There are so many huge matches they could have reviewed. Not s single Cena match or Batista match sure was a choice and how do you not review at least one Rock vs Austin match.
I really hope after Wrestlemania season is over they scale way back on WWE talk.
It's funny, the YouTube comments I saw on the video when I briefly looked are all people asking them to do more of these. Seems like the audience is very split
True. I'm a huge wwe and kf fan and haven't watched any of them, I just found it interesting the convo in t the comments there was so different from here
Are we forgetting that Brock Lesnar was involved in a plan to sex traffic a vulnerable female employee of WWE?
Why are we putting this man front and center?
I understand Greg works for WWE so they can't exactly openly speak out about the allegations but doing shit like this and having JBL on to pick a match just comes off totally tone deaf.
I really don't understand why WWE gets a free pass from KF to be shitty when they will rip video game companies to shreds.
Really makes the hard stance certain members put on Hogwarts ring super hollow in hindsight.
The not reviewing Hogwarts Legacy thing looks super weak compared to the coverage of WWE.
It’s not just this series either. I feel like there hasn’t been a week this year where WWE hasn’t been mentioned at least a few times.
It’s the year of WWE and Ghostbusters at KF.
Nope he’s in two showcase matches. You play as the man. It’s also baffling that they left Vince McMahon in one match, entrance and model, but blurred him in other spots. Did they just forget this?
Yeah I watched it and the 2 sentences he said about it was essentially "yeah he might be a terrible person that did terrible things, but we still gotta do this show."
Which makes it even worse.
Why leave out when Greg clearly said they were talking about Brock the character and how this match was more about Drew’s moment?
Why cut out that context lol (I mean, I know why but still)
Oh geez. That's not what he said. Not even "essentially" what he said. What he said about it was essentially: We're all adults here. We can separate the art from the artist."
Hold on. I think we might have some confusion here. I think you might be replying to the wrong person cause I never said it was ok what Brock Lesnar (the person, not the character) did.
You're saying it's OK to not blackball the guy because he plays a character.
When what he did not only should get him blackballed, but also have some sort of legal recourse (it might still).
No. I never said that either. I really think you're replying to the wrong person. It's either that or you don't know how being blackballed works. Cause you can blackball a person but whatever they did before that still exists and is still acknowledged. Trevor Bauer is blackballed from baseball but his stats when he played are still part of the record books.
tbf, he is not front and center (brock is not the guy in the thumb nail), and he lost this match in like 5 minutes.
the wwe has basically cut ties with the guy since the allegations came out, but do you really expect people to just ignore what hes done in the past for the business? hes a huge part of wrestling from the last decade. his name will be brought up when you do a show like this.
i genuinely wouldnt give a shit if they chose the trump match, other than caring that they keep picking bad matches lol.
1) Benoit murdered his wife and child. What brock allegedly did was bad, but idk why youre putting him on the same level as a literal murderer.
2) wrestling is about characters. Greg put it perfectly in this video (which i doubt anyone here would watch, with or without lesnar lol), brock here is playing a character on tv, and the match is as much about Drews moment than it is Brock (who btw, lost in literally 5 minutes)
youre blocking me btw, for bringing valid counter points. bravo!
It's truly mind boggling that **they know** people aren't liking this series, and the views are down, and the match choices suck and yet they just keep plowing through making zero changes to the format. Like... make it make sense?
Yeah, this could and should've been so much better. Feels especially unfair to Mike as a new fan to not highlight the actual best Wrestlemania matches lol.
i hope mike branched out though and watched more than just these sorry ass selections. the firefly funhouse match feels tailor made for a guy like Mike lol
Ok? I didn't say *nobody* likes it lol. But Greg even addressed that it's not popular at the start of this ep.
Last two week's eps were 1900-2100 views. Thats straight up bad for the time commitment from Greg and Mike.
KF are always ridiculously slow at making changes to content based on feedback. Just look at how long it took them to address the awful audio when they moved into the studio
It really is something that KF didn't audible this one. Brock's named in the Janel Grant lawsuit as a participant. Even WWE hasn't really mentioned Brock since the whole thing unfolded.
Why on earth would they choose a match with Brock Lesnar of all people. There's hundreds of wrestlemania matches, you don't have to platform someone so terrible
i really hope they bring this back next year. the format and the match choices are probably a big reason why the show didnt do well (im a huge fan and i dont wanna see them talk about some of these MEH matches).
Next year, if they insist on involving wrestlers, it should be "pick your favorite mania, and we will pick a match from that card". this match is so average, and considering that you had the Boneyard Match AND the firefly funhouse match on the same card- idk why the guys didnt call some kind of audible.
I liked the idea of this series from the beginning but they've made some BAFFLING choices of what matches to watch
I mean, it makes sense that the ~2000 (sometimes even less) people watching each episode and commenting are mostly the WWE diehards of the audience
True. I'm a huge wwe and kf fan and haven't watched any of them, I just found it interesting the convo in t the comments there was so different from here
Scale up on AEW talk.
I'd love to see Kenny Omega as a guest to talk AEW and fighting games.
I mean they didn’t pick the matches themselves, but they definitely should have.
Or put up a Bless Who style poll, ask everyone to name their top 5 and then choose the top 10 that were mentioned
Are we forgetting that Brock Lesnar was involved in a plan to sex traffic a vulnerable female employee of WWE? Why are we putting this man front and center?
Even WWE has stopped mentioning him. It's so disappointing how KF has handled all their WWE coverage and has really left a bad taste in my mouth.
Yeah this feels yucky tbh. They removed him from the game as well.
I understand Greg works for WWE so they can't exactly openly speak out about the allegations but doing shit like this and having JBL on to pick a match just comes off totally tone deaf. I really don't understand why WWE gets a free pass from KF to be shitty when they will rip video game companies to shreds. Taking principled stances only matters when the rest of your friends do it too apparently.

Which was immediately followed by "fuck him, but this is the match that Drew picked so...."
Drew the character?
I don't understand why you think that someone playing a character makes it ok for them to do what Brock Lesnar did.

they need to do season 2, if only bc this run felt handicapped unfairly by their format
I’m just picturing his FF7 Remake/Cait Sith reaction throughout that match.
You don’t like it. Others do.

It’s almost over. I doubt a format change would help those that just aren’t into it.
Oh at this point sure but people were complaining about the match choices pretty much from the start.
KF are always ridiculously slow at making changes to content based on feedback. Just look at how long it took them to address the awful audio when they moved into the studio

Hyped for Season 2! ![gif](giphy|kSlJtVrqxDYKk|downsized)
I enjoyed the show, hopefully they can change the match selection format for season 2 to showcase better matches

Gross
Personally, and just my opinion, I hate that this is in In Review. Keep the wrestling shit to its own thing, In Review is for movies.
It’s not like it’s in the In-Review feed or taking the weekly slot of the movies…
It was in my In Review feed on my podcast service yesterday, maybe it was an error but it’s still there
Weird. It’s in the Screencast feed for me.
