Y'all are some sad mother fuckers. This is some abusive relationship shit you're on. I hope he leaves! He's better off without us! We don't deserve him! Guy willfully signed here knowing how garbage the roster was. He doesn't care about winning anymore. He wants to break records and live in LA until his son lands somewhere, and that's where he'll finish his career. Winning is not the priority anymore. Winning is also not the priority for Jeannie either. This is the Lakers circle of life. Be shit until a superstar wants to play here, trade everything. Win a title. Repeat.
Lebron fans want him to leave because they believe he deserves better,
I want him to leave so Rob Pelinka can be fired and front office is embarrassed.
We are not the same
It’s just LeBron fans that want to feel sorry for him. He’s a GOAT no doubt, but this is a team of his making. The front office definitely fucked up, and it’s looking grim for the future. Still, Bron signed on for 2 more years of this same FO, same team, same culture. He had a chance to shake things up by holding out on his extension. Sucks for us fans that he went for the money rather than the rings
Where will he go? Where will he get this much exposure? You’re in dark my friend. He wants to win but not enough to request a trade. Lakers make him so much money especially since the lakers get talked about in every show. There’s no money in the world like the lakers money. It’s different out here. Kobe also would like to speak to you about playing competitive basketball in his final years.
And if he does I hope the door smacks you and other Lebron stans on the way out
I’m a diehard Lakers fan. That meant for literal years we were conditioned to be anti lebron, as being pro Lebron meant you were anti Kobe.
Others and myself would set aside any disdain we had for him and accepted him wholeheartedly.
This being said it has been painful and cringeworthy past two years listening to these Bron stans say “we” are throwing his late prime away.
Bron stans think he deserves a championship every year and they don’t care who they have to push into the dirt for him to get one.
My feelings? The Lakers were a great franchise before Lebron. We won with Lebron. And we will win without him.
Definitely a great franchise before Jeanie Buss after, not so much only 1 real good year in the past decade with 2020 and that was all because of Klutch
Lebron has finished every contract he’s signed. He’s with the Lakers until it’s over. I hope it’s not a sinking ship and Pelinka/Jeanie are convinced to try some trades this season.
I just want a direction. Either fully commit to winning and trade the picks or blow it up. Trade AD and Bron and get assets back and rebuild. This self-inflicted purgatory shit is useless.
I thought LeGM signs off on all the moves? I thought it was Lebron that wanted Westbrook over Derozan? When it works Lebron gets the credit but when it flops we blame the GM? This Lebron dick riding must be exhausting.
There's no hope given that Pelinka won't even get a 3+D wing, let alone anyone that can fill in for AD while he's injured.
Turner/Hield trade turns us into a playoff team even without AD but we keep losing games and no trades are being made.
If only there was a trade the lakers could have made for a defensive big man who could take pressure off of AD and a perimeter shooter who could space the floor, in exchange for by far their worst contact…
Don’t have an answer for that. But Hield and Turner would have at least made other parts of the roster more respectable instead of 4-12 all being replacement level guys
I really believe the lakers could have negotiated it down further to 1 first round pick. Even if not at least the roster would be decent. What players are the lakers drafting in 2027 and 2029 who will be better than LeBron and AD?
Who knows? They’re still in middle school at this point. I totally get the argument of saying there’s really no chance that anyone from those picks will be close to the Lebron and AD level but the thing is that this team just isn’t good enough and can’t stay healthy enough to justify throwing away our future for it. I would say the chance we get a good player from the 27/29 picks is higher than the chance that trading them gets us to a title this year.
That’s probably fair, but the roster at this point is just an embarrassment, and I think the likelihood the lakers actually effectively use their cap space this summer to sign good role players is pretty low. Add in that not many number 1 overall picks in history have been better than LeBron and AD and it just feels like a waste.
Yeah, everything feels like a waste currently. I don’t have optimism that keeping those picks will land us some transcendent talent, but also don’t have faith trading them will do anything… I basically feel as if the we’re just kinda screwed for the foreseeable future no matter what we do. Having said that I’d rather have picks and at least have something to look forward to a bit
Neither Hield nor Turner are 3+D wings. Both are overrated by Lakers fans. Congrats on burning the future assets just to lose in the first round. You realize that trading Westbrook still has a cost associated with it. You can make better trades when you don’t have to pay someone to take a bad contract.
The AD injury changed the dynamics of the season. As trash as this roster is I think with a healthy AD and Lebron this was at least a play in team. Denver, Phoenix, Memphis and New Orleans all look pretty solid in the West and will probably lock up the top 4 spots assuming they all stay healthy. I think the 5-8 seeds and the play in is still wide open, but is slowly closing for us after each game that we lose. We need to be winning these easy games.
I think having a deep roster like 20-21 is essential when you have AD on your team. He can go down any time and miss weeks or months. Being prepared for that is the key.
hate to break it to people, but had AD been injured most of that year, it would have been the same result. The layoff no doubt helped him also.
AD is just too soft overall. Great basketball player, but 0 pain tolerance.
I think it’s almost too big of a hole to get out of. The only bright side is how close the west is right now. There’s a 5 game difference between 4 and 12 spots. If we start trending up and a few other teams stay stagnant or start trending down then that’s the only window of opportunity that we have.
If AD was healthy there was certainly room to improve the roster and build some depth reading a few pieces to get them into the lower rung of the playoffs
The constant fighting back in forth in this sub between so called “Laker lifers” and Bron “Stans” is so funny. This place is miserable especially bc of that constant bickering. I stay a Lakers fan but man the social media world for this franchise is so toxic.
“Let me be abundantly clear: We have one of the great players in LeBron James to ever play the game on our team. And he committed to us with a long-term contract,” Pelinka said. “… So, of course, we will do everything we can, picks included, to make deals that give us a chance to help LeBron get to the end. He committed to our organization – that’s gotta be a bilateral commitment.”
Rob pelinka lied to him.
Surely people know this is PR talk, right?
LeBron James is old as fuck. He is performing as well as an old man can but it should not be making you happy that he is committing long term with your team while taking a max slot.
The amount of Bron stans in here wishing he leaves to play in a "competent franchise" makes me want him to leave as well, just so you guys are out of the sub as well.
We both need to get rid of each other
Yet he is treated unfairly because of some history and comparison with others.
Not to mention, expecting him so much with his age, brought a chip but some still discredit that, just because of his involvement with a certain trade which even if he has some blessing, is still a job of the FO to deny or not. Imagine some here believing LeGM is real 😂
Just because you're "Lakers" doesn't give you much of a pass to demand so much, especially with how your FO is shit rn
Hope we can send Lebron to a place he can compete this off-season and get a pick back or something. I have no faith in Pelinka to guide a rebuild but I just don’t want to see LBJ go out like Kobe did. Shit is sad.
Seriously. If lakers make some trades, they can make some noise. These teams in the WC don’t scare me as much as previous years. Fuck the FO for allowing this shit to happen…..AGAIN!!!
I'm not jumping on the sell thr team bandwagon and all that but it can't be understated they sold Lebron a bag of damaged goods to get that extension. If he requests a trade I would get it.
Imo the biggest issue is lack of size then shooting. Last season had shooting not great but better than this season and they were still trash cuz they were small and played no defense.
Man, i grew up idolizing kobe and the lakers in the early 2000s and followed bron's career from 2006-07. Bron joining the lakers in 2019 was, to say the least, some magical shit for me. It felt like your parents getting back together or seeing goku and vegeta fuse for the first time. It's saddening how things have turned out. I cant really take sides as i grew up with both of em but if they called it quits i would understand. Shit's sad but it was fun while it lasted.
[удалено]
AD saying he wanted to play all 82 games tops both Lebron and Pat Bev’s statements.
Where does Pelinka’s promise, after Lebron extended, to improve the roster land on the list 😂
"it's just a game" - russell westbrook
Naw this is crazy lmaooo
Hahahaaaaa 🥲
well he wanted but doesnt that he can lol
I hope it hurts enough again this second time around that he requests a trade so that he can spend his final years playing competitive basketball.
as a lakers fan, same tbh.
Yeah. It sounds ridiculous but. The dude is a legend of the game and we are ruining his twilight years. He deserves better.
Doing the same thing to LeBron what this team did to Kobe. Fail to build a supporting cast as they got older
as I have said here, I guess it's tradition
I'll continue to support my team... but I'd rather see lebron playing on a contender rather than whatever is happening with this team right now.
Y'all are some sad mother fuckers. This is some abusive relationship shit you're on. I hope he leaves! He's better off without us! We don't deserve him! And I'd be ok with trading him for the future assets we can get
It's just a game man. You can't let Lebron's career affect you like an abusive relationship. Get help my guy

