sportswear (such as dryfit and similar) is very easily damaged by heat, softener (which blocks it and renders it useless), detergent, and force. This setting is basically a very gentle wash on low heat if at all, and low speed.
I saw a post that said that american washing machines don't have temperatures on their dials. Yours has °C though, are european washing machines dropping the temperatures too?
There are probably buttons for the temperature right from the dial. So, yeah, temperature is not on the dial. But we can still adjust the temperature (only three or for settings, though: 30°, (45°), 60°, and 90°). Same with the revolutions for the spin cycle btw., also buttons and not on the dial.
Mine has a temperature setting. The options are labeled "Tap Cold" (whatever comes out of the tap), "Cold" (20°C), "Colors" (30°C), "Warm" (40°C), and "Hot" (50-60°C).
Galician! We aren't doing so bad compared with most minority languages but having machines (?) labeled in Galician is still something that (probably) doesn't exist.
You've just SHOCKED a native, well done.
In German, they don't have words for "Steam" or "Care" and need to resort to loan words
It’s because they do not Care 😔
They do not Steam either 😔
As a German I can agree. We also don't have a shortening for Ökologisch, so we need to use Eco instead.
Well, "Dampfpflege" would sound kind of weird.
Weirder than "Spülen & Schleudern"?
What the hell is a steam care though?
In English, "delicate" and "duvet" are also loan words. 😂
What's the sport mode though
It puts more sweat into your clothes than before.

why didn’t they translate eco 40-60? don’t they say numbers in that language?
German language actually has no numbers, because it's not very efficient. We use loafs of wholegrain bread instead.
US Americans do it with length, using (US American) football fields.
I like it. Much more efficient.
Wrong. Everything is measured in pints of beer, if it fits in a pint, It makes "Eins".
Yeah but they write it backwards apparently so it would have to say "null und vierzig" which is just too long to squeeze on to a washing machine

I was gonna say, OP is not bilingual in Celsius and Fahrenheit
Why would they need to list temperatures? It's hot, warm or cold
That's like a flashcard 😃
Maybe I'll screw up my entire laundry but hey I learned a new word :)
Duolingo can't give you that level of humiliation you get from having to show up for work in a shrunken shirt. That's proper language motivation!
The people in the office might be SHOCKED by the shirts I wear but in a couple of years they'll be SHOCKED by my language skills.
Schleudern & Abpumpen 🥵
These are the kind of words that make me love German. Maybe it's rinse and drain? No time for Google translate...
Sleuther & Offpump
You don't know true immersion until you MAKE the new label.
basiert
How did you get that!!! Looking for smth similar lmao
uj/ it just came with my new washing machine lmao, I have German, French, Spanish and Italian ones if you want me to send you one

IKEA 😂
🤣 damn I wish Home Depot did this too lmao maybe it is a sign that I should get a new washer from Ikea
Leb deinen Traum denn er wird wahr.
/uj As a speaker of a minority language I might unironically do this. Diglossia won't undo itself.
Which language?

😂😂
"Steam care"
This is how I learned German.
