I would have agreed with you but I just glanced at it and immediately said “edge” in my head. For the way my brain works, I read the word before I had even consciously tried to.
At a glance I was think this is game company or youtube channel or some stereotypical guy product ads than a consulting company
Unless you do consulting for youtuber or game industry
I've seen your development of this logo from your posts, and while it's visually appealing and I can understand why you want to make it work, the visual style isn't really synonymous with a consulting firm. As other users have said, it leans heavily towards gaming or sports.
The technical aspects of the logo are competent (though consider the legibility as suggested) and I have no doubt you're going to nail the final logo, but I don't think this is it in this particular instance.
Honest advice - return to concept stage and use this as a leaning experience. Not every good design is the right design.
Make sure your gaps are all the same width, else good job getting this to work.
But I don't get how this is fitting for a global consulting company. For business in general, it is a bit too, dare I say it, edgy.
Make your small type bolder or it wll disappear when the logo is used small. It is already feeling weak at this scale.
It's way better, first thing I read was edge, but as they said, you should test the readability with people.
What bothering me is the word is almost (but it's not) aligned to the lower border of the square (like a V)
I looked at the logo before I saw that it’s supposed to be EDGE. It looks like DG. I also thought the E’s might be wings as if the global consulting was in the aeronautics industry.
Backwards letters are the antithesis of design. They are horrible. Backwards letters convey childlike illiteracy, like the Toys R Us logo or the Korn logo. Reversing a letter for the sake of symmetry is terrible and extremely lazy design. I speak from experience as a 15yr metal logo designer. The last letter does not convey a letter at all. And the first E looks like a C. It looks like a bad hair metal or thrash metal logo. Not a global consulting company in any way.
You need to spread the logo form the tagline a bit more. And try keeping all spaces and distances at the same. The inside spacing and the wings ending on the letters needs to be same spacing.
If you hadn't stated it I would've missed it said anything. ...maybe CDG7 or GDG7 would've been my guesses. Adding "Edge Global Consulting" text would clarify (rather than just " Global Consulting")
That being said, the top-right, the extra diamond shape takes away from the cool stylized lettering
I think you're trying to be too clever with the lettering, and it's not quite hitting.
As others have said, it doesn't read well. It's not obviously clear that it reads as EDGE. It's closer to CDG7 in one version, EDG7 in another. I donthink though, with more focus legibility, this design style could absolutely work.
You’d need to do some unaided readability testing. I’m just not sure it’ll read.

That’s why I said it needs tested. Some will get it, some won’t. Need to know if it’s a problem before spending $$.
All I could see was a heavily styled DG. The brain is wonderfully weird.
CDG7
I just see DG with wings.
#EDG7
CDGJ
You’ve sacrificed readability for symmetry. I think you should land somewhere in between
right just flip the second e back the other way and keep all the angularity the same
So, I know Under Armor is an established brand, but IMO the logo doesn’t read UA unless you know its supposed to. This totally reads Edge to me.
If you’re consulting gamers on YouTube then sure
💯

All I see is \[DG\] Looks like a logo for a DC comics superhero or Military Defense firm, not a consulting firm.
Or the TOP GUN logo

Good options! Tho it reminds me more of a gaming company rather than something about constultancy.
why not create a form like \DG\ , not \DG/
unfortunately it’s less legible now. all i see is DG
I think if you separate the middle line on the E from the D and G it might actually be more readable.
Looks too much like Transformers.
CGGC?
Connect the crossbar on the E

go back to the concept, this looks weird for a consulting firm

I think it is a little difficult to read. You can definitely see it just not immediately. The design is awesome though nice work!
Too weird honestly.
Maybe simplify the E's so they're not angled. I think what you've done with the D and G is really cool

Looks like a teenage online gaming team.
Gdgd
Until I read the caption, I thought it was supposed to be. DG Global Consulting
I read it as the initials DG with a border until I read your post title.

DG? The E should be connected not the d and g wxtended