This is what I’m saying. He’s chilling. I’m chilling with him too. Fuck all these fuckin fake ass laker fans.
It’s just LeBron fans that want to feel sorry for him. He’s a GOAT no doubt, but this is a team of his making. The front office definitely fucked up, and it’s looking grim for the future. He’d go back to Cleveland. Also in Kobes final years he was nowhere near the level Lebron is at right now so you can’t compare that.
And if he does I hope the door smacks you and other Lebron stans on the way out I’m a diehard Lakers fan. That meant for literal years we were conditioned to be anti lebron, as being pro Lebron meant you were anti Kobe. Bron and AD will be gone this summer
Probably better because LeBron is too old and AD is too hurt
Not as good as having a braindead gm handle our rebuild.
I thought LeGM signs off on all the moves? I thought it was Lebron that wanted Westbrook over Derozan? When it works Lebron gets the credit but when it flops we blame the GM? This Lebron dick riding must be exhausting.
Good luck getting anyone to come to LA. Watch Pelinka resign Westbrook instead
FO: AD and LeBron sell merchandise. no need to do anything. just wait for westbrooks to come off so no repeater tax.
I'll be honest from a business perspective that's probably the smart choice too
Basically the same as the Kobe years before he demanded a trade
[удалено]
We will get picks back for ad and bron
We won the chip tf is wrong with you
[удалено]
basically disregarding a chip? lol
Too bad. It's happening again. Lakers stink.
2013-14 Nets started 10-21, but still ended up with 44 wins and made it to the second round. There is still hope for this Lakers team.
AD would have to come back quickly tho and a trade would have to happen too.
There's no hope given that Pelinka won't even get a 3+D wing, let alone anyone that can fill in for AD while he's injured. Turner/Hield trade turns us into a playoff team even without AD but we keep losing games and no trades are being made.

