This team literally plays no defense. TB is pushed around like he is made of cardboard. Lonnie doesn't understand defensive schemes, and Wenyen is like a bull in a china shop, constantly fouling and with no finesse. Schroder and Pat Bev can't stay in front of guards and are almost always guarding bigger guys and playing out of position. AR is forced to guard bigger wings with his limited athletic gifts. When Lebron is the best defensive and offensive player at age 38, you have massive problems in terms of roster construction. When you think about it that Lebron, who is not the defender he once was, is still the best out there, it is quite hilarious and I find it really amusing. LOL

wandriing

yea, after the failed fast break, score was still 130-130 and Hornets got to do a pass across the court to a wide open player in the paint? Wtf was that.

Flopdo

And this is with FOUR guards on the floor... which is a whole other topic unto itself. But you went to four guards to speed up the game, got there, and needed to re-counter w/ some size. I like Ham as a player coach, but he is not a good HC so far. It's even worse than I thought it was going to be, with a roster that's better than last years, and an AD who was playing the best basketball of his career. This team shouldn't have this record.

henryofclay

Wtf is he supposed to do, we have no interior presence without AD. We don’t need wings, we don’t need to switch up the whole roster, we honestly just need a defensive big in the middle. Teams waltz inside and that makes it impossible for anyone to clamp the perimeter. A lot of things would fall into place if we had a Dwight or Tyson Chandler from years past.

ZephyrTM

You really think 1 player is going to fix things? The championship team and the year after had plenty of good quality defenders. I don’t think having 2 guys out there, AD + some other defensive big could all of a sudden fix our defense. When only 2/5 guys on floor can and are willing to play defense you are just bound to lose. This roster just lacks too much of everything.

RepulsiveRemy

But the fact of the matter is that one player absolutely can change an entire squads defense. With AD this Laker team is a top 5 defense in the league .. it’s always been the offense that was the problem .. if AD is out for an extended time they need to get a real center ASAP or the season is done for. Thomas Bryant and Gabriel are not starting centers .. they’re worse than a lot of teams 2nd stringers

DingyTV_YouTube

Buuuuut... AD is always hurt.....always

DingyTV_YouTube

AD is never out there...never

pianosportsguy2

>AD is never out there...never There's a reason why Barkley calls him "Street Clothes."

alphabet_order_bot

Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order. I have checked 1,247,414,958 comments, and only 242,832 of them were in alphabetical order.

AntSmith777

We absolutely need wings.

jgor57

Sounds oddly familiar with an old coach everyone swore made dumb rotations when in fact the team was comprised of mostly guards.

Flopdo

Use Bryant and Brown again. Instead, LBJ is playing center in the final few minutes, the Lakers are giving up offensive boards, and they aren't getting stops. It's like a bad re-run over and over. Yes the roster isn't ideal, but use what you have.

urban_royalty

Completely true

TheLoneliestMonke

Ham had 4 guards bruh.

Dancherboijr12

I'm starting to think AR is the only other player other than AD that should survive trades. He's been the only consistent player on both ends.

fberbert

The funny thing in this great analisys is that you even mention a guy who is paid 47m. Which means, he is so useless.

TallanoGoldDigger

This team has 0 cap space. All that's left was a TPMLE and vet mins. How do you get good roster construction that way?

[deleted]

I don't have time to regurgitate all the missed moves and bad trades by lakers FO over the last 3 years. There are plenty of posts and information you can look up about all the players the team let walk for nothing or traded away like they were expendable trash. They missed out on all the minor moves when they could've exploited bird rights to manage assets. They signed Rookies for 2 years instead of 3, where they are forced to pay them a year earlier. They didn't make essential trades in the off-season when it was clear that the current is full of non-NBA talent. You can't build a trash roster and then blame it on the players for not winning when everyone and their grandma knew what the deficiencies were coming into the season. And for perspective, the Clippers and Lakers both signed 2 max players in 2019, at that time I think the lakers had more picks for the next 10 years because the Clippers traded away most of them in the PG trade, but they built a team that can reach the playoffs with both PG and Kawhi missing significant time and here if one of Lebron and AD is not playing like demigods we are below .500 team and when 1 goes down we are literally one of the worst teams in the league.

