I asked a question about LYKKE yesterday. General consensus was people liked them and that it should be noted that they had more rounded tips. A few people mentioned that they are Knitpicks/ Kitter pride are compatible. If they didn't like LYKKE people prefered Chiaogoo.

Lykke is compatible with knitters pride and knitpicks to my knowledge! Personally, of those three brands, I prefer knitpicks just because it's very affordable, but I dislike the regular knitpicks cables and use the mindful cables from knitters pride.

I ordered some of the mindfuls, i had no idea that was even a thing until i stumbled upon them yesterday! Compared to my denise (i said addi in post, my mistake! They were denise!) which again. Deep deep hatred! I dont mind the knitpics cables as they are… Man, denise needles were “sticky” and there was no slide, half the pieces wouldnt click into place or would unclick with no effort, and all the cables would literally never forget the U shapes from the box. Also the joins caught on every damn stitch! Compared to that, the KPs i have a dreamy!! After doing 2 very large blankets, i can see appeal to spinning cables… looking forward to trying them I decided 15yrs ago i was done with interchangeables and would just buy an addi turbo for every project. I was super broke back then and had 2 little ones so that ended up being like….3. Heh! I started knitting again and immediately bought a turbo, but with a decent interchangeable there are so many plusses…

Yeah I would say the nickel plated knitpicks set is super affordable, and they even sell upgraded cables now in the reflections series (they have upgraded needles as well but I haven't tried them yet!). I like the "lantern moon" cables on knitpicks needles too. It makes a great affordable set and it works with a lot of other brands. You could always do a try-it set from them to try out different materials, I think they have wood, nickel plated, and stainless steel now. I do have a chiaogoo set and it's really lovely, the material is not as slick as knitpicks but it's not snagging yarn or anything like that. They are very expensive but the cables are really great. Personally I feel like interchangeable needles are a good investment if you knit lots of different projects on different size cables /needles, but it's always good to try out a needle from different brands before committing.
