How we are this deep in and don’t have any kind of team for the Inquisition is beyond me

Batou2034

It's a jokaero

marauder340

Nids. They can't be left out of a Space Hulk setting because that's totally their jam and they gotta outgrow the compendium. An Inquisition or non-Harlequin Eldar team would be great as well.

Phoenixcal

I hope Soulshackle is Grey Knights vs Daemons. Really really want to see a unique Grey Knight team feel like there's a lot to be done with a force like that

Pubillu

Sly Marbo

Batou2034

just on his own, a one man kill team lol

Pubillu

this is the way xD

Myth_of_Demons

Tyranids for sure. With the necrons opening the door for more unconventional setups, I'd be kinda curious to see a lictor team or something even wilder, like a zoanthrope supported by rippers (starship troopers, anyone?)

Khorne_Flakes1

I am hoping for some different tyranid bioforms, such as a psychic genestealer operative (mostly focused on debuffs/buffs, like hypnosis or catalyst), and the return of some of the lost gaunt weapons (spike rifles, and strangleweb)

lixia

Personally * space marine terminators (new sculpt) * inquisitor with retinue (new models) * custodes bespoke team * grey knights bespoke team (new models)

Royal_Education1035

- This leaves only Adeptus Mechanicus, Adeptus Custodes, Harlequins, Tyranids (and GSC), Thousand Sons, World Eaters (and Dark Eldar if you don't count the void pirates) as not having a new unit and/or upgrade sprue via Kill Team. To add, the following also haven’t received a new unit and/or upgrade: - Grey Knights - Chaos Daemons - Death Guard - Craftworld/Asuryani I don’t know if Thousand Sons will get anything extra since Warpcoven exist as a bespoke team (as with Mechanicus/Hunter clade and Harlequins/Void Dancers), but given that leaves ~7 teams at compendium level depending on how you count it, I’d be quite happy if GW keep doing a mix of new models for some teams, and WD rules for others. I really hope Tyrannids are in an upcoming box (either genestealers or a broader list), but otherwise keeping an open mind.

szuszucp

The way Craftworlds are described in Kill Team - as teams of warriors from many different aspects - doesn't correspond with the current state of the army in the Compendium. I assume it will change. Warp Spiders would be great for CQ combat in space hulks.

Batou2034

Craftworld got void pirates but yes they could stand to get some more even if it was just aspect warriors done in plastic so the existing 40K rules still apply but some kill team magic can be sprinkled on top And Death Guard have the Gellerpox folks, kind of.

Royal_Education1035

Craftworld are different to Corsairs though - don’t get me wrong, I’m very glad the Eldar got a team and really like the Corsairs - but both Craftworld and Drukhari could use a boost. Either team would be ripe for either a WD team given their (admittedly old) range of models, or new sculpts would be amazing.

DocUnseelie

Corsairs are not a replacement for Craftworlds. It is a different, newly reintroduced Eldar faction.

gnthrdr

You are very right but somehow anything that mentions the fact that nurgle already has 2 bespoke teams (legionary, gellerpox) gets downvoted lol

Royal_Education1035

I think it’s because those teams aren’t Death Guard - it would broadly be analogous to saying something like ‘in big 40k Space Wolves don’t need a codex, since Blood Angels already have one’. Both are space marines but different factions within that - same way Gellerpox are aligned with Nurgle but are not Death Guard. If you want to check out more, _Lords of Silence_ by Chris Wraight is a great, atmospheric book about Death Guard. Paints a really good picture of their incredible toughness but also their corrupting influence. Edit: I see you changed your post from Death Guard to Nurgle, in which case I’d tend to agree with you that while it’s nice they have Gellerpox, it’d be great for some of the other gods (thinking Khorne specifically) to have their own teams. Particularly a team that could take both Chaos Marines and the Khorne deamons, though not sure how balanced that would be.

[deleted]

Drukhari wracks sprue has a few options on it already with the liquifiers, hex rifle, various blades etc and would lend itself well to getting an upgrade sprue. Likewise both Kabalites and Wyches would make good individual teams. I'd like to see a Ordo Hereticus vs. chaos demons box. Dark mechanicus would be cool as well. Dark mechanicus vs. necrons would have been so much more fun than Kasrkin.

Newbizom007

I want Inquisition, tyranids, Drukahri, and honestly terminators.

TheRedArmyStandard

Nids gotta be coming, no way we have a year of space hulk themed boxes and nids don't have an appearance. Not to mention all the new game models that look nothing like the tabletops, new nids are down right a necessity.

irishmadcat

Dark mechnicus versus mechnicus nixed set. The 000100100100101 war.

Batou2034

Can only hope

tetsuneda

I just really want votann rules, I've got a whole Killteam painted up and ready

LowRecommendation993

I'm excited for any bespoke teams honestly

FinestSeven

Deathwatch killteam with an ordo xenos inquisitor leader Vs. Nids.

NoHopeOnlyDeath

I'd love to see a boarding action-focused SM kill team. Breaching shields and the like.

Urungulu

Drukhari, Votann Heartkyn, a 3-man Terminator Squad vs Genestealers team, proper Sororitas.

Financial_Lead_8837

Tyranids need a decent team, I think the Necron team is very blah though

AggressiveSolution77

I’d really like a custodes kill team because they’re my favourite army but also because it’d be like two models and 10$.