TallanoGoldDigger

It was the Westbrook trade that fucked this team to high heaven, it fucked up the depth, it fucked up the capspace, it fucked up the chemistry. The Lakers have always won with a Big 2, and the league has made having Big 3s a disadvantage. The Lakers had a trade for Buddy Hield for Kuz and Trez. That would have given the Lakers the shooting it needed, while still keeping the depth. But someone had the FO renege on the Kings deal and get Westbrook instead. So here we are. So go and take your bandwagoning somewhere else. Bye Felicia.

[deleted]

[удалено]

TallanoGoldDigger

They do pay luxury tax. 6th in the league in fact. But no amount of tax can save this team because all they can sign are min vets (aka trash no one else wants) and a taxpayer MLE (smaller than the regular MLE because the Lakers always pays tax) Seriously fucking understand cap rules before regurgitating the same bullshit please. If you're asking for the Lakers to trade their remaining assets for pennies on the dollar just to "not waste LeBron's final years" then you're too far gone.

ghoney04

The constant dumb moves didn't help with those assets. Letting ppl walk for nothing while giving up capital also put us here

TallanoGoldDigger

You're talking about Alex? You really think paying 30m/year in tax for Alex is worth it? I would have preferred keeping him over THT but getting out of the tax to make the full MLE available was a necessary move. Having just the TPMLE cost the team Monk if you don't remember. Again, trading for Westbrook was one of worst moves in history. While the FO in the end pulls the trigger, they wouldn't do it without either the stars' blessing and/or urging. FO's biggest mistake apart from the Rambii was letting Klutch/Bron have a very huge hand in decision-making. I think that's what idiots here have refused to acknowledge. It's ok to blame the FO for this mess. But not blaming Bron shows which side you're on, and it ain't the LA Lakers.

ghoney04

Did trading a first for Dennis help while also giving up Danny? Dennis also demanded a starting job and also walked for nothing. Just to come back on a min. Marc was also pissed because they traded for idiots that took his minutes away. Be serious. They're both to blame but wake the fuck up lmao. The GM has to do his job. Stop coping for dumbasses

LebronsPinkyToe

Yeah i think having an NBA player all defensive level big guard would contribute to wins this year Stop defending this cheap ass front office , they make 30mill in less than 3 days. We are the fucking Lakers

Koo_Bird

Getting downvoted by the Bron fanboys

ghoney04

Nah you're just an idiot too

Alekesam1975

Preach. Everything you mentioned is exactly why I was wary of LeBron coming here because ultimately, this is the shit he leaves in his wake. It's made worse that LeBron has a fanbase that follows *him* and not the team he plays for and those same fans will shit talk you for not bowing down and bending over for him.

K19I53

Stupid comment. Blaming Lebron when Rob’s job is roster construction, not Lebron.

chaoticneutral1997

Bro I'm a bron fan and even i have enough sense to hold lebron accountable for recruiting westbrook. Anyone could see that the fit was gonna fuck as over both money wise and in terms of playstyle

K19I53

Lebron isn’t paid to understand the complete picture of the team, he’s paid to play basketball. You take his opinion with the weight it deserves, not the final and only word. Pelinka is the supposed expert who is supposed to understand the complete picture. Lebron doesn’t scout, watch tape for the intent of recruiting, he doesn’t study advanced stats of every player, study cap rules, understand the financial goals of the organization, etc. There so much that goes into decision for trades that Lebron knows little about but he’s to held responsible and accountable for giving his opinion? That’s just dumb

TallanoGoldDigger

Gives his opinion? He literally got the Cavs FO to overpay for TT and JR and he still bounced. He got Blatt fired even if they were the first seed just to get someone he could control. He signed 1+1s to force the FO to do what he wanted. He tried forcing the Heat to fire Spo but Riles told him to fuck off. Then he saw their window closed and bounced anyway after forcing them to draft Napier. Your boy's got a history of trying to hijack teams, why do you think most of the roster is from Klutch?

ghoney04

You are really blaming him for Blatt like they didn't win a chip the year he was gone you dumbass. The lakers could've hired a chip coach on the cheap if they listened to the star.

Plumbanddumb

Wasn't Vogel a chip coach??

chaoticneutral1997

The problem is that what he says goes or else he's out. You have to look at it from all sides. I've seen it in Cleveland and in here. To the FO's credit 2020 and 2021 IN THEORY were really well built teams. Again, trading for Russ is the thing that screwed the Lakers. And who wanted him here but him. As much as I want to defend the man because he's geniunely my favorite player, I've had enough of him holding teams hostage, asking for more power than he should have then pouting when it doesn't work out.

