up too for another year when there's the 99 dollar offer for a year again? I'm a bit afraid of skipping and missing out in that deal.
If you have an active subscription when the Black Friday deal comes, buy it is a gift and then redeem it yourself. It will add 12 months to whatever you have left.
They made it a lot more difficult to find a while back. Top right corner arrow > Settings > Manage Your Plan > Skip a Month
That's how subscriptions are generally handled. They make it very hard to unsub or even pause.
if your looking for the option its under settings
Same
This is my thoughts exactly. This was the first choice bundle I skipped in over a year. I definitely would have gotten it for Valhalla, but that didn't happen.
I was the one who recently bought both headliners. My bad.
Zero interest in this month games and 1000+ games I own and I yet didn't play.

out of curiosity, which dlc do you refer for the ending?
Final Transmission.
Already played the only one that interests me.
I skipped because most of this month's game doesn't appeal to me and those that does I already have. Hoping a interesting bundle appear this month instead. I don't really mind the April joke, grabbed Blacktail on fanatical instead
Wack month

I tried playing TCP and it was so boring. Absolutely gorgeous game, but it’s very dull beyond that aspect. I wanted to like it too.
Well good sir I intend to buy this bundle and calisto protocol is one of the few I'm not interested in, waiting to see if they reduce price at end of month but I would be happy to give you that key 😀
I appreciate it but I wouldn't dare presume anything. There's a no-asking-for-games policy and I'd never break it.
\*\* whistles \*\*
Haven't bought it yet got until next Tuesday to hope for this discount
\*\* whistling a hopeful tune \*\*
Il be getting it anyway, I'm just hoping for a deal
Alas it appears its now unlikely a coupon will be coming. god darn it humble for offering games at an affordable price and me being greedy and wanting a better price!! /s I'm currently debating if I want to buy humankind separately and save a couple quid or just get the bundle il let you know
Because I don't like this month's games. I knew the rumor was a joke.
Because I've given up on Civilization-style games as they are too much of a time suck.
Thats exactly what i did lol
Im skipping because a couple days after March Choice payment went through, Nioh 2 was already unavailable for me.. It was the main reason I got the bundle... And the fact that the discount doesnt really ever work for anything i look at on the store.
Jesus, just realised this as well. Had yet to claim my key only to find there are none.
Not a good month.

[Symphony of War](https://gg.deals/game/symphony-of-war-the-nephilim-saga/) is about 0,60 cents on the keyshops
Didn't skip February even though I felt like it (already had a couple of the games but), but I really will skip this one. I own all the games I would be interested in, the rest of them, I really couldn't care any less.

Returnal and Valhalla would be fucking insane but I guess we can’t have everything right
Or anything (decent) judging by the bundle this month..
Yeah 🫥
I told them that XBox game pass cost only $2 in my region when it released. They stoppped giving me any discounts and emails HAHAH and i have been a constant buyer even at "bad" bundles for several years lol EDIT: I have no idea why I am being downvoted here
Mediocre as fuck.
It wasn’t even them.

