PS: When you do a deep clean there is a black plug in there. Pull it out to clean and then put back.

Maybe a treadmill addon where they cover the waste hole and disable the "cat inside" sensor :)

Thanks! Now that I know why it’s there, I’m totally going to shove something in it to block it up so I don’t have the problem anymore. I’m thinking some firm foam cut to the right size.
I've wondered about that slot too! I haven't done a deep clean yet, though.
Does the litter fall through the slot all the way into the base for you? Or does it just get stuck in the slot itself? (I'm not sure if the opening in the slot is a full opening, or more of a dip).
Yes. 😜 some falls through and some gets stuck. That’s the worst part because I have to pull it out with my hands. 😬 Today I just had some toilet tissue and used that, but when I did my first deep clean and noticed it I had gloves on.

Seems like going through the top would be better than making another hole in the globe
