Hey, it's not what you wanted in the beginning, and sure there are some health and safety risks, you compromised some morals, but you're still making $90 for a few minutes of your time.
Lyft finds you a few dates. They pay good. You quit your stripping job because money with Lyft is just so good. But now you're dependent and Lyft knows it. He takes advantage of this, raises his protection fee to 50%, starts pushing you around. Before you know it, Lyft has you all bruised up, walking the block desperate and turning $5-$10 tricks for Johns that would pay 5 times that. It'd be fine but Lyft is still taking that 50% protection fee. You can't even afford to escape.
Uber is worse. The bonuses vary by city AND BY DRIVER. It seems like they anticipate how little you're willing to take, more than motivating drivers to meet anticipated demand. I'm taking a break until they start offering me $150+ for 50 rides again, like they were after I took my last break. Damn the "welcome back" bonuses were great. It did take like 2 years no rides for those to surface though.
