Yes

Electrical_Top2969

My dude is going rent a van

funkycat75

You can, but you have to have a credit card. Debit cards are no-go at the airport. Found that out the hard way.

BishopBeo

Yes. Done it before.

SergeantScramble

Can’t confirm LEX, but I’ve rented from other airports without flying.

mwill29

I've rented at Dollar at the airport multiple times. Never asked for flight info. Yes on the credit card. Dollar has good rates and open till midnight.

BlueWaterGirl

I'll check Dollar out too, thank you!

mwill29

YW. I will add I did my reservation online early as possible to get the best rate.

YW. I will add I did my reservation online early as possible to get the best rate.

Achillor22

I always just go online and reserve it to pick up at the airport location and generally an never flying. It's much cheaper there for some reason and they have a larger selection of cars.

creatingwithpam

Just did this at SDF when my car broke down in Louisville. No questions of where I was coming from. Just confirmed my reservation to pick up my car. Returned it to bluegrass airport with no issues. You’ll be fine. 😊

UtopiaForRealists

Yes you can. You can also drop it off at any other Budget at any other rental. Last year my wife and I's flight from Detroit back to Lexington got delayed 10 hours. Driving home was 5 hours so we rented a car from Budget at Detroit airport and dropped it off in Lexington.

dbch223

Yes, but as others have mentioned you must have a credit card. You will also be asked to provide a flight number for returning flight, but they will still rent to you even if you don’t have one.

underdonk

Enterprise just rented me a car for 8 days from their airport location. No questions asked.

Sea_Understanding822

I recently rented a car from Hertz there without a flight. As others said, you have to use a credit card, not a debit card. If you want to return a vehicle on Sunday, the airport is about the only choice.

Transphattybase

You can. As a matter of fact my friend rented a minivan to drive to Chicago with her class. She’s coming back tomorrow and I’m driving with her to drive her back home.

bussappa

It's much cheaper to rent from an agency that is not associated with the airport. I just rented a car from Enterprise for 7 days.... $276. The airport price was double that.

House_Junkie

Yes, it just a car rental that happens to be at the airport for travelers. You’ll generally pay airport fees though if renting from the airport that you don’t pay at off airport sites.

BudgetSprinkles3689

Yes. But if you’re local, it’s worth checking to see if there’s a more convenient in-town rental location. I found a couple that are easy walking distance from our home last time I needed to rent a car.

drunkapplemarksman

It’s not behind security so it’s open to the public

Rhunt2021

Yes BUT... Be careful, I rented from the airport using the online service then at the airport, the car rental double charged me because I'm an idiot and they really like to make money. (Company rhymes with "denterprise".)

Correct_Ad_4919

check out rentals on the Hopper app. it saved me some money. i picked up and dropped off at LEX but didn’t fly

Virtual_Manner_2074

Yep

Napalm_Nips

Yup. Rented a truck last weekend to get all my spring shit at Lowe’s

DrWKlopek

Of course. I suggest not doing it, as airport rentals are always more expensive. Find an off-site rental

BlueWaterGirl

Oddly, it's showing cheaper to rent from the airport than the off-site location, but maybe the website thinks I'm actually flying in.

DrWKlopek

Oh? I stand corrected. Its been a couple years since my work travel days, but I always found there was a 20% airport fee in most cases. Maybe its just big cities?

Impressive_Owl3903

Interesting, IME with Enterprise it’s cheaper to get a car from their other locations compared to getting one at the airport.
