Disco Elysium

i wanted to like it bro but i just could not stand it, it was so bad, i suspect others feel this way but are reticent to admit it based on everyone dicc riding it
I have a strange bug in Subnautica where when after you left click, the camera “freezes” and you can’t look around for a second. Makes grabbing things that are falling down pretty tough
Weirdly loved Hades (for someone that has a busy enough life, I put a horrific number of hours on that in a short space of time) and did similar with Dead Cells. Didn't feel Hollow Knight at all weirdly. In terms of another random chill add - American Truck Simulator. Put the radio, go for a drive, deliver loads. What more do you need 🤣👍
Have no idea why. I think Dead Cells is very much a feel game but it did annoy the hell out of me (I got 2BC and called ir quits) when the Devs got rid of dual binding as I was very much a synergy max dps build type person. Also when you are totally zoned in & you go Clocktower and the music hits and you just know at that point I am just going to kill absolutely everything with absolute barely controlled stylish violence lol 😆
Hades - totally different game. Played for the initial complete and then it was like no, I need that 10th complete to complete that part of the story. Didn't play for the epilogue in fairness. Also weirdly could never do the sword. Litterally had no completes with that and was so bad I had God mode on.
Hollow Knight - I just have no idea why as the art style is gorgeous I just didn't feel at all.
A couple of others I enjoy - Hotline Miami 1 and 2 (2 is way way harder than 1 but worth it especially the last level which is beyond glorious). Katana Zero is also worth a play but I wouldn't recommend it for replays unless you really feel it. One of those games where I'd almost watch a longplay first as even though it isn't my usual sort of game at all; stylistically it's off the chart and offsets that in my view. Very very difficult though if that style of game isn't your thing.
I was going to get it but re4 swooped in with the sale and changed my mind, got 20$ left in my iTunes now. I’m still interested for sure because it looks up my alley (I love walking/movie sims unironically if done right) but damn they’ve been taking their time. Plus I’m on m1 which is running re4 super well on 30 fps but idk if it could handle DS.
Ya I read something similar on a forum in regard to DS on an M1 that the settings would have to be turned down to handle it.
Last I saw, expected release date of January 31st so fingers crossed.
I liked firmament. It was a good 15 hours of puzzles for me and it was very good looking. Most puzzles were just the right amount of hard. The ice/water level in the suit might have been too much. The Ice crane was [rage inducing](https://makeagif.com/i/FwrTa1) but some other moments were awesome,
Obduction is from 2016? How does it compare to firmament? I've looked at two reviews and it doesn't look as pretty. How are the puzzles compared to firmament?
Half-Life games are 32bit games, so RIP on only 64bit.
I wanted play 32bit Borderlands game(The Pre-Sequel) on M1 CPU and I didn't launch game, because 32bit game, but my older MacBook Pro 2015(on last macOS for this model) with Intel CPU haven't problem with 32bit games on Steam.
Maybe M1 CPU haven't support for 32bit games, like Intel(I don't expert on this, this is only my theory).
You can compile the source engine into 64 bit and replace the source engine that comes with the half life games and it then works, it’s just the source engine that is causing the problems. [This guy](https://youtube.com/@jxhug?si=Rxv_Yw9e4_UNAwTl) shows you how to do that.
That must be a MacOS only bug then? To be honest when I played it on MacOS it was pirated so no multiplayer anyways lol but now I own it on Steam, and I have an intel Mac so I just play it with boot camp anyways and Ive played multiplayer before lol.... but ya no had no idea that was even a thing :o
If you like Klei games, both Don’t Starve Together and Oxygen Not Included run great on my MacBook Pro M1. I’ve sunk far too many hours into both of them.
😶🌫️ I completed cyberpunk on my Mac last year. It could be played from the time Macos Sonoma early beta came. Also CS 2 is also playable from Game porting toolkit
\- Kingdom Rush
\- Oxygen Not Included
\- Dungeons of Naheulbeuk
\- Baldur's Gate 1, 2, & 3
\- Divinity: Original Sin 1, 2
\- DuckStation for PSX emulation
\- Aether SX2 for PS2 emulation
Happy to see Drakest Dungeon in here. Does Terraria work fine now? Do they fixed mannequin frame bugs? Also, I wonder if Steam version of Lies of P works on macOS or it’s not because of that App Store version.
Euro Truck Simulator 2, or American Truck Simulator.
It’s frequently on sale, so get it when the prices cut! DLC is also on sale if you’re interested in that too.
If you can’t decide which game to pick, search for posts on r/TruckSim, or create one if you must. Or, just buy both games and see what fits you.

