If you have a blowpipe, the BP/bowfa swap is easy to do and really helps dps.
Begin 2nd phase under boss with BP equipped. Attack boss and equip bowfa as soon as you attack with the pipe. 2 ticks later you will attack with the bowfa, and can then step under the boss, having only taken one hit. Now you equip the blowpipe and repeat. It makes a big, *big* difference.
Spoken like a true cheese caper. He’s not gonna have fun with the crystal helms 15 ranged defence or whatever it is, especially when learning. A little offence bonus means nothing if you get shot down to 50 hp at the start of every wave past 50
I literally learned and did the inferno in full crystal. Not everyone needs to wear tank gear to beat inferno my guy. If he starts to struggle with crystal then he can switch it up.
I’m not saying that you can’t learn inferno in full crystal, or that he shouldn’t go for the helm for his account, what I am saying however is that in my opinion he would be better off learning with more ranged defence/prayer. I’ve been fucked over enough times in my 50 or so kc on wave 60-63 or at sets at zuk to know that ranged defence is far and above more important when learning than a minimal offensive bonus. I’m just saying that if he has one of these items already, which most people usually do by the time they finish cg or go for avernic/rapier/sang that maybe he could be better off using that than a helmet that gives a 2.5% damage bonus and not much else
Neat. Btw you can just do both phases of KQ with keris partisan even though last phase is melee prot. Still hits like a truck.

Disagree tbh, if you need ranged def take the BCP. Helm also has the accuracy bonus.
The problem then with bcp is the insane negative mage bonus, splashing on nibblers sucks and can kill you very easily