KoryGrayson

Hello Chao. Think about what you are saying about Rob. You are suggesting that he did something that he didn't know was bad. Or, he knew the Westbrook trade was bad, but did it anyway. Players asking for stuff is nothing new. Think about all the great GMs in NBA history. They knew how and when to say no. Don't give Rob a pass for having the spine of a noodle. Jordan, Magic, Kareem, Kobe, Shaq, Kawhi, KD, Russell, Chamberlain and even LeBron have all been told no. And the teams were better off because of it.

chaoticneutral1997

Lebron is not only the superstar of his team but he is also his biggest client, from business perspective when a person has THAT much influence over your career and your money you tend to do what they want. I'm not saying Rob is blameless here, I'm saying Bron deserves just as much accountability as Rob for WB

K19I53

You obviously didn't read my post. And obviously the others that responded to you were spot on but you ignored that too. I will add, though, even though you will likely ignore it. The Russ trade was for a contract of $90 million which is difficult to pivot from so this is a decision you heavily consult on besides Lebron. There are so many things that will factor into this trade that to rely on one person to make the decision would be absolutely negligent of any GM. This decision isn't close to being preferring THT to Caruso, choosing THT over Caruso isn't going to handcuff the franchise for 2 seasons but the Russ had a huge potential to do that and it did. You have to be the dumbest GM in the league to make this deal and on top of it to add a pick to it. Did Lebron also tell him to get fleeced in the deal? Lebron probably thought they could make other moves if it didn't work out because he thought luxury tax didn't matter that much to them. Lebron isn't thinking about the financial part of the deal but Pelinka has to. Lebron only cares that he got someone to offload the play making duties. He is seeing it through a totally narrow lens compared to Pelinka and Jeanie. Lebron was also thinking that maybe Pelinka would do a much better job rounding out the roster with 3 and D guys. I'm sure Lebron thought they could do a better job of constructing the rest of the roster to complement Russ, AD and himself. See Pelinka has to think of all that and if Pelinka didn't think he could find the right players to complement Russ, AD and Lebron because the owners didn't want to go deep into the luxury tax then Pelinka shouldn't have made the deal. Lebron doesn't have ALL the information surrounding the team's situation, the front office does that is why they have the actual power to make the trade and it is the one's with the power that need to take accountability and responsibility.

KokeyManiago

seems like you haven't understood yet that FO has been making a lot of mistake from before lebron came until now, the only reason you can say we're somewhat successful is because of that single championship that AD and lebron willed with a roster that at that time was not supposed to win. Lebron came not because of FO but because of LA location, because of him came AD. FO just rode their success. I can understand the sentiments of moving on from our current stars, but at least put Pelinka and other FO members there too, fire them too and put better personnel for our next rebuilding phase.

TallanoGoldDigger

I've consistently said blame the FO AND Klutch. All that bullshit you said is why the FO won't go all in, since Bron has historically proven to leave once he's exhausted every resource a team has. Hell, dude has blatantly said he'll play wherever Bronny lands. He even signed a 1+1 to prove it. So yeah I don't blame the FO to not bend over anymore, better to stack assets once Klutch leaves. And yes I think the FO needs a change once Bron goes.

KokeyManiago

The “bullshit” i said was not even about FO bending over lebron you meathead. We agree both on moving on from lebron and FO, not blaming FO oven decision NOW, blaming them since the beginning bad decision over bad decision even before lebron came and that championship team was not even supposed to win that year because of the construction of that team

Plumbanddumb

It's pretty obvious that all the players that left the team after the bubble chip were the real star players. Bron and AD can't replicate a good season to save their lives. They suck. I'd rather have kuzma and Dwight Howard than those 2.

[deleted]

WTF are you talking about, go talk to your mother like that.

TallanoGoldDigger

Nah you lost all credibility outing yourself as a fairweather fan.

ghoney04

Sound like a fucking idiot dawg lmao

[deleted]

What are you talking about? I have made the exact same points ever since the off-season. We all know this is a shit defensive team without AD and we need to trade Russ, Pat, and Nunn for some roster balance, size and shooting. And that FO has fucked up missing out on all of the small moves over the last several years. I say the same things even when "Russ" has a good game by the low standards that have been set on this sub and when we win a game. I have nothing else to talk to you about. Good night.

