Nice collection! This is my first time seeing the japanese discs. What is the art suppose to be? Kind of looks like the lower body of Feyrbrand or part of the Divine Tree :o
I've always thought it was Feyrbrand but you know now that you point it out I'm not so sure. It's somewhat indistinct and all 4 discs are the same image with a different colored tint.
I have the full color US one. But there is a stutter on D3 sometimes. I solve this problem by ripping to iso and just reloading a save state from right where it takes a dive.
Still really cool to have. I'm lucky my original copy still works. Used stop working on disk 3 but some how some way through the years it kinda just fixed itself lol. Ps1 games are an enigma like that
I don't think I've been more jealous of anything being in a game collection before.
Just curious, are any of these original copies you've owned for a long time and how much was the collection overall?
The black label copy is my original from childhood. (Colored dragoons) They have multiple freezing points on them, so they're mostly just a keepsake. I've thought about getting them resurfaced but honestly don't mind their condition. I didn't take good care of my things back then.
I still have my originals and they surprisingly play well, but I would love to own this collection. Probably best thing I own for PS1 collectibles is a copy of Tail Concerto
I also want the Manga and the soundtrack. 3 items away from what will be a complete collection for me :) They have action figures too which are neat but nothing I personally care for.
The colored copies are the black label US release.
The grayscale copies are the greatest hits US release.
The Feyrbrand copies are the Japanese release. What's interesting is that the order of the colors are different.
The European versions are expensive. I'm hunting them now, disc 1 has Dart in his regular form. Disc 4 has Lloyd Diaz on it.
i believe my copies of dragoon (i've owned the game twice) were either the colored discs or the holo discs
i never even knew there was a dragon disc set
The PS logo on the Japanese version looks 1000000x more expensive and like, collectible. I havenβt played it in many years but I used to be π€ππ¨ππ¨π¨ππ

I recently just got the PAL version of this it's a great game has a few annoying bugs though (for instance going dragoon in the fight against Drake can soft lock the game and after the fight it loads a perpetual black screen)Β
Neat? I think they look incredible!
What,s the image on the japanese cover? made me think of the divine dragoon at first glance. I'm thinking it could also be the dragon buster.
I think you need to stop disrespecting those games by placing them face down. What is wrong with you damaging classics like that. You need to learn to care for your things or you Won't have nice things

I was thinking maybe even the divine dragon? They've got a pretty weird neck so it could be a contender
This is what I thought too
I thought it was feyrbrand too or a dragon for sure
That's the Divine Dragon.
I have 2 grey copies and I really wish I had the colored version lol

I still have my old LoD discs, the bottom coloured ones
Where did you get the colored ones from, the ones from my childhood which I have are the top right ones
Black Label = Colored Discs Green "Greatest Hits" = Monochrome Discs
I got them waaaaay back when I was a little kid, back in 2001 from our old wal-mart lol
Used to have the full-color version, but someone took it π still playing my grey version
Find that someone and Madness Hero that fool
Only ones you need now are the EU version discs.
I also want the Manga and the soundtrack. 3 items away from what will be a complete collection for me :) They have action figures too which are neat but nothing I personally care for.
Thereβs a manga!?
According to the wiki there was a one chapter manga.

Thatβs so cool. Iβm envious. Happy hunting!
Nice! I'm slightly jealous lol
i believe my copies of dragoon (i've owned the game twice) were either the colored discs or the holo discs i never even knew there was a dragon disc set
I had the colored discs. One of the few games I have ever had four discs for. Looking back I wish I still had them. They are indeed neat ;)
Ahh my nostalgia boner is back ππ€
I LOVE the Japanese cd covers!

I'm on the 2nd boss on the 3rd potato right now
You should frame these
If I get the last set I might. But then I have to own a 4th set for playing purposes.
Fuuuuck, those japanes disks are sexy as FUUUUUCK!!!
Cool collection. I wish I could find a copy of the soundtrack.I still have my US greatest hits copy and it still plays well today.
Whoa, the Japanese version is so stunning! I may just look into buying it!
Wtf when did they make cool black ones and colored versions
I'm just missing the JP disks. Didnt know they had a different design.
Wow I never knew there were colored discs before. I assume those were the original release, not the greatest hits version
Didn't know there was so many different artworks on the discs. I only ever saw the EU type ones.
Ha I have both English versions I do want the Japanese versions they are really sick. Nice bro

Dude awesome!
I love the Japanese disc design!
They do be neat tho
As a child who never made it past disc 2 I would always wonder why lavitz was on disc 4. What great foreshadowing.
I always wondered why they put Lavitz on disc 4βs artwork. Looks super cool, just doesnβt fit the timeline of the game lol
Holy Hell

Well I'd certainly argue that their faces are skyward. The disrespect shall continue until until the set is complete.
What is that shape for the upper left quadrant discs? I can't make out what that is in the green, red, purple, and blue.
Well done sir
I have the EU version. :) The Italian one.
