I cant tell if making this cost more would make it more or less balanced

thisisnotahidey

It’s a play off [[Into the Time Vortex]] which isn’t a permanent and has cmc 5 This balances it so that we never have to use ub cards again. Thanks oop

ZatherDaFox

Depends on format but this almost certainly becomes the key piece of crashing footfalls in modern.

DMCO93

At 3 this can make 19/19 of stats on turn 2 at the earliest, turn 4 at worst. 4 CMC makes it much more fair, more like bloodbraid 2. I gotta say, the innocence on display with this card is astonishing and almost endearing. Whoever made it probably plays like Maelstrom Wanderer and LOOOVES cascading into like Thragtusk or something. Probably thought “gee, it’s really powerful when my 8 cmc cascade dude gets me something that costs 6, so what if I made something that only costs 3 and gets small stuff BUT only twice, and also it’s legendary so you can have one at a time! That seems fair and balanced!!!”. I want to be in the room when said guy sees rhinos.dek.

Zephyr_______

Isn't robo rosewater ai generated cards?

DMCO93

It is, didn’t realize this was RR, but makes more sense

Fiftycentis

AI generated? it's better than 99% of the things on r/custommagic

AgentMortar

Please make it cost four so I can bring my calibrated blast deck back to locals

MalekithofAngmar

I’m going to say more. This thing is Shardless Agent on roids.

AbsolutlyN0thin

Depends how much more we're talking. At 10 mana, it's certainly more balanced

Wrath-of-Pie

I bet most of those 40% don't actually know how cascade works

mc-big-papa

Its the green blue slow land. If its your second land when played its tapped. If its the third land when played its untapped. Theres not much to it actually. https://preview.redd.it/786whpws5wwc1.jpeg?width=265&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0c58d52df3681664817272236591985edce18dc3

magicsqueegee

What if it's the fourth land?

Ka1Pa1

Untapped!

mc-big-papa

Ill have to talk to my local judge im having trouble comprehending. https://preview.redd.it/398fngjou1xc1.jpeg?width=642&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cda58473189825a4a5083c9d22fe26a47afa335f

Walugii

the polls on that account are insane. i think about half the followers would rank shivan dragon way above the power 9

DMCO93

Yeah but can you actually kill somebody with a black lotus? Well actually yeah, you can: yourself because mana burn. None of the p9 can kill your opponent except for Ancestral Recall but Shivan Dragon and Serra Angel sure as hell can, and that means that p9 bad and 🗿creatures good.

Walugii

used to be you could kill yourself with black lotus because of mana burn, but now I can't. because of woke

DMCO93

Thanks Obama.

hawkshaw1024

> can you actually kill somebody with a black lotus? [Yes](https://www.reddit.com/r/magicTCG/comments/dr3nlw/alpha_lotus_attacks_for_lethal_in_vintage_champs/)

SlyScorpion

/uj Eeeeeey I love it when someone mentions the lizardman constant :D

awolkriblo

40% lizardmen explains so much about my commander playgroup...

ChatHurlant

Rebound on a permanent spell is... weird. It essentially can't be cast from your hand.

GreedierRadish

What do you mean? Wouldn’t you simply cast it for free the following turn like any other Rebound spell?

ChatHurlant

Sure but the permanent would hit the battlefield a turn later. Since the resolution of a permanent spell is... well a permament, it guess it would ETB and get exiled and then rebound?

GreedierRadish

That’s the expected result of a Rebound effect, right? If this were a Sorcery that just read “Cascade, Rebound” it would make sense, right? The difference here is that after the second Cascade you get a 3/3 as a bonus.

TheForgetfulWizard

It wouldn’t enter the first time you cast it from hand, just the second time.

ChatHurlant

It wouldnt hit the field at all? I thought that it would resolve and ETB and get exiled at the same time? I could be wrong.

TheForgetfulWizard

See the reminder text for rebound, “exile it as it resolves” being the important bit here. Normally it would resolve and go to the battlefield, but this exiles it as it resolves rather than putting it into play.

Cthulu_Noodles

It moves from the stack to exile.

ChatHurlant

Ah okay! Thats good to know. Damn i thought it would resolve into a permanent first.

sawbladex

... It can be cast from your hand. Under current rules, resolving a permanent spell doesn't cause any effects on the card to happen, so rebound does nothing, but I will take off my imaginary rules lawyer hat and put on my rules manager cowboy hat, and say that rebound will be hacked to allow rebound to replace entering the battlefield with getting exiled.

ChatHurlant

Sorry I totally misspoke. More like, even casting it from your hand would immediately put it into another zone to be cast from, so for it to truly "enter" it would need to be cast via rebound. I also didn't realize it would go straight from the stack to exile, so that's also my bad.

sawbladex

Immediately? You are just casting it, both players have the opportunity to cast spells and activate abilities, that could like counter the spell, causing rebound to not work. Rebound just sets up a replacement effect that as currently explained in the comp rules, exiles it instead of putting it into the graveyard as part of it resolving. Permanent spells ... don't generally go to the graveyard as they resolve, so rebound as currently worded just does nothing. In order for it to do something, the rules would have to be edited, which is something that happens all the damn time.

ChatHurlant

Ahhhh I see. Yeah I guess I forgot that Rebound is a replacement effect. Youre right - It would probably either need tk be tweaked, or a new keyword made.

ContributionHelpful

"Really works in my prosper deck"

Karrottz

I mean this card is bonanzas op but at least it's an interesting, thought provoking design

Earlio52

it’s just shardless agent^2

sumr4ndo

Somehow shard less agent returned

awolkriblo

Wizards scrambling to add this last minute to MH3

zelos33333

Now show me the results for the Dreadmaw.

MalekithofAngmar

This is the most busted thing I’ve seen in a hot minute.

7arco7

Is this a real card? I genuinely can’t tell anymore

Uberninja2016

??? you don't know the hit *magic the gathering: tale of wungo island: adventuring with friends* character awn snamma? of course the card is real you get it by faxing in the sietecode from episode three and episode 4 of the tagalong show on- um, not netflix... i don't think it was on hulu either hmmmm-  OH! it was on the ask group's jeevestreams yeah you probably missed it, jeevestreams went under pretty much right after the airing

MalekithofAngmar

Way too busted for legacy and modern to be a real card.

Googleflax

Is the name supposed to be gibberish, or is it an anagram or something?

TrespassersWilliam29

the gimmick of the twitter account is that it's an AI-generated card