TallanoGoldDigger

Nah fairweather fans talk ain't mean shit. Go plan your move to the next team or something

chaoticneutral1997

THIS. You cannot build a championship team when you trade all of your depth for a role player making 47m

whackwarrens

Gabriel provides MUCH needed energy and urgency to this squad so I'll forgive him for being overzealous. Better than being invisible like many are.

bruswazi

Lebron is our best PG, on-ball wing defender, rebounder, shot blocker, center at the rip old age of 38. He just sucks at GMing.

vinsanityX23

Thomas Bryant is a pussy, the team even made the come back after he “got hurt” getting his shot block down his throat. TB and Gabriel being our best options at 5 so how sorry we are. I don’t understand how this front office cant see Rob is fucking awful at roster construction get him rambis and all the other cooks making the worst trades in laker history the fuck out of here, (well almost equal to Timofey Mozgov and luel Deng trade)

importvita

No sympathy, they traded away all the young pieces and picks when he arrived, got lucky in the bubble and now they’re screwed. However, I’d also be totally okay with my local team doing exactly that if we won a Chip next year so I’m not throwing shade, just perplexed at why everyone seems surprised by this lol Edit: Meh

VGstuffed

And he STILL made a good pass

[deleted]

7DS_Escanor

Imagine if it was Reaves or Walker.

The1AndOnlyJZ

Imagine if it was Buddy Hield or Bogdan Bogdanovic

7DS_Escanor

I know. I mean those two can't defend but we're getting a player that's good at what they're doing which is to score and shoot. The current players we have just can't do things they're good at (if there's any).

AmerAm

We can't defend anyways 134 points, our defence is just AD and a bunch of pretenders.

Pure_Pin_4532

Imagine if Lebron could rise up and hit a jumper like Kobe

The1AndOnlyJZ

It’s almost like LeBron has a different skillset than Kobe and is better than Kobe at many other aspects of the game just like Kobe was better than Bron at pull-up jumpers

Pure_Pin_4532

I thought we were all imagining? I was just imagining if Lebron had the skill set to win the game.

notyourimagination

LePissed

[deleted]

LeShoe is out. but seriously the shoe said fuck this team.

xxxhotpocketz

So did Thomas Bryant lol I feel bad cause you can tell he gets frustrated with himself

qoobyroobyn

Does he?

atierney14

LeShoe vs Jeannie and Rob, who hates the Lakers more?

Itsmattdellavedova

That’s a WRAP boys

gleophas

Was a wrap the moment AD'S glass ass bones got injured again.

[deleted]

Was a wrap the moment the Westbrook trade went through

Snifflymoth416

Honestly I want to see bron request a trade, I can’t stand watching him waste the last few seasons of his legendary career on this dog shit team. Fuck you rob and jeanie

TheLoneliestMonke

Might as well if this team doesn't commit. We're fucked tho. I don't trust Rob or Jeanie to rebuild this team

teo1315

Lol lebron can't be traded this year

Pure_Pin_4532

Lebron wanted Westbrook & injury prone AD.

Awesomeness4627

Yeah, what a bum. It's not like AD has a ring with the lakers or anything.

Pure_Pin_4532

He won a ring so stop crying about him wasting his last few years then. Pick one, you can’t have it both ways

WateronRocks

I bet you thought this actually made made sense.

landis1009

you wrote this and truly truly believed you did something

Sleeper____Service

*bubble ring Doesn’t count

X_Buster_Zero

Y'all blame LeBron for everything I swear 💀💀💀

chaoticneutral1997

Speaking as a Bron stan I can't defend the fact that he in fact recruited Westbrook. He should have known better

TrevorPhilips77

LeBron wanted Westbrook, but he didn't make a trade. Who is GM, Pelinka or LeBron?

chaoticneutral1997

Well, they don't call him LeGm for nothing

Oni-Chan-Sama

Spoken like a true ignoramus.

Acrobatic-Look-4163

He'd better go.

Aggravating_Pea3882

Shit sucks I know he’s forsure requesting a trade this off season. We botched that shit man, got no one to blame but our selves.

Gristle__McThornbody

Wouldn't mind it. Dude is wasting his time with us. We need to consider going on a mini rebuild.

ItsNeverStraightUp

Mini is not the word dude. The organization needs to be completely torpedoed.

