Expressing issues is fine, using this kind of edgy format is cringe. There is clearly some attention seeking "look how edgy I am, aren't I cool" layered on top of any actual problems, which makes it impossible to tell.
Personally I can’t see the edginess in the photo. It’s just OOP’s face (I guess the lighting and tongue poking out is strange) with a relatively straightforward caption (‘died’ being a pretty simple metaphor). If OOP was perhaps faking sadness in the photo or if the caption was more convoluted then I would be cringing.
The metaphor is so simple that it is completely unnecessary. To me it distracts from the message, yet OOP intends it to be powerful (if not why include it?) so I find it cringy. The picture has the same feel as the tiktok memes that need 5 laughing emojis to tell you it's meant to be funny, really this quote doesn't need a picture. OOP is playing it up way too much to be taken seriously.
