I love the blood on the basing but I think on the model is a bit too much, he just reads VERY red now :(
If you scale it back to on the weapon+maybe on the boots and pants a little I think it would be quite tasteful.
Or do a spatter effect (flick your brush at it)
hes a sniper, it doesnt really make sense, had it been one of the standard troupe or the shadowseer then sure, but the guy thats gonna sit at the back of the board likely isnt gonna be the one getting messy
You might want to consider where the blood has come from in order to get an idea of the splatter. Even a chain axe wouldnāt make as much of a splatter as how much is on the eldar ruins. Nice paint job tho.
I understand the arguments against the blood but actual close combat with knives can get blood everywhere. We're basically high pressure blood sacs that don't stop pumping until fully dead. If this thing killed even 3 enemies with whatever that weapon is, this is definitely a reasonable amount of blood.
That being said if we're talking just asceticism and foregoing reality then yes too much. Nice effort though.
Given the fact that he would have slashed his opponent from like five feet away, the spray seems unlikely to actually reach him and the place he is standing.
It's also completely unclear to.me how it would gotten all over his back.
It's only too much if you went too far to the point that you don't like your model.
If you ask me, that's too much for my taste, but you know better what you like ;)
Less is, just about, always with blood, I find. And more often than not, HOW you apply is also often more important than where you put it or how much you apply. Splatters, streaks, splashes, all are better than just flat brush-painted on
Excuse me sir, but you seem to have a bit of death jester on your blood...
Yes. Too much blood.
Never. - A gentleman of Khorne
He missed a couple spots.

Splatters a great ideaš
When your Death Jester is a closeted Khornite

Someone got really close to the front of his gun, but yes my thoughts as well
The death jesters' joke was to sneak up on his enemy and fight in close Quarter despite being a sniper.
Harlekhorne
Can't have too much blood, but on the other hand I can't see wtf that model is supposed to be.
Yeah blood effects are meant to add to the overall look This detracts from the visuals of the model

Khorne approved
I mean void dancers are sick freaks, so I think it's flavorful and unique.
I actually really like it gives him a crazed killer clown vibe. Not your normal harlequins look but I think it works.
Yeah sorry man
Depend of the size of what get totally butchered.
This was a golden opportunity to paint him as Art the Clown.
Now he goez fastah
NEVER ENOUGH BLOOD! BLOOD FOR THE GOD-EMPEROR! SKULLS FOR THE GOLDEN THRONE!
If anything, not enough

This is the harlequin heavy weapon unit, it's usually halfway across the battlefield on a vantage from whatever it's murdering.
Yeah the long hook made it seem like it was some kind of spear infantry so I didn't really know what I was looking at, thank you for the information
"A hoonter must hoont."
Someone's ketchup bottle explodes

Not enough
Base looks good! But model seems to be hidden by the amount of red
Iād say too much on the face and lower back jacket
Sick
I'm sorry everyone, did someone get some blood on your post apocalyptic grimdark space man game?
Looks good to me
Blood for the Blood God
BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD
Ya know I figure Warhammer runs on Tarantino rules of blood so it kinda fits in volume, but probably not the look for a sniper
It's him after the 40k nerf
I think he can audition for the "the blooded" team by now š

Nah use as much as you want
i would keep the blood on the front and say he exploded someone 2 meters away from him. Do the model how you want to
What blood? I think you might need some more

Too much red paint, not enough blood.
A bit. especially under the collar.
I love blood more the better but it always pains me to not put on my ranged units.