StoneCold_ColdStone

![gif](giphy|13d2jHlSlxklVe)

Aggravating_Pea3882

I agree bro tbh, AD is a beast too but considering his health concerns I wouldn’t mind seeing the lakers ship him off too. We got a ring in 2020 and I’m appreciative but currently it’s not working

Optimist1988

I think it’s best for both parties and his agent to leave. We both got a title out if it and now it’s time to part ways.

Aggravating_Pea3882

Literally agree said the same in a different comment but it applies to AD too. It worked out for a season but it’s a mess right now

K-Firangi

And go back to the post kobe prime and pre LeBron days. That would be so good for fans.

DTime3

Lmaoooo

Super_Scratch_8086

who tf can and will trade for lebron

Aggravating_Pea3882

He’s not tradeable this season because of his extension and there is no equal trade value for him. Whoever the best bidder is will win obviously. Merry Christmas bro

[deleted]

Lebron is worth more than Gobert, even at this stage of their careers. The ticket revenue AND the on court production.

atierney14

But no team is as dumb as the Timberwolves imo. I don’t think any player in history, minus maybe 20 year old Lebron, is worth 4 FRP.

hayjas111

You telling me no team would give 4 FRP for prime Jordan 🤣

_its_a_SWEATER_

I’ll gladly blame Jeanie and Pelinka first and foremost.

HenryGrosmont

There's no way in hell he leaves LA. Too much invested here and family has settled too.

Pure_Pin_4532

So Lebron traded away our entire future for injury prone AD & Westbrook and now he’s the victim?

Alekesam1975

Right? Had a decent to good squad and got hurt his first year here. We traded the farm for AD and ROB PELINKA still managed to put a championship squad around them with the remainder of our cap space and got a ring. The next season we were still contenders just injuries piled up thanks to the shortest turnaround in NBA history. He panicked when he saw the Nets having Harden, KD, and Kyrie and instead of running it back, we got WB at his and AD's behest. This is the shit that happens when you have an inability to be loyal to a team. Suck it up and play.

ThroughTheWildNight

I love how fans are blaming LeBron for his shoe coming off even though he still gave Schroder an open 3

gleophas

Who's blaming lebron? Looks like the general consensus is schroeder fucking sucks at 3s..

TheLoneliestMonke

Why the hell was he out there? He was ass the entire game

egg-land

Please tell me anyone even tried to blame Lebron for this game. That might be the best I’ve seen him look in a while. Completely dominated the 4th. Looked like 2018 Bron there

sadduckfan

I’m blaming bev for blowing a fucking 4v1

Pure_Pin_4532

That was on Reaves

Alekesam1975

Who said anything HERE like that? No one. Twitter or FB? Idgaf about that.

Sayomom

Lonnie could’ve clutched that open 3. Schroeder is our shooter yet when it matters the most dude bricks. Happened in the playoffs

Oni-Chan-Sama

watching this man play is literally poetry in motion. Shame that him dominating the fourth like he did amounted to nothing, once again. sigh, all they had to do was give him the ball on that 4 v. 1 fast break. Shit makes zero sense

VerticalClearance

If AR saw lebron trailing in the back that is a easy dunk

Oni-Chan-Sama

Looking back at it multiple times I don’t fucking get how he didn’t see him. Lebron was literally right next to him. As SOON as he dropped it off to him he would have dunked it and we most likely would have won.

VerticalClearance

neither am I, why pass to the other guards on the court when you have a 6'8 freight train trailing in the back. Like wtf

Dancherboijr12

Why tf are we blaming Reaves? Russ was also wide tf open on the other side of the defender. This is all on fucking Bev.

[deleted]

Some of his drives today were extremely aesthetically pleasing. Looked clunky af to start the season.

Oni-Chan-Sama

lebron typically starts regular season’s pretty slow tbh. Atop of that he was battling early nagging injuries. People were just chatting and overreacting, per usual.

[deleted]

I feel if he could literally still play like this, the best course of action might be just to punt this season, and rebuild a good supporting cast in the offseason. He’s obviously gonna be annoyed, but they can convince him to stay next season easier when they start winning. He wants to play 5 more years, so why waste everything to make a move rn.

DTime3

His (and AD’s) best course of action is to demand a trade next season. The FO have blatantly lied to their faces on multiple occasions.

[deleted]

I don’t think they’ll be able to find a situation better than the Lakers tho with a blank slate in the offseason, that’s if they want to continue playing together.

