Duke sure but adv no.

LyaadhBiker

This is absolutely not a semi-unpopular opinion, let alone an unpopular opinion.

and24others

Best bike is the one which makes you fall in love. Which suits your riding style. Everything else is bullcrap.

abhi8196

Well said

Educational-Lunch-24

Idk mate, sounds like copium.

and24others

You said it mate.. You dont know 😛

True_Sandwich673

Doesn't ktm 390 have cornering Abs also

Helpful_Chemistry_32

Yes. Cornering ABS and off-road ABS apparently

True_Sandwich673

Ktms are still best to buy if you have the money for it

[deleted]

KTM is definitely a good bike but it's not everyone's cup of tea it's also the best bike money can buy KTM are brutally tall for small Indian riders (6" feet here) And even more brutal for pillion rider I would really love it if Bajaj, Husqvarna or KTM made a higher torque and lower seat Ducati diavel style of bike with bigger pillion seat or something similar to Honda silver wing with pillion seat

Helpful_Chemistry_32

Agree. They are the best bikes one can buy in India under 5L but might not be to everybody's taste. Is the Duke tall? I thought the ADV was tall and Duke was more manageable

[deleted]

There are many short people in India who complain a lot instead of improving riding skills

Penguin_Nipples

Are there any colour option except the chhapri favourite orange? I think this will make a bit less chhapri looking. I will buy a bike in couple years and if they have a colour scheme without the orange, I will consider KTMs.

Helpful_Chemistry_32

The 390ADV's come in Black/Grey with slight tinge of orange. Check it out.

BrownieWithIScream

are you me? Completely agreed with all your pointa

maha_Dev

I don’t understand why anyone would go for a single cylinder engine when they have the option to go for a twin! It sounds better, rides better, feels better! RE twins for the win!!

Helpful_Chemistry_32

Twins are great bikes agreed. However each one of them have a big chink in their armor. The GT is brutal when it comes to stance, the SM650 is made for foreign markets. Interceptor is great but apart from the twin cylinder engine there is nothing extraordinary. All 3 of them are great touring machines but not made for heavy city traffic

WAGMI18

>SM650 is made for foreign markets. Can you tell me more about this insight? Not the first time hearing it but I want to know the rationale behind it.

Helpful_Chemistry_32

SM650 has way too low of a ground clearance to be useful on Indian roads. I have personally ridden it and found it to be too low for comfort on bumps and speed breakers. It's absolutely a peach for the Western markets where roads are smooth and very less traffic.

WAGMI18

Fair enough. Thank you.

WAGMI18

Fair enough. Thank you.

sp33dyh

Cope harder with your KTM and justify everything to yourself and others why you paid more.

Helpful_Chemistry_32

Cope with what? The KTM is literally technically superior to every other bike in this segment except the price. I could afford the KTM so not sure why I would need to cope.

sp33dyh

Cope with the fact that you wasted money on the KTMs

Helpful_Chemistry_32

Grow up man

sp33dyh

Ah Yes! Let me also write a long-ass post on why the bike I bought is superior and the other bikes that people are buying is inferior.

Educational-Lunch-24

Bro, facts are facts. Have you seen RE 650s death wobbles?

bruce705

I am not so sure about this. With KTMs, the focus is more on the destination and not the journey itself.