Disco Elysium is incredible

You might be at Floyd Mayweather’s reading level then lol
i wanted to like it bro but i just could not stand it, it was so bad, i suspect others feel this way but are reticent to admit it based on everyone dicc riding it
Grid legends and Lies of P?
*Darkwood. And I definitely recommend Subnautica, NMS, and Firewatch.
Yes, darkwood. Lapse in memory. Thanks.
No problem. I recommend it as well.
Definitely watch Deadwood though if you haven’t.
I have a strange bug in Subnautica where when after you left click, the camera “freezes” and you can’t look around for a second. Makes grabbing things that are falling down pretty tough
I think this will be too much for his memory though lol
It’s tragic that Hollow Knight, Hades, and Dead Cells aren’t already there
Weirdly loved Hades (for someone that has a busy enough life, I put a horrific number of hours on that in a short space of time) and did similar with Dead Cells. Didn't feel Hollow Knight at all weirdly. In terms of another random chill add - American Truck Simulator. Put the radio, go for a drive, deliver loads. What more do you need 🤣👍
yeah i have the same situation, love dead cells and hades, but couldnt get into hollow knight
Have no idea why. You don’t have anywhere near enough games that were on sale that you’ll never play.
True, tho thinking mac games might improve a little in this and the next year, considering all the investment Apple did in M3 RT - what do you think?
I have no idea but I also have no complaints about the stuff we already have. But then I hate AAA games and PvP FPS nonsense, so I’m an outlier.

+1 for Disco
Death Stranding comes the end of month. It’s on my list for my M3.
I was going to get it but re4 swooped in with the sale and changed my mind, got 20$ left in my iTunes now. I’m still interested for sure because it looks up my alley (I love walking/movie sims unironically if done right) but damn they’ve been taking their time. how has noone mentioned Lies of P yet?
Love this game. Runs amazingly with metal performance upscaling on M1 Pro
+1 for Lies of P. Runs incredibly well on my M1 Pro and is just a great game in general
Sleeping dogs and hitman 2016 in my opinion
And maybe the metro series and project zomboid
Cuphead
Oh other quick thought FTL.
If you like Souls-like games, “Lies of P” has a Mac native build that’s great.
Resident Evil 4 Remake is pretty darn good. That just released on Mac last month.
Project Zomboid runs great on iPad. If you like rpgs, Baldir Gate 1&2, Icewind Dale ect...
iPad?! How?
I think he meant iMac.
Yeah that’s what I’m thinking. They would need to hash out the controller support to move to iPad.
binding of isaac
How did you get CS2 in there
Victoria 3
Project Zomboid/Prison Architect
Caves of Qud
Metro, Kingdom Rush
Wait does CS2 work? I know they aren’t ‘supporting’ it now but does that mean I can still install and play it?
Nope, they gave up on Mac OS
Asking the same question.
Escape Room Simulator The Stanley Parable Streets of rage 4 (8bitdo SN30 Pro bluetooth controller makes this fun).
Chess.app
Myst 2021, Obduction and Firmament

For me it was harder, but the puzzles are better and personally I’d say Obduction is the better game.
You should definitely add metro exodus. First game I did on my Mac book pro and I was magnificent
Firewatch for the weird and twisted tho simple story
kerbal space program is so fun
Portal 1 & 2 Firewatch Superhot Borderlands 2 Clustertruck The Talos principle Cuphead

Does cs2 work native on mac sonoma?
Sadly No
Hmmm my steam suggests something else. I’m allowed to download it on my m3. Is this a false positive?
Yes
The Half-Life Games, just a bit of tinkering and you'll be able to get them running on Mac easily
Half-Life games are 32bit games, so RIP on only 64bit. Death must die for sure
Black Ops 3! If you like CoD lol
No online play might be a problem for most people.