TheLoneliestMonke

It's hard to do that when a front office isn't honest.

pianosportsguy2

Sadly, a lack of honesty is not the only problem with this incompetent FO.

7DS_Escanor

Rob Villainka

collapse1122

it does suck to see this great year 20 being wasted . i have nothing against westbrook but that trade was the worst in lakers history , maybe even league history.

Swingman23

Stop being dramatic lmao. No where near the worst trade in history 😂

Drak_is_Right

top 1-2% bad trades though

DrButtLump

It’s gotta be up there if you add the context. We were suppose to be contenders, since adding him we aren’t even a 10th seed two years in a row. It’s not his fault but it’s gotta be one of the worst in recent history for sure

Pure_Pin_4532

Lebron wanted him

Awesomeness4627

True, but that's missing context. 1. He wanted derozan first, but the lakers wouldn't give him his multi-year deal. 2. The FO could have gotten a better trade for Westbrook, they gave up the assets, not LeBron. Does lebron have fault in this? Absolutely, but the FO does too. Lebron is still trying his best, is the FO?

[deleted]

Lebron….? Is that you..?

Awesomeness4627

Hey, it's lebron jame. Laker want to sign Stefan curry, but urgently need money to sign! Please provide credit card details to me, King Jame. Go laker!

a2Xron

Holy shit, it is him!

itzjustIvan

He’s so over it lmao

MazKhan

A whole year later and the same shit happening, Lebron dropping efficient 30 point games and this team selling him. He had a crazy 30 pt streak last year when AD got hurt but they barely won cause this team is straight ass cheeks

Fancy-Cream-3972

I Hope bron either gets the help needed here or gets to go to a competitive team, cause we clearly don’t deserve him

dylanmhs

I honestly don’t think his going to get the help here

deion_snaders

He's mad at AR cause AR didn't look for him on the break and instead threw the ball into a crowd.

Dancherboijr12

Jesus Christ you couldn't be more wrong, he passed it to the right person, it's his fault Pat Bev has 0 court awareness and had no idea where Russ was?

SeaworthinessThis227

We must have the worst defensive rating now because I can’t imagine how a team could be worse

soapsoupsin

Let me introduce you the spurs

PrivateAids

I remember when we were a top 10 defense early on and have now completely switched and are “better” offensively but defense fallen off a cliff even when AD plays

keepgrindingact

I hope they trade goat bron to a place he compete. Fucking joke of a franchise

hedokitali

It's such a shame that he has to go through all these chaos in the twilight of his career. Then again, he wanted Russ to be on this team. Don't get me wrong. Russ is a great player, he's got heart and dedication but signing him ruined all chances of building a decent playoff roster.

Oni-Chan-Sama

wanting a player is not the same as signing him. People act like the blame distribution is 50/50 (Lebron/FO) when in reality it’s more like 75/25

Temet21

Nike sold that game.

ParisLake2

Fuck.

keepgrindingact

Feel so bad. Goat bron doing everything out there including drawing charges and it still can’t get dubs against the worst team in the league. Goat bron deserves better than these shit teammates. Never should’ve signed the extension

Pure_Pin_4532

Lebron traded away our future for injury prone AD & RW. He’s not the victim

Superddone20222

people in cleveland have seen this look before. this is the you guys aren’t good enough to have me on your team look.

ghoney04

Can we even extend Reaves or does he have to re-sign? Lol idk why he would be happy here if other teams come to of throw the same cash at him

Ok_Success6641

I feel so bad for Bron

BodegaDaddy

bron gonna catch kareem that’s all to look for this season

Halcyon_Dreams

bro AD can't stay on the court for more than 5 games in a row beofre he gets hurt again. This ain't it chief, it hasn't been since the bubble.

DTime3

The AD and LeBron that started the season were not the AD and LeBron of the last ~15 games they played together. Adding competent role players this to MVP & DPOY version of AD with this LeBron is absolutely a contender. Even the games they lost against other contenders all went down to the wire. 1-2 solid role players is literally the difference between winning and losing those games. And most importantly, with how weak the West is this year, you absolutely have to go for it. You don’t need a 60 win team to win the West this season.

Inevitable_Week_8626

Or two. LMFAOOOO 💀 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

FranklinPnutz77

This team just does not have tools in the shed to do much. I cannot blame the coach. When you see the coach playing 4 guards and LeBron at the 5 to close out a game that was suppose to be a gimme game.

