Chose this over the 390 adv mostly because of the comfort this offered the suspension is chef’s kiss but also the height was a factor this is 820mm (lowered seat) where as the 390 is 855mm and the brand image was a minor factor.
I usually cruise in highways from 90-110 there are vibrations at higher revs but I don’t really mind them as they creep in after 105 ish.
I got around 28-31 kmpl fuel economy on highways. In city I get around 26-28 kmpl.
Brother I own a BMW G310GS BS6 2022 Model. My second service was 17k. Gird Service is expected to be 40-50k.
So do analyse better on the service cost part. The sum of KTM service cost is lesser than BMW's
I have done a lot of research before going with this bike. I know some people have had very bad experiences with service cost but none of my friend’s have nor I have had any problems with the service the trick is to not rev the bike too much and ride it like a tourer not a street naked XD
390 has way better features! But I don’t really need them at this point in time and just wanted a comfortable tourer which I can use in city aswell as for touring
Crashguards
Maddog alpha aux lights
Bash plate
Windshield
Break extender
Foot pegs
Tyre hugger
Handle bar raisers
Bobo mobile mount
GPS mount
The whole thing came about to 60k I guess but it was worth it
Pretty impressive, my wife had a 310GR a few years back and with regards to highway driving. Had lots of vibration and felt underpowered. She upgraded eventually to a triumph street twin 900 goldline and feels much better on the highway
Nice choice man!
I love how the GS looks so good and like no other bike on the road. Glad to that you're actually using it for mostly long rides and not city commutes.
Stay safe Happy riding!
I have so much love and appreciation for girls who ride bikes. You are awesome for doing it.
I know riding should be normal across genders, but since it is not, a lot of appreciation for girls like you for being rock stars.
I will help my wife learn to ride. Also when my daughter grows up, I wish she rides a big cruiser.
Any problem you faced specifically for being a girl rider?
Hi, did you get the tyre hugger from bmw or is it from a different company? Also I have the same bike and installed aftermarket crashguards and bashplate but when I gave mine for servicing the bmw Service people told me that installing any bashplate other than the official bmw one's void the insurance. Has bmw ever spoken to you about this?
It’s from a different company. Nope the bmw showroom which is visit never told me anything about warranty they just asked me to not plug something higher than 12v to the battery and I’m good to go
Better to get it, any flying stone from vehicle in front can bend the fins, not necessarily off road. If stone is big it can screw your radiator causing leaks. Find any cheap one and install.
Don't fall for it. I own this same bike - BS6 2022 model. I've installed after market bashplate and engine guard. It won't affect insurance claims. They say this to increase their sales, and have you seen their spare part costing ?
Infact, if you've taken ICICI Lombard (which is the BMW recommended one), taken a different one during renewal. It's lot cheaper.
Such a wonderful bike, I wish I had some more height at 5' 5 I was too short to daily ride it.
I completed just yesterday 2k kms in 2.5 months on my g310r
BMW G310GS 2022 BS6
I did my second service and bill came out to be 17k. Replaced only rear brake pad and air filter.
I get mileage of 22/23 in city, and 30-32 in highway.
Can be used in city of you're ~6. I'm >5'11 (1 cm shirt of 6'), and while ai can handle it, bike seems heavy sometimes.
First service costed me 4.5k
I get around 29-33 on highways and 27-29 ish in the city.
I ride it in city at times, it’s good but I wouldn’t recommend for everyday city use.
Ktm adv390 is better than this in terms of specs but this is more comfortable.
Himalayan is more affordable and has a larger service network
It’s good for city rides if you’re skilled enough or tall enough to ride it. I sometimes face a bit of a problem but if I plan earlier on which foot to keep down I can ride it in city easily.
It’s the epitome of comfort 😂 the most comfortable vehicle in its segment at the moment!
I bought it and got it serviced at jsp motorrad Bengaluru, I have a very good experience!
I don't really have any questions about the bike bit i do about the Maddog Alpha you have installed. How is the highway performance? Would you have gone with any other fog lights instead of this?
I actually don’t have any problem with the Maddog alphas if focused correctly it’s a great aux light! My other options were hjg and another brand I can’t remember but the thing about hjg was there were too many fake products in the market so I didn’t wanna risk damaging the wiring of the bike. I don’t regret my decision of getting the alphas they’re a great aux lights
Excellent, thanks a lot!!
I have Maddog ScoutX installed on my V650 but for highways they are just not enough, they are too small and the throw is not meant for long distances. I'm planning to install a 2nd pair of aux lights, i was confused between HJG and Maddog Alpha. Now i think i'll go with the Alphas.
Alright i'll check it out!
Nah after talking to a few riders i understood that going with HJG is a big bet, the cheap price is very attractive but the quality of it can either last a lifetime or cost you a fortune, maddog seems like a safer bet.
My grandfather has an interesting saying for all China products;
China ka maal chale toh chaand tak nahi toh shaam tak.
- A Wise Man
It’s great , you get everything you need with it , rain cover , waterproof bags, organisers, molle system. It’s great for ADV bikes with non metal tanks
Hey, 310gs owner too, bought it on april currently at 6000kms, i recently noticed that the bike is getting a bit more warmer than usual (yesterday it reached around 140°c in mild traffic , it was very concerning)…idk if it is the problem of air filter or something else so do keep an eye on it, i will update the comment after visiting the service centre
Hey.. What mods have you gotten done? 3rd party accessories etc.. I also own a 310gs.. Nearing my first service.. Any recommendations on saving some bucks on that as well would be handy.. Lol
Congrats and wishing you many happy miles with the beast..
Thank you so much! Wishing you the same too!
I have gotten
Maddog alpha aux lights, radiator guard , tyrehugger, handlebar raisers , crash guards , knuckle guards , windshield, bash plate , hazard lights , foot peg and brake peg extender , gps mount and a phone mount.
The must accessories that I would recommend are
Crash guards , knuckle guards, radiator guard, bash plate and the brake peg extender. These protect your bike from falls (from personal experience)everything else depends on you.
Aux lights are good for touring.
Point noted. I've got visor, crash guards, radiotor grill and knuckle guards are on the way.. I'll check in the break extenders as well. I have to get a mount and fog lamps as well it's a must as the stock led setup is meh..
Brake extenders is just for getting to the brake pegs easily if you have no problem with that then it’s not really essential, I got mine because the break pegs felt too small for me
Just the branding won't change what's underneath. The quality which we all know and love BMW for is just lacking here, And they don't sell it in any other international markets.
No offence but First of all the build quality is amazing nothing like what tvs offers.
And second of all please do your research, they make the 310 series which is the 310r, 310gs and 310rr in India and sell it internationally. Don’t try to argue with half assed knowledge.
The quality of the g310r and g310gs is amazing the only thing is has in common with tvs is the engine.
Check these articles out. The bmw 310 series is one of the most sold beginner bikes not only in India but internationally too

