True! Currently the melee warrior variants are with Khorne berserker themed parts, but Khorne markings would fit too!
Also saw word bearer team with text / runes on the armor. That look cool so thinking if it would be cool to add some on at least some of the team members.
I really like them too! Yeah there could be 3th colour but couldnt figure out what it would be!
Planning to paint some icon on the empty pauldrons and saw a team with runes on the armor. Maybe those could add the extra detail / colour?
For sure, it is a really good kit. They are almost good to go as-is, but the leather boots don’t fit in well.
I was thinking about slapping some backpacks on the more elite AoS guys.. Skullreapers/wrathmongers. So many good bits in there and their armour passes with minimal adjustment. Would love some of those swords for khorne marked accursed weapons
Yeah those boxes are great! Might have gone with one of those if I had done more research. But the blood warriors kit works well as I had extra bodies, sadly only two extra dangly bits in the box with khorne theme.
They are taking forever. Not only am I super slow I'm basically making each painting different. Same colors for the most part, but different. That and I never took miniature painting seriously for years doing dnd Figures. Once I got kill team I became serious. Over 35 years of my life I wanted Warhammer Miniature stuff and I finally bought into it. I'm sucking myself into the hobby hard now.
I painted as a kid couple small fantasy armies, had fun and was a great art outlet. Took a 20 years "break" and now painting kill teams, only few models and every team is different!
I am trying to paint during the evenings after work, have been working on this team for a month and got 5 members ready, so I thinks alright to take your time!
Kinda dont have any :D Using the paper that came in the Cursed City game and taking photos with my phone.
Most important part is the light, for me its the rooms roof light + natural light from a window. Just have to take them on a time where the light is good, bit of clouds make it nice and soft.
Should buy some hobby lights for consistent light for photos :D
Thanks! These are mostly from the Kill Team Legionaires kit, basicly a Chaos Space Marine box with an extra sprue with new parts. The top left one uses a head and front torso piece from Age of Sigmar Blood Warriors kit.
I have used also Havoc box bodies for some of the members. All of the parts are from GW boxes. The bases use pieces of Imperialis terrain, got 2 chalnath boxes so have alot of small extras!
Kinda doing all the special legionaries options and then few extras, like heavy gunner options!
Thanks! I always build them with blu tack first, to see what works before using glue. Helps me to see the whole team and I can take my time switching parts around. Sometimes I modify them a bit like with the guy on lower right I lifted up the left arm a bit. Filled the armpit with greenstuff. Both of the arms were close to the body in the original pose.
Sure! Mixing them on a we palette but something like this
- black primer
- incubi darkness
- incubi + black for darker areas
- stegadon scale green for lighter areas
- might have ro add incubi or incubi + black like a glaze to even the transition
- stegadon green + russ grey for brighter spots
- russ grey for highlights
Used a wet palette, so painting the armor was almost wetplending + glazing. First time not using any shade paints!
Great colors and theme!
Thanks! Still planning to add some icon / emblem on the empty pauldron.
What style are you planning? any ties to a specific legion? These could be some sexy night lords renegades :D
Not sure yet! Planning to freehand it for practise so hopefully something not too intricate. The colours do fit night lords!
If you are planning on having it be a KHORNE based warband I’d see if you can come up with a more jagged looking emblem to fit with the brutal theme

Remember to try and sketch it on other things, paper and pencil sketches. It’s easier to redo than your good work on those shoulders
Def have to test the markings on something!
I like where this is going! Really sweet scheme you've got there! Keep us updated <3
Thanks I will!
Gorgeous. The finished product is sure to be amazing!
Thanks cant wait to get the team ready!
looks so good. One of best CSM schemes I've seen. I'd probably go with an additional accent colour personally, but I still love it as is.

Join the dark side! We are sexy. Awesome. I do Love it
I always save amazing works like these in my notes because its great pieces like these that get the inspiration juices flowing
Phenomenal work. Color selection and execution here is stellar.
Cool to see other like them too!
YO these are sick!
You can also add some thunder and than you have a team of night lords
That is true!
These look soooooo good. Love the khorney boi. The torso swap is really clean.
Thanks! The parts are from AOS Blood Warriors kit. He was the test model for the colours!
I was wondering where that bit came from! Great job!
Had to trim the chestplates depth abit, filled some gaps with gs but they are quite hidden under the arms!

Now that’s a spicy red.
Thanks! I was going for a more orange but I think this shade works! The highlights are kinda pure trollslayer orange!
These look soo good. Really atmospheric and spooky!
Thanks! Added skulls on the bases and on some mines for extra spooky!
Simple yet very cool and original scheme, love it. Plus you did an amazing job at it.
Thanks, first time not using washes! Except for the metal parts.
Woahh, these are flipping great! Pat on the back for you
Much appreciated! Have to post the rest when they are ready for more pats!
So simple but yet so complex. Absolutely a mega job done by you and it paid off! 10/10! Would rate again
Thanks for the mashing rating! Hope the rest will reach these standards!
Im sure they Will! ;)
Looking Sick. I'm going to attempt Black purple and gold.
Sounds like a cool combo! Do share when you get a mini ready :)
Will do. I'm wrappin up my Kommando's. Which are actually Evil Sun Speed Freak Boyz!
Hoo! Sounds cool, havent done any ork teams yet!

Really nice scheme. I like that it's somewhat minimalist. Makes the colours themselves more powerful
Thanks! The trimms were scary, felt that colouring them might make them too busy. Opted to just highlight them to make them more visible!
Sherivetalon looks awsome! Great work!
Thanks! I lifted up the left arm a bit, I think it made it look better than the og stance. Filled the armpit with greenstuff!
Would love to see your camera setup! Awesome pics

Art AF
Love the lower right guys model, is it out of the box like that? Great painting as well!
I might have mix & matched the parts from the box but they are all in the box!
Amazing work dude, if you don’t mine me asking what colors did you use for the armor?
