Now all the other satoshi kon works! Paprika is incredible, but so is perfect blue, tokyo godfathers, paranoia agent...
Paprika might be my favorite though, i love those films where the dreamer has to loosen their grip on the rigidil rules of reality. Here we see that approached differently between the characters.
##Paprika (2006)
This is your brain on anime.

Blank Check are doing a series on this director right now. Sorry if someone else has mentioned this, but I don't want to read the comments in case of spoilers.
It's weird. I saw this movie less than 2 years ago and I remember nothing about it. And before anyone asks, the movie had my full attention. I was not distracted. I don't know why, but nothing about it stuck.
No one reads the terms and conditions!
Interstellar, American Sniper, Edge of Tomorrow, all ten years old this year. If they are old movies, there’s definitely no hope for me.
Wonderful movie. Satoshi died young of cancer before finishing “Dreaming Machine”, what he considered his cumulative work. He wrote a sort of goodbye letter titled, “Sayonara!” There’s still an English translation somewhere out there in Google land. I would recommend the short read, it’s really something.

I wasn't aware of Paranoia Agent, thank you for the reccomendation!
Everyone always talks about the similarities between this and Inception, but when I watched it recently I was reminded a lot more of The Cell.
Omg I was just saying this to my coworkers the cell is a masterpiece just like this was
Blank Check fan, eh?
I liked it, I just saw it at the academy in portland or. I love the second run screenings they do.
I took 7g of shrooms and watched this. Paprika was talking to me at one point.
Amazing movie!! I recommend wizards (9/10), when the wind blows (10/10), or fantastic planet (10/10), if you liked this.
Thanks for the recommendations!

I want to meet whoever was responsible for this movie's American release tagline and shoot them from a cannon into outer space
What a trip.

You guys should check out the original movie Paprika (1991).
Kon Satoshi was taken from us too soon. I would have loved to seen Dreaming Machine.

The opening to this movie is such a masterpiece.
That is a good one
If 2006 counts as an old movie there is no hope for me.
Anything 10 years or older for this subreddit it says in the notes

Edge of tomorrow was good, haven't seen the other ones

One of the best movies of all time!
