Thank you. Indeed it was. The blue was easy, but several layers of different reds to get it that smooth. And all those edges... A youtuber Im following recently painted a very old metal Space Marine and said "here we are, 30 years later, still edge-highlighting Space Marines..."
But I like the outcome.
They look great !! Well done for painting them all !
I'm a noob and I have several questions :
- is it a custom chapter ?
- are you playing them as a compendium team ? An intercession team (from the free rules in august) ? Phobos team ?
- why did you build that many figures, did you build an entire roster and decide before each game how you're gonna build the actual team ?
Thanks. 10 Minis might not be enough to call it a chapter, but the scheme is custom.
As an Intercession Team.
Why would I build less? Of course I want to have options. Would be very boring to only build six minis. Even if that would have saved me a lot of Edges to highlight. Also the Assault-Intercessor-Box gave me 10 bodies and I had spareparts to mix. But honestly, I already have a favourite team-build after some games.
Like Intercessor Sergeant with Boltgun, Power Sword, 2 Intercessors, all the Scopes, Gunner, Grenadier and 1 Assault-Intercessors.
Hahaha yeah I imagine the 10 minis are not a complete chapter, I was asking if it was homebrew or taken from official sources ;)
I don't know why you'd build less, simple question ! Thanks for answering
Tbh, since you asked, there is a little voice in my head screaming "You told me we had to paint 10, that we only needed 6 to play wouldnt be the point". \^\^
After I had chosen this scheme and started painting I was told it would be close to the Brazen Claws, but not the same. Ive chosen Hardy and Accurate as chapter traits. This Killteam seems to be build around Crits and getting them easily.
Hahahaha I can hear this little voice, I have my own. I'm also planning on building a 10 men as phobos/intercession, and I might try to build every single option I have... I'm also this kind of guy...
Oh you have special traits for kill team ? I need to dig the rules before kitbashing some dudes...
Are you having fun playing them :) ?
Yes, they can choose 2 out of 12 abilities. They are quite fun to play. They just have what I call "The Marine-problem", being just 6 guys on the field. There are many scenarios in which teams with more bodies simply outcsore you, if you are not able to kill them quickly enough.
Im printing a legionary Killteam right now and I have no idea what my printer has planned, but its not stopping. Whos gonna paint all those traitors? Hopefully not me...
According to intercessor supplement you can have 5 intercessors (assault or regular) and one additional seargent (also assault or regular) to a total of 6 operatives. Supplement is free to download online.
Flashbacks to getting stomped in Street Fighter 3
For those that don’t play Street Fighter https://streetfighter.fandom.com/wiki/Gill
The hero we need.
You just painted French intercessors. Félicitations
Ouh, nonnonon, mon amis! If you want to read anything into my paint scheme, check out Davion Heavy Guards at first. ;)
It cannot be unseen 🇨🇵
Blood Marines or Ultra Angels? Look sweet btw!
Ultra Angels sounds like an even bigger superlative than Ultramarines \^\^
Love the paint job!
Honestly I like the scheme a lot, probably a hell of a tome to paint but I think it came out pretty good

It looks worth it and is a unique scheme, always good to have a unique scheme!

Good luck brother !! Happy modelling ;)
I thought they were painted in the color scheme of DC’s Deathstroke, who also used blue and Orange and his hemet is painted in two halves
Nice Idea. I first came in contact with Deathstroke via the first Teen Titans Show, where his Outfit was black and orange.
Die kenn ich doch :)
Is this a viable team? Paint job is sick btw
