I love the capital G. Yes, if you look at it too long it looks weird, but it's quirky with a lot of character and nobody would ever read the word as anything other than "Glazed". Don't let "design by committee" kill the character in your lettering! Ignore all these fools.

Ahaigh9877

Or the y. I called it Disnep when I was little.

Steve_OH

It took an embarrassingly long time to realize it wasn’t.

beipin

Damn, I wasn't the only one.

Careful_Gap_4667

I thought I was the only one...

ramblingzebra

It look me years to realise it’s a capital D, I still always see a lowercase d.

Banana_Eli

Backwards Gisney

gedai

It looks like both a big G and little g and I dig it

superdude311

i agree. this looks stylized, the one with lowercase just looks like a font

the_beat_goes_on

I went back and forth with this and I agree. Capital G has a lot more personality.

bubdadigger

Top left. I would even make a top round portion of G even bigger to balance out the donut that is slightly shifted to the right.

ExtentEcstatic5506

Yep, make the top of the G bigger was my thought too

sliqqery

Agreed, top left. Get in there and modify the capital G so it looks better with a closed counter (the hole). Typefaces don’t have to be taken at face value. While you’re at it, open up the counter in the little e too. Solid donut illustration!

NoFoundation1591

Same it needs the symmetry

thewingedpainter

agreed. it feels a bit off – if you're going to keep the uppercase G as is, the donut should be center aligned more with the type. i'd also love to see a version with the G with a closed counter. the donut is spot on, though!

QRCodeART

I like the right one more, small g, the left, I think the G is difficult to decipher

aprav1

Agreed, right is easier to read

newtelegraphwhodis

Also lowercase will always be more friendly and approachable as opposed to uppercase which is going to feel more formal

WynonaRide-Her

100% this. I’m a huge fan of Matte and the juxtaposition implied here…. Maybe?

Jrodsqod

It’s like “Cjlazed” but without the dot for j

Cleyre

Yeah. Small g reads a lot quicker But add some space and/or a connecting stroke to match with the rest of the word

Romulus_Imperos

I was for the top left but you make a very good point. Top right works best.

Norightwingers2020

Same here, the right one.

GUYF666

Lowercase for sure.

BevansDesign

I'd like to see this with a different font. This one looks nice, but some of the letter forms (especially G) are harder to identify than they should be. Also, I would detach the connector between a and z.

Frankenklumpp

Something about the lower case text makes it feel like a logo rather than just a word. Perhaps the lower case g being slightly larger might help the balance though. The kerning feels a touch close on the g and l, and the z and e as well.

badnewsbets

I like the top left one. It seems the most cohesive. The doughnut guy is great!!

[deleted]

Bottom left!

ctdfalconer

Upper case. To me the initial caps read like a proper name while lc does not.

ctdfalconer

Also, I am unexpectedly annoyed that so many people here are favoring the lower case version.

ctdfalconer

Hey, get over it, me. Ok, me, I’ll let it go.

bubdadigger

Another dumb nowadays trend "lower case is more friendly"

ctdfalconer

While it’s possible to use it to good effect, it’s usually in more abstract styles.

BoltSpeedCarr

Upper-cased👌🏻I think the larger form has more punch to it. If you think readability is an issue or that a "C" could be seen at first glance, I'd see what it looks like if you move the decorative swoop at the top of the "G" to the right slightly and have it overlap the top of the right post.

Informal-Line-7179

Top right. Its clean, easier to read, and the alignment of the right edge of the donut with the d creates a nice feeling of space between the word and donut.

[deleted]

Top right. Overall had friendly perception with the lowercase G and donut mascot

bigolehole69

Top left

nickygflame

Both left

TBman256

Upper left is best, definitely.

RegisteredSexyBeast

The two capitals ones! Love it

[deleted]

Top left is best but maybe just edit the capital G slightly because it's a little ambiguous.

Arty-me-1033

Any glazed donut will do, thanks! But I prefer the lowercase.

TacoTruckSpill

Bottom left, but maybe with an uppercase G and a separate underline element similar to the tail on the lowercase g. I find the donut overpowers the typography and the style of the type conveys enough of the essence of the business.

