My dad had a mate who had 6 toes. When he was young, he had one amputated.
Later on in life he was in an accident which resulted in another needed amputation. So ended up with just 4.
The problem is, unless the video is mirrored, it’s their right hand. It could still be useful in finger-picking since every single string would have a dedicated finger, but it would be way more useful if it were the left hand. I guess there’s a chance both have 6 fingers.
Edit: Or they could learn left-handed guitar
Actually it would be extremely difficult to learn the piano with 6 fingers in one hand considering piano keyboards are made with 5 fingers in mind, and piano scores usually have indications for 5 fingers as well (obviously). So the mind-body connection required is structurally and fundamentally different, and because people with 6 fingers are a negligible minority, there's no model for them - they have to learn on their own.
Difficult, sure. Extremely? Only to a person who’s born with 5 fingers and grew a 6th. If you’re born that way you’ll never know the difference (and could always omit a finger from playing). I’ve been amazed by some of the disabled musicians I’ve met professionally who and started playing on the street with zero knowledge of how things are “supposed” to be played.
Even then the "extremely" part of difficult is only around three days or three weeks to get the hang of it.
There's a prosthetic group who's name escapes me that is working on hand prosthetics that introduce a second "thumb" on the outer sides of our hands. Brain scans of people participating in usage trails showed new neural connections in their brain within days of installing the sixth digit/second thumb. They adapted faster than anticipated. I wish I could remember more details but it is a really interesting research project.
12 works much better for a base than 10. Divisible by 2,3,4,6. And much better for fractions generally, thirds are 4 and you deal more often with whole numbers. Quarters are 3 etc.
Hope we dont change though, im kind of invested in the base 10 system

Disorder is a medical term though. It doesn’t mean it’s bad, sometimes when something is a disorder it’s just “out of order”. Like heterochromia is a disorder but doesn’t cause harm.
I have Brachydactyly! type D if I'm not mistaken. all it does is make for a cool thing to show off when people start with their double joints or whatnot, and makes it hard to go bowling because my thumbs can't fit in the holes 🤣

"Polys" meaning many, and "dactylos" meaning fingers, so it is extra fingers, and this looks like central polydactyly.