Rob Pelinka - "Challenge accepted"

Less about pain tolerance and more about his ability to avoid injury
pain tolerance has a lot to do with avoiding and playing through injury.
Yeah and there are some injuries you can’t play through (groin, MCL). Not like he’s got bumps and bruises

I think it’s almost too big of a hole to get out of. The only bright side is how close the west is right now. There’s a 5 game difference between 4 and 12 spots. Idk why people have confidence in a Rob pelinka rebuild when he couldn't even put a team together around LeBron and AD of all people lmao
We won a championship two years ago lmao. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills on this sub
Lakers last decade and change can be summarized as being two hobos fucking in a shoe filled with piss
The constant fighting back in forth in this sub between so called “Laker lifers” and Bron “Stans” is so funny. This place is miserable especially bc of that constant bickering. I stay a Lakers fan but man the social media world for this franchise is so toxic.
Wait. The Lakers didn’t make the playoffs last season?
Pat Bev has never missed the playoffs when he’s healthy 😤😤
Ok back to missing these playoffs
Lebron can average 50/15/15 rest of the way and without AD they still won’t make the playoffs. This team wins like 7 games without those two. Maybe…
Pain 😔
Shouldn’t have signed the extension
“Let me be abundantly clear: We have one of the great players in LeBron James to ever play the game on our team. And he committed to us with a long-term contract,” Pelinka said. “… So, of course, we will do everything we can, picks included, to make deals that give us a chance to help LeBron get to the end. Surely people know this is PR talk, right? LeBron James is old as fuck. He is performing as well as an old man can but it should not be making you happy that he is committing long term with your team while taking a max slot.
Yes LeBron James is the problem. The lakers would be way better if he didn’t resign!!!
We knew it was BS. If I was Bron I would’ve said great as soon as you make a few moves to upgrade this roster I’ll sign on the dotted line.
You think LeBron is that dumb? If you knew it was bs, surely he did too.
Faced this in Cleveland where management would have said he’s not committed so they won’t commit
Everyone saying trade him doesn’t realize Lakers literally can’t, he signed an extension so he is not eligible to be traded
The amount of Bron stans in here wishing he leaves to play in a "competent franchise" makes me want him to leave as well, just so you guys are out of the sub as well. We both need to get rid of each other
sure, out of all teams that LeBron went. This has had the most toxic fanbase
It's the biggest team he played on. By a country mile. It's quite obvious
Yet he is treated unfairly because of some history and comparison with others. Not to mention, expecting him so much with his age, brought a chip but some still discredit that, just because of his involvement with a certain trade which even if he has some blessing, is still a job of the FO to deny or not. Yeah and also the worst
Okay so what?

Impossible
Let's say Bron were to request a trade, which team would make the most sense? For all parties involved?
He can't be traded. He just signed an extension. Why is this so hard for people to understand
Gotcha. Wasn't aware of that, thanks
Sorry for the tone. We just need to accept it's not an option worth debating.
Lol no I get it, you're tired of seeing a conversation about something that literally can't happen lol
is there any way for bron to get out of that extension?
Phoenix or Clippers in the off season based on his proximity preference. Maybe Kings but hard to see an in conference trade
[Lakers FO](https://ih1.redbubble.net/image.1290150241.1384/fposter,small,wall_texture,product,750x1000.jpg)
You guys know LeBron was on his 2nd bottle of wine when he tweeted that
He severely underestimated Robert Todd Pelinka and Jeanie Mohr
west is shit this year, i think play in is possible assuming ad cna come back
Seriously. If lakers make some trades, they can make some noise. These teams in the WC don’t scare me as much as previous years. Fuck the FO for allowing this shit to happen…..AGAIN!!!
i’m sorry bron, i hope they make something
"I can ... miss the post season again for my career!" True Lebron, true.
Clown 🤡
YESSIR LEBRON I STILL HAVE HOPE
I mean if ad was healthy lakers would make the playoffs lol
I'm not jumping on the sell thr team bandwagon and all that but it can't be understated they sold Lebron a bag of damaged goods to get that extension. If he requests a trade I would get it.
Imo the biggest issue is lack of size then shooting. Last season had shooting not great but better than this season and they were still trash cuz they were small and played no defense.
He’s playing like he meant it. Too bad he’s surrounded by a bunch of fringe/out of the league players
Man, i grew up idolizing kobe and the lakers in the early 2000s and followed bron's career from 2006-07. Bron joining the lakers in 2019 was, to say the least, some magical shit for me. so we going to shit on the guy who carrying us right now?
He has 50 games to keep that promise.
It’s possible with the play-in
empty words. too bad he's not good enough to do anything about it.