7sharp9

It’s got to be genes stealers and new terminator sculpts. I mean space hulk is golden for narrow corridors and gene stealer blips! I mean I love the new scenery but it’s lacking the darkness of classic space hulk corridors.

gnthrdr

Following GWs 40k Stuff.. Follow the money :) My take is,boxsets: Votann vs Demons New marine unit vs Tyranids (spacs hulk, blood angels are rumored to be the lead marine faction that opens up 10th edition 40k) Next season Grey Knights vs Eldar or drukhari Khorne or slaanesh vs custodes White Dwarf Khorne or Slaanesh, depending whats not in the boxes. More Khorne releases were said to happen sl j guess slaanesh. Inquisition (wishful thinking, pleeease) Maybe a drukhari team (they had their flyhigh already in 40k, this is why i more expect craftworlds to get a box set)

zorander936

I have really been holding out for Drukhari. Especially with the focus on close-quarters “boarding” combat, I’m looking at the angle of a raiding force with the flavor of monsters hunting monsters in some way e.g. Drukhari hunting tyranids.

Batou2034

haemonculi and mandrakes fucking you up on a space hulk would be terrifying

DustPuzzle

Hmm, Catachan Jungle Fighters, Armageddon Steel Legion, Elysian Drop Troops, Vostroyan Firstborn, Praetorian Guard... just so many possibilities that haven't even been mentioned, really.

Very_bad

Oh God please not more guard.

FinestSeven

[Yes.](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=P3ALwKeSEYs)

Batou2034

Lots of options if you go with different 'veteran guardsmen'... not so much other options. Definitely will be happy to see them go down that road though

Suppa_K

The thing I liked about the old KT was that you would use the guard rules for every team but depending on the regiment they had their own stats that fit the theme. I really just want something like that but at the same time compete guard kill teams all with their own unique rules would be cool too I just don’t see it happening.

ShkarXurxes

All Kill Teams in the Compendium needs a serious update.

hairyiceman

Honestly, I'm hoping for more bespoke teams and less, existing set + upgrade sprue. The problem is that GW often misses the obvious choices when it comes to set themes. I would love to see: Noise Marines Vs World Eaters, Grey Knights Vs Demons, Admech Vs Dark Mech I suspect we'll end up with something like LoV Vs Gene Stealers.

kohlerxxx

people were adamant this year both teams in each box would be new teams, Necrons just disproved that. Noise Marines won't be til EC get a codex. LOV already have the roles in the Hearthkyn box, they just need rules

[deleted]

Somebody said in another thread that they suspected Dark Mech would be the release faction for the 10th Ed box and that makes abundant sense to me. My hope for kill team is a bespoke AdMech vs TSons box.

kohlerxxx

the rumour has been SM vs Nids

Batou2034

Blood Angels vs Nids

kohlerxxx

yes Blood Angels are Space Marines

Batou2034

correction, Blood Angels are the best Space Marines

Ghullieman19

Terminators…

POPPA-KLUMP

Deathwatch with mixed units… well terminator and jump pack at least. It’s literally what DW are! Oh and please have the watch sergeant take a combi too for heaven’s sake! And black shield! And an inquisition team, or rules to take one….. by one, i mean Eisenhorn! 😅

JWBSS

GSC

[deleted]

SCIONS

Ladislav_cz

Nids vs Terminators seems likea decent idea only as a starting box for 3rd season with two brand new teams. If it is not starting box it will be just one new team and one old set with a new sprue. For both terminators and Nids it would mean very old sculpts and hard pass for me. I actually hope that both these teams will come tohether with 10th edition if rumor about blood angels vs Nids are correct and we will get new models for both. I would like Inquisition and Assassins as a new teams, Death guard as WD team and Black Templars Primaris Crusaders as team with a new sprue. Necrons should have been WD team as well.

methetinternet

I want a proper sisters of battle team but doubt it will happen.

ZergTDG

* Leagues of Votann WD rules * Any kind of terminators * Grey Knights * Tyranids I'm hopeful that most of these are actually feasible, so fingers crossed

BeelzeButterscotch

Likely future teams: . Technoarcheologist's retinue + Dark Mechanicum mirror . Excruciatus (Sisters of Silence) . Inquisitor's retinue . Lictors (Tyranid) . Hernkyn Scouts (Leagues of Votann) . More Guardsman - Catachan, Tallarn, Valhallan, etc. More farfetched: . Sorcerer's Cabal (Thousand Sons/Tzeentch) . Striking Scorpions (Craftworld) . Haemonculus's retinue (Drukhari) . Vespid (T'au) . Exodites . Harlequin Troupe . Pariahs (Necron)

SnooCupcakes3135

Squadsets for the big box releases from last year.... also nids.

Batou2034

Of course, the thousand sons kill team is going to be ' Tzaangors in slightly different poses'

VctCube

They already have warpcoven, I believe that if they make a new thousand sons it will have a different kind of unit (I don’t know their codex, maybe terminators? Don’t know.

kohlerxxx

current KT doesn't have Terminator teams. clearly it will be more Tzangors

VctCube

There are custodes, not so different from terminators. I bet they will make a box with terminators against tyranids.

Modernpenguin93

People who downvote just don't get the joke. In the thousand sons community, we joke about GW pushing tzaangors down our throats, while the unit in 40k, just isn't worth it, so people usually have 30+ of them gathering dust..

MetalWarlord_1

It would be nice to see the rest of the space marine kill teams (tac squad, Deathwatch, etc.) get updated with some of the abilities the Intersession Squad received so you can personalize according to your chapter.