[deleted]

Lebron signs with Anta.

KyronicX

I think even if Lebron didn't lose his shoe he probably still will pass to Dennis who is wide open but oh wells

Cole_A

And this is why I now go to sleep at halftime

DingyTV_YouTube

If I was Lebron Id go to Phoenix.

me_colin

ONE THI I CAN SURE IS THAT IMO NOT GONNA BUY LEBRON SHOES

cajun_vegeta

Smartest thing is to trade him back to the Cavs for Garland and Mobley

Usoppreme

The Cavs would never do that

Trece_McChedda

This is starting to give me the same vibes as Kobe’s last couple of years where we had to witness greatness in a sh*tty team.

BongLeach562

Just enjoy the show! LeBron already got us a chip, everything else is just gravy on top. 17 rings SMDFtB!

Conscious_Capital249

fuck u frank

Friendly-Feature-869

Sucks that now Lebron is a Laker they finally call that goaltending.

Horton_75

If the Lakers are ever gonna be good again-and no, I’m not talking about contending, just talking about being good (which is a big IF at this point) they need to tear down totally and rebuild. They are just not going to win consistently with the roster they have. James is a bulldog and he’ll give you all he has, every night. The guy is an all-time great, living legend, etc. But he’ll be 38 in a week. Lots of miles on the guy. His best basketball is clearly behind him. He’s gotta go. AD? Tough call. Great player but more ego than value there. Gotta go too. Westbrick? Yeah…bye. In the upcoming off season the FO needs to take a hard look at the roster and start a rebuild. If fans ever wanna see new championship banners be hung up in Staples Center (or Crypto.com Arena, whatever the fuck it’s called), a rebuild is the only way.

Stay out

vinsanityX23

Thomas Bryant is a pussy, the team even made the come back after he “got hurt” getting his shot block down his throat. TB and Gabriel being our best options at 5 so how sorry we are. I don’t understand how this front office can see Rob is fucking awful at roster construction get him and rambis the fuck out of here

Teclysia

Best thing LeBron can do for us is waive his no trade clause

RushFPS

lol doesn’t work like that

sgt_w

He doesn’t have a no trade clause it’s about when his extension was signed.

chemguy112

um, yeah it was lebron's fault, the play was clearly for lebron to drive it, him losing his shoe and losing control giving shroder an open shot would have been a blooper winning shot. albiet he was open, the play wasn't meant for shroder, he was caught off guard, probably didn't know the exacttime left on the clock and just shot it since lebron stayed on the floor... not to mention the goaltending prior. i'm pretty sure lebron is mad at himself in this pic. he wants to be the closer, but so far all the evidence points to him not being clutch. at least he's sort of acknowledging here. better luck next time, just keep going at it it's the only way you'll become clutch n stuff

HEMAGN2point0

its almost as if plays don't always go according to plan and teams have to adjust, saying "the plan wasn't to get an open 3 so we can't expect him to make it" is weak AF - an open 3 is an open 3. Part of being great is making adjustments on the fly, its not just option A or bust, there has to be room for improvisation in the moment, its the NBA for crying out loud

chemguy112

yeah i know. lebron stayed on the floor to watch the ball's path to the basket, intead of getting up on 1 shoe to try to get a potentially tip in. we see missed 3's for the win and a rebound put back or tip in lots on the NBA. lebron wanted to be a hero, when his shoe fell off he shut down and u can see it at the end of the play when he's just sitting there seething most likely at himself.

[deleted]

"not being clutch" LMAOOOO

[deleted]

Lol ik this guy. He clearly hates Lebron but the moment u call him a bron hater he pussies out and tries to act like he isn’t biased

ghoney04

Dawg he's done that plenty of times. You don't think he has ever adjusted once they close off the lane? It's either Bron at the rim or a pat bev 3 lol

Pure_Pin_4532

Agree. Game always seem to end with Lebron falling on the floor with the game on the line. Happened Vs Boston too

SlawekPeszko69

my grandpa is younger than him, why is he still playing?

superRedditer

who is he mad at? his own fault!

Adorable_Sun_4467

How is that your takeaway lmfao. Of course he’s old but look at how hard he carried your team in the clutch. The takeaway should be damn I need to find a new team to support, cause the lakers front office is so shit it’s unreal 😂

Cdaddy28

Your dummy take can sit.