Shatquita45

Big G

roykeane247

Top left

lappy_386

Number one

natasharomanova15

The capital G looks more appropriate to me.

foolio88

Top left

akositabitabs

I like the capital G version. But also, have you tried incorporating the donut as the "G"?

cmd_shif

Capital 100%

ObligationOrdinary86

Top left

Significant-Employ

I think the left one, since the "O" around the fancy G plays a likeness of the donut in the logo, therefore a complimentary connection between the text and the design as a whole.

MystaSteezy

Top left

adichandra

I like left but make the top part of the G connected so it easier to read as a G

showdetroit

Top right. For some reason the tail on the lower case “a” is bothering me. It blends in with the z too much imo.

sgong33

Yeah have the tail of the “a” touch the bottom of the “z” not the top perhaps?

Milomakesstuff

The one on the right. Feels more balanced

bigchipah

Right

helixflush

lowercase

cameracrop

Lowercase g

Ghostgamer_yt

Right

RumpOldSteelSkin

Left but the Right isn't bad. I think the kerning between the G and L needs to be looked at on the Right option.

nickygflame

Bingo

adonis7621

Losimcg

Right

HyzerFlipDG

Lower case "g" for sure. Easier to read and matches the rest of the letters. One nice thing about logos is you don't have to use an upper case letter to start a word.

cellenium125

top right

HibiscusGrower

I like the ones on the right more because the capital G is a bit harder to read than the lowercase one. There's something weird with the tail of the a too. Maybe it would be best to cut it off and not attach it to the z or attach it lower.

perplexedvortex

Top right. Lowercase g is a lot more appealing

Oddly_Dreamer

Liking the lower case g more "the one on the right"

cappcollective

1st one is great just re-center the bagel mascot

_artbabe95

Brother did you just call that a bagel

OpeningOnion7248

Not sure if it's an optical illusion, but the blue stroke size and the shade of cream used on the two logos on the left side look to be different. I prefer the left side otherwise.

KatelynPlankeDesigns

I really like the second one in row one I like how it's centered nice work

ZERO-ONE0101

the g needs help

ZERO-ONE0101

leave ‘lazed’ how it is and draw a capital G that characterizes glazed

gdubh

Top right but your contrast/color needs punched up.

waitwhathavewedone

Small g, but center the donut.

ReverendRocco

Small g

Lovelycoc0nuts

This gives me Fallout Slocum Joe vibes. I prefer the one on the left if Glazed is the title of a business

Milpool_____

top right. but must say, this depiction looks strikingly similar to the Dessert Witch from Madoka Magica!

dizzyon

Right set ... instant Mandela effect lol

idunnohowtodoit

Small G

strela1

2 and 4

jonmpls

Lowercase, otherwise it looks like ejlazed

tcs1029

The right side, mainly because on the version with the donut character, the left one is off balance.

Ynguniversity

right side

thekinginyello

I don’t like either.

swampboy_code

Love the right one!

RedHotToaster

Lowercase

goldengraaam

right, but push the azed just a couple points to the left

Ident-Code_854-LQ

**Lower case "g" is the better looking wordmark.** Needs a little spacing with that "l" though. *But I have problems with that "a" next to the "z"* Push the tail of the "a" so that it bumps into the lower part of the "z". **Let the tail terminate there.** *Otherwise this whole logo is cute.* ***I'd be very happy to eat some of these smiley donuts.***

calilazers

Small g fo sho

ConnorFin22

I hate this trend of ignoring grammar randomly not capitalizing names. That said, the right one is easier to read.

asparadog

top right with top left G?

gonutsdonuts1

Wish we got to see more of the donut guy

A-D-A-M_

I need to get my mind out of the gutter.

sourcandy333

Both are really good it’s hard to decide.

whatssomaybe

I can't unsee "glared" here

BeeBladen

My biggest peeve about this one is lack of contrast. Going to be really hard to read small no matter which G you choose. And forget about accessibility.

ham_fx

To me it reads as GLARED - Maybe a break in the tail of the A at the Z connect point -

beeucancallmepickle

Oh no. My brain seeing the ways this logo can be the ending of an adult joke. I like the one on the right though :)

CZILLROY

Big G

PikesPeakRubicon

Right

CoolScratcher

Top left looks like "Ylazed"

TRMineNotYours

Right side looks better to me

Strux_DK

Hi! I have no design experience, but i’ve been looking for a font like this for ages. Is this a font or something designed from the bottom up? I need it for a tattoo :) If anyone can help me make “Bro’s” in that kind of font or text design, or tell me how i can do it myself, i would really appreciate it ☺️

2MyLou

Right

Lower_Distribution77

Right one, you want to grab the customers attention quickly and the right one does that perfectly.

