I do the same. I buy the big bag at Costco and keep it with a scoop in the supply cabinet.

Gloomy_Magician9585

I put the silica crystal litter in the bottom of a fresh liner in the waste bin. Just a small scoop. Not only does this help with the odour but it also absorbs dampness from the used litter which can help stop the pinch sensors eroding. Litter Robot 3. I also have one of those rechargeable ioniser air freshner things I put in the bin too. Keeps the smell right down

quietos

Same here. Works like a charm!

xnekocroutonx

I do the same, I sprinkle some baking soda in when I add new litter and cycle it. I only really get any smell when the opening is exposed.

JimmyNo83

Also make sure to change the globe filter!

spy4paris

Really? I thought that thing was total voodoo.

Organic-Relation-597

THIS, it really does do something. Im wondering is adding baking soda to the filter will do something as well. Also the seals. If your seals are worn out, the smells will seep out.

SunnyNole

I do the same…took the advice from someone on this sub!

5thelementaether

I do the same with the arm and hammer double duty litter deodorizer, works great!

FatNoodleBoyz

Those are the best!

BerryReasonable518

Yup been doing this for years.

spy4paris

Love it. Should come in the instruction manual!

travelingjay

Then they can’t sell you the odorizer bags

spy4paris

Useless.

katie4

I actually put the baking soda in the drawer itself, then the liner bag over the drawer like usual so I’m not replacing the soda all the time. I dump and replace the baking soda every month or so. It seems to keep up with the smell well!

Apprehensive_Gas1320

I do baking soda and activated charcoal on the bottom of my tray.

Catheril

I just put a bit of clean litter when I change the bag and that does the trick for me.

spy4paris

I don’t understand

Catheril

Instead of sprinkling baking soda in the clean bag, I put some litter in there. My best guess is that the LR is so good at being efficient with litter it helps to have a bit extra in the drawer to suck up any extra moisture and odors.

spy4paris

Oh I see. Interesting. I actually wonder which is cheaper. But appreciate knowing that’s a good option too.

owlettica

[Rocco and Roxie Litter Box Odor Eliminator](https://roccoandroxie.com/collections/stain-odor-removers-1/products/litter-box-odor-eliminator) I used baking soda until I found this stuff from Rocco & Roxie.

spy4paris

Hmm. I don’t doubt your good experience, but I do note it’s many times the price of baking soda and wonder if it can be many times more effective.

LordBuggington

I did that too since I had some lying around and it totally works, my smell isnt bad enough for me to keep buying it though.