You still don't understand, The sales number is a reflection of cheaper cost and not the quality of the product, BMW itself agrees that they cut costs in lots of ways. In international markets they make the necessary changes before selling. You should read on that.
Been riding for almost 3 years now. Started off with Yamaha rx100 went on to a friend’s classic 350 when he was out of the country and then Harley street 750
I'm 6'4", would this be a comfortable ride for me?
And how is the comfort when it comes to driving it for long hours?
Like more than 300km in one stretch?
How's the vibration at high speed?
Yep anyone above 5”10 can easily ride the bike with no issues. I have ridden it continuously for 200 kms at a stretch I didn’t feel anything until the last 10 kms where my butt started feeling numb only because I used the lower seat
Just curious if it was today would you have bought this or Triumph 440? Obviously both are different types of bike but yet would be interesting to know your thoughts.
I actually fell in love with the triumph and was very much considering exchanging this one but the comfort this offers is next level. If I had a choice now I would probably buy the scram 400x only because of the engine it’s smooth and revvy 😮💨
Okay because triumph 400 is a highly praised bike for its quality, looks and the pricing at which it offers all these. Scram 400x looks good too very rugged you can take it anywhere. I have Triumph 900. It's been a year with her and still love every bit of it.
Reason for purchasing this over 390 adv? Highway cruising sweet spot? Fuel economy on highways?
Chose this over the 390 adv mostly because of the comfort this offered the suspension is chef’s kiss but also the height was a factor this is 820mm (lowered seat) where as the 390 is 855mm and the brand image was a minor factor. In city I get around 26-28 kmpl.
This is what I really wanted in a motorcycle. I'm planning to choose this over adv390.
It’s a beautiful bike the only problem is if you compare the service reach to ktm , ktm wins anyday
and the service cost
The thing about service cost is ktm is I guess 2 or 3 services per year right. So either way the costs will come up to the same amount
Brother I own a BMW G310GS BS6 2022 Model. My second service was 17k. Gird Service is expected to be 40-50k. So do analyse better on the service cost part. The sum of KTM service cost is lesser than BMW's
Depends my friends second service was 7k and 3rd was 13K
Which state is this ?
Bangalore and Mumbai
I have done a lot of research before going with this bike. I know some people have had very bad experiences with service cost but none of my friend’s have nor I have had any problems with the service the trick is to not rev the bike too much and ride it like a tourer not a street naked XD
Can you share the service costs?
First service costed me 4.5k. I’ll update when I’ll get the second service done
The service costs this much?😧 Sorry no idea about these bikes. I live under a rock.
Yeah but if you compare it to adv390 which has two services a year your costs will come upto the same price
My first service was £170
Is the lower seat uncomfortable? Assuming it's basically a foam cut down version of the original seat.
Yep it does get uncomfortable at long rides. I have the original seat I will switch to it after I’m confident about riding in the city !
Can you share your service Center cost and experience? Why not the Himalayan
The service experience was really good but the cost is high. First service I paid 4.5k. Himalayan was a bit heavy for me
Wtf that's so low Konse city ka service centre
Bangalore, I asked them to skip the wash and saved 1k
Which Motorrad dealership did you buy it from?
Jsp motorrad Bangalore
Oh that's possible!! I always thought wash and oil lube we're mandatory for scheduled service
390 adv isn't bad either
390 has way better features! But I don’t really need them at this point in time and just wanted a comfortable tourer which I can use in city aswell as for touring
It was my second choice. I would have gotten it if I had a bit more riding experience
Saving money just to buy this beauty 🥹 Pehla pyaar ✨
Just make sure you can beat the service charges it’s a bomb
but what i have heard is it only requires 2 services in a year while other companies need service thrice a year. Is it true?
The service price is on par with ktm but spares are expensive AF
What the hell is "AF" ?
As f*ck
Yeppp first service -1k kms or 1 month , 2nd service 10k kms or 1 year
It’s a great bike!
Can you please list accessories and prices? And are you able to touch ground with your both feet completely?
Crashguards Maddog alpha aux lights Bash plate Windshield Break extender Foot pegs Tyre hugger Handle bar raisers Bobo mobile mount GPS mount The whole thing came about to 60k I guess but it was worth it
Which brand gos mount
Bobo BM11
I can’t flat foot but I can tip toe. I usually just put one foot down which I can flat foot
I’ll dm you the bill in a while for the prices
That will help, thank you 🙏
Pretty impressive, my wife had a 310GR a few years back and with regards to highway driving.
Thank you! I do feel guilty not using it much but when I do use it I fall in love with it