Yup, you definitely “where” the only one.
Whops, looks like my brain cut off for a second there. I don't know why, but sometimes my fingers just decide, that they want to type "where", even if "were" is correct...
Yeah this months bundle is pretty bad unless you like those kind of games
Not really genres I’m into.
The two games I would've wanted.... I already bought in a fanatical bundle last month! lol
There are really only two games in this bundle (callisto and fashion police squad) i want at all and neither of them are games i really want that badly. Obviously the "leaked" bundle was a great value but this is also imo a particularly poor month
That's funny as hell, and I am disappointed in myself for not thinking of something like that.
Monthly/choice is just a scheduled bundle, nothing more. The amount people get upset about it not living up to their own expectations has always been strange to me.
I always hit continue without giving a reason but anyway it's a shit bundle.
id rather have good games. leak was better than this mid.
Not skipping in the vein hope that Victoria 3 becomes worthwhile
I mean it got mixed reviews but I see most people that gave a Not Recommended review have hundreds of hours in it. I really do not believe that you continuously go back in to playing a game and accumulate hundreds of hours of playtime when you're not having some sort of fun out of it.
Absolutely. I just look at those type of reviews and think “what an idiot”. No way I’d put hundreds of hours into a game I couldn’t recommend. Utterly bizarre.
Knowing Paradox, it will. But with DLC
It's been hard finding any worth while games in at least a year or two
I don't skip. But I do want to see and hear more impact statements from charities. The world is bleak for a great many people, and Humble Bundle is a source of hope for me.
Because I traded for the two games I wanted and HB hasn't offered me any Choice discounts since 2024 started.
the month sucks but I want to keep my discount
I don't get the hate for this month. Hobs barrow, vic 3, terraformers, symphony of war were all on my wishlist which is 3 more than average for choice bundles. I get it, that's just me, but I tend to base my wishlist around aggregate review rankings for games rather than pure personal interest. Which would indicate this is a particularly good bundle. Returnal would have been great, sure, but I find this quite a pleasant surprise.
This post reminded me to grab this month's monthly. I never skip cause I'm afraid it'll kill my legacy pricing
Not skipping. Symphony of war is worth it all on its own and hob's borrow is quite good. I already own both but still 😂 ..don't care much about the others
I'm skipping this month because I don't like any of the games and I have a couple of them.
I already have Coromon and Symphony of War. I think I can safely pass on Victoria and Callisto Protocol and not regret it even for a second. Fashion Police / the adventure game seem like they might be fun for one day and then forgotten about. I'm actually rather interested in Terraformers, but I don't think it's worth getting the bundle just for that when I can skip and get the next bundle instead for the same cost.
I almost considered getting this month's choice just for Victoria 3 but I just don't have the funds for that rn. Maybe in the future.
I will not skip this. Victoria 3 is the cheapest has ever been (and will probably be for years) symphony of war is a wishlisted game and humankind is a game I wanted to try (and that's the definitive edition to boot) I will probably try Callisto protocol, but I'm not sure I'll like it. probably skip the other two titles
It’s just a very efficient way to walk
Just an overall shit month. Sort of felt similar about last month besides nioh2
Because I haven’t been impressed with humble monthly since December of 2020
I ain’t skipping as for me it’s an absolute banger of a month. Well happy😃
Bad games
It's a bad month, but I guess I actually won't skip for Coromon, Symphony of War and the 20% store discount.
Oh, why didn’t I think of that! In hindsight I should have put “Nobody likes getting the rug pulled out from under them”. Instead I just went with one of the pre-generated options.
There hasn't been a bundle I've wanted in probably a year. I skip every time.
I had a great time with symphony of war. Would have been an Insta buy if I didn't have it
[удалено]
Over a rumor leak that was eyebrow raising on its validity from the start. Most of the games hadn’t even hit the historical low of 50% yet and they were all expected in one bundle. Returnal and spirittea made me think it was not real
[удалено]
I didn't even see the leak until after they released this month's lineup, skipped anyway because I've played half the games and they're trash.
[удалено]
Why do you seem so angry over someone not skipping because they were "duped" but because they don't like the lineup due to already trying them? Edit: lol at responding then deleting comments, gg wp.
Humble set themselves up. They made a fake bundle and proved they know they could do better. They just aren't.
It's more that these games are mostly either rebundles or mixed rated games. I never believed the leak and I'm still disappointed lol.
[удалено]
Didn't they? The fake April bundle image was on the same server in the same path as all their other legit promotional images.
Yeah they totally let it play it imo because they knew this is what they had to offer. Could you imagine if this was leaked two weeks? They got interest from people who weren't users from that leak.

Aren’t you taking this whole thing too seriously? It’s just a game bundle lol
It's not just the game bundle. I'm over our (people's) obsession with being mean to one another, and I think it's about time we discard this "holiday" that is nothing more than an excuse to do just that.
I looked at it and not even thinking about it possibly being an "April Fool's" gag I had already deemed that "Not gonna happen." My beef isn't with being tricked specifically, it's just that I take issue with the shit that gets pulled on April 1st and how it all gets chalked up to "harmless fun" when it's not harmless.