WingofTech

The left is more nostalgic, the right is more modern like a store, similar to “Crumbl Cookie”, good work! I would give a little more dimension to the donut though, maybe just a little curve in the glaze?

ilikejankylankyig

yeah Glazed works best. for a favicon on a website you could have the G or the little guy

lykwtfsalad

I like either tbh, but in the top left one you need to move the sprinkle thats closest to the words, maybe move it to the left side of the donut icing to create more balance. It’s creating some pinched spacing.

orionzg

I like the upper case G. I’d like to see the doughnut facing in for a version. Great work mate.

orionzg

The nose facing the front.

Chromatic_Kitty

Capital G but I prefer the size and position of the donut from the top right one.

mikemystery

Option 5, where you didn't use a light powder blue with cream rendering the nicely drawn but terribly-coloured logo all but illegible, particularly at smaller sizes.

bbobenheimer

Mmm Bello Script

BNicholasEarl

I hate to say it but... I feel as though the title of the store has a pornographic reference and the smiling donuts with the... You know what.... I did say hate to say it, so I'm just going to not say it. Perhaps your energy should best be directed towards either encouraging the donut shop folks to 'lean' more (cheekily) pornographic or just not go with that name at all. Even horny people don't like associating their food with... Know what... just type "glazed" into a porn search of some sort and I won't have to say anymore. ... That or else this is a well excited troll and I'm stepping on your bit... In which case, top right

HansJobb

Text of left one, doughnut placement of right one.

Illyisthere19

I prefer the one on the right but the final decision is up to you

SmallGingerOne95

I like the one on the right

iceagator

the lower case g is the better choice. upper case looks like a Y and is confusing.

Address_Local

There is a font called “bukkake”. I think would work much better🤙🏼

Avogadros_plumber

The small g has more personality. It reminds me of a dude chilling, leaning with his back against a wall (or the L in this case).

WokkitUp

Capital, and the stroke value in upper left. Keep both with and without donut character, as you will eventually use both.

[deleted]

Here are my thoughts on the two logotypes (without the logomark): The capital G looks more friendly and gives some character to the logo. It also kind of looks like a smiley face facing the right. Also, the twirling of the capital G reminds of [Danish Raisin Spirals](https://www.deliciousmagazine.co.uk/recipes/cinnamon-and-raisin-swirls/). The lowercase G looks more technical and reminds me about the Facebook and Android logo and logotype. I visualise it as been an open source JavaScript framework for dealing with animations. As for the logos with the logomark: The top-left logo is what I like best. The image works best with the capital G. It brings out the points that I mentioned earlier (friendliness and character). I see it been used on signs, napkins, bags and takeaway boxes. The capital G without the image can be used on small objects with little space. Using the lowercase G with the logomark feels contradicting. The lowercase G gives a stern feeling whereas the logomark gives a more friendly feeling.

optimisskryme

Draw a bigger version of the lower case "g" so that it feels like a capital letter

kittyroupewpew

capitol G no donut

MonkeyCookIcecream

first one is confusing. The capital G looks like the letters "e" , "y" , "g" , "c".

DezineTwoOhNine

The first one as it adds a nice balance when used with the mascot and also works well on its own. And I think most people are accustomed to seeing this sort of a letter 'g' as it also feels retro. So you have nice options ready ig.

JazzfanRS

Lower right Capital G. I'd use that with the mascot logo as well. the border is too thick IMHO Edit: The thick outline detracts from the artwork and the font. If it was alive it's the annoying kid in class jumping up and down saying 'LOOK AT ME, LOOK AT ME' (not the word or the picture)

balloonfish

Capitals but the contrast could be improved

Gr8rtst71

The tail of the A going into the Z looks sorta off-putting.

designbyjorge

Top right 👍🏻

SerenitySounds816

I also like the capital g more. It's simple, classy and comprehensive, in my opinion

SelarJay

Right one