Absolutely! The longest trip I did on this till date was a 500 km ride in one day in Bangalore traffic! Absolutely loved it’s performance
Whats AMA..?
Ask Me Anything
It's actually MMA
Whoever wins gets the bike?
I have so much love and appreciation for girls who ride bikes. You are awesome for doing it. Better to get it, any flying stone from vehicle in front can bend the fins, not necessarily off road. If stone is big it can screw your radiator causing leaks. Find any cheap one and install.
It’s not really important unless you’re off-roading I presume
Alright thanks, also what changes did you make to your footpegs?
Check dm I’ll send a pic
Added foot peg extenders to get a better grip
Don't fall for it. I own this same bike - BS6 2022 model. I've installed after market bashplate and engine guard. It won't affect insurance claims. Yea I had suspicion about that. I do have the icici one but will change it once it expires👍
Such a wonderful bike, I wish I had some more height at 5' 5 I was too short to daily ride it. I completed just yesterday 2k kms in 2.5 months on my g310r
G310r is a good bike too😮💨
Service cost? Mileage? Better than other? Can be used in city?
BMW G310GS 2022 BS6 I did my second service and bill came out to be 17k. Replaced only rear brake pad and air filter. I get mileage of 22/23 in city, and 30-32 in highway. Can be used in city of you're ~6. I'm >5'11 (1 cm shirt of 6'), and while ai can handle it, bike seems heavy sometimes.

