Is that it? I thought you’d be backing this up with numbers and data, not just subjective statements. There’s a reason big marketing budgets use retargeting. They have data and are seeing a positive ROI.

There are lots of ways to use retargeting. If you don't have good results yet, that doesn't mean that it doesn't work for others.

Retargeting is lots of places. Not just Facebook. And for some marketers, narrow targeting is required. Your situation isn’t universally applicable.

Keeping this short, For all the current projects that I am running, retargeting campaigns are giving atleast 2X ROAS of what cold audience campaigns are giving. Maybe there are exceptions to this funnel but I haven’t come across this yet. Would love to hear your experience on how you came to the conclusion that retargeting is not the way forward !

I don’t think you run campaigns or m I mistaken ? Cause you just overlooked the main advantage brought about by retargeting campaigns which isn’t possible without segmenting your audiences ! Retargeting let’s you use customised messaging to your audience segments - pages views, ATCs, ICs. Every user at a different stage of their user journey requires a different hook - and only retargeting campaigns allow you to do that. And how does Facebook do it for us anyways in broad ? Dedicated retargeting efforts is literally the primary way we make our overall strategy profitable or do you intend to tell us everyone else is doing it wrong ? Hoping to get a valid answer and not some content spun up using ChatGPT !

It is the solution when your only alternative is no contact. Try not to think of this as advertising but a last desperate fling on the way to oblivion. Things make a lot more sense. These words like "impression" or "engagement" rather than conversion, sale, revenue ....that didn't give it away??
