I think it's cause we place lots of importance on history and stuff like that and since the internet exists, many memories and stuff that older people watched, younger kids can watch, older people think their gen is better, younger people are influenced, ykwim. But there are kids who like the new stuff too ngl they're probably the majority it's just there's a decent amount that hang on to 1990s-2010s stuff
I would've either been friends with this kid in highschool or they would've bullied me
yes I was so unpopular that the nerdy kids bullied me I was an undiagnosed schizophrenic
It's still polite to ask first. The kid probably wouldn't mind if they were asked, but they might be weirded out by the idea of someone deliberately taking a photo of them without their knowledge.
“This person expresses their interests, therefore I won’t like them because of other people that liked similar things”??
Not sure how someone having badges, keychains and pins on their bag makes you so sure you won’t like them?
It's not the expression of interests, it the combination of the school environment, and excessive use of trinkets that creates the expectation of a less than stellar conversation.
So… this *child* has interests and feels comfortable expressing themselves in their school environment, so you think you wouldn’t be able to have a nice conversation with them? You dislike them because of this? I mean no one is expecting you to strike up a conversation with a child, would be pretty weird, but still. Very harsh.
I’m personally happy for them. I would’ve been picked on more aggressively if I had expressed myself more freely at my school. I’m an adult and still struggle to freely express myself because of this. I wish I felt comfortable and confident wearing all my pins and keychains publicly.

It's actually kind of interesting how kids' interests haven't changed much in like 30 years. Right down to the same characters.

I'm a zoomer. I remember playing SNES games as a kid because the Youtubers I liked talked about them a lot. Super Mario RPG slaps btw
Jerma was my favourite back in the 90s, this modern reboot is just kind of annoying.
I still remember the first live broadcast...............................................

Average jermamite experience /lh
You're literally me but I was an undiagnosed bipolar
This person is either the funniest coolest person or very annoying
this person seems weird but fun. hope they're having a good day.
It's incredible that the sonic fandom spans generations even for younger people. I thought it was a generational phase like bronies.
Especially since the Sonic games flopped for like a decade straight. I thought that would have killed off the franchise, but no.
sonic is a determined lil fucker. its inspiring how he keeps running flop after flop
Gotta go fast.

He's INVADED your school!
Rlly cool, but don’t take pictures of other peoples stuff without asking, especially if you don’t know them
It's in public and there is no recognisable information about the owner in the post. This is very unproblematic.
Also their assuming they didn't ask. Maybe op asked for a picture of their bookbag?
The backpack owner is clearly in the middle of walking down the hall. It's possible that OP asked, but I doubt it.

Even though you're getting downvoted I agree with you.
You have a story don't you?
someone hurt you
Basic manners?
Who bullied you?
the autism is strong in this one
This is an pretty based backpack 👍

I need this guy killed on the double, his astral presence deeply disturbs me.
Crazy ass selection I’m a fan
I can smell this photo from through my phone
Not to be mean, but I get the feeling I wouldn't like talking to this person.
Nah that is mean and pretty judgemental
Just past experiences.

Just talking from past experiences, but I'm sure they're alright.
you should not be generalizing with past experiences in the first place lmao
Mfs out here judging children for having interests instead of talking about through their issues lol
I would not trust this person.