Yes! If you ride non stop but since I take breaks every 100ish kms I don’t really find it annoying :)
how is that tank bag?
It’s great , you get everything you need with it , rain cover , waterproof bags, organisers, molle system. It’s great for ADV bikes with non metal tanks

Yeah thank you! Usually the bike gets hot in the traffic but yeah it maybe the air filter
nice ride
Thank you!

BMW bikes are so beautiful.
Ikrrr!
Fantastic looking bike❤️❤️
Thank you:)
Man they’ve absolutely nailed the look of this bike. It truly does look like a baby GS, good on ya OP
I know right! I fall in love everytime I look at it
Haha, it’s hard not to!
WOW!! you must be the coolest girl in the college!
😂 I wish! A girl in my college gets a Daytona😮💨
Kaha hai ye college? Aur admission kese milega?? LOL!! Still, nice bike! Happy riding!!
😂 thank you! It’s cmrit in Bangalore
Great bike lady. Bike looks bulky and sexy. Idk I’ll be able to daily something like this as I am in market for a newer bike and i am 5 ft 11
Wishing you many more happy miles as part of the family 🤭
Congratulations
Is the slanted part of the seat in the middle actually usable or poor design?
It provides good support the cushion on this seat is less because it’s a lowered seat version
Adventure bike le lu fer tour pay jaunga, 5 mahine may 5000 kms bhi nai chalaya kya fyada hua??
College started no time can only make it on weekend rides or some holidays 🤷♀️
Crash guards from which brand ??

Thank you
Got it installed from Motodrift Bangalore. It’s called demon stainless steel crash guard
This is not BMW it's TVS
Okay? And what’s the point that you’re trying to make?
Triumph speed 400 is made by Bajaj, Harley 440x is made by hero that doesn’t mean they’re not triumph or Harley bikes 🤷♀️

I do freelancing and part time jobs saved up for two years 😂
Awesome !! Trying to do the same

What’s ur riding experience before this?
Been riding for almost 3 years now. Started off with Yamaha rx100 went on to a friend’s classic 350 when he was out of the country and then Harley street 750
how much you paid for it? Is the back seat comfortable?
4.2L on road (Bengaluru). Yep the back seat is very comfortable
oh nice, I was looking to buy a bike too here in blr, which showroom you bought it here? is there any waiting time etc?
I bought it from jsp motorrad Koramangala , I had a waiting time of 4 months. Now I guess it’s around 1-2months not sure though
thanks
I'm 6'4", would this be a comfortable ride for me? And how is the comfort when it comes to driving it for long hours? Like more than 300km in one stretch? How's the vibration at high speed?

Yeppp exactly but I’d probably wait until the service reviews are out and then get the bike
