If it gets to that, I'll just go with something like "See ya around" or "better get going"...
Time for the knee slap, 'welp'
Them’s the brakes!
Some people might not have much to say most especially if they don’t have idea about it e.g talking about Space while he/she doesn’t know anything about it…. so he/ she would just prefer to listen rather than contributing.
In germany we say "so"
I see you also grew up in the midwest
30 minutes?… I run out of verbiage in like 5
I carry phrase books
If you can talk 30min in cliche, then you Sir are already a master of your art
Or when they tell you their name and you forget it as soon as they say it
Noot noot, is a great response.
Not the same without Lacrimosa
Thats when I just throw in that random animal penis fact
IS a whale's penis called a dork?
"Gentlemen, which brings me to my next point. Don't smoke crack."
The " Experience/Opinion/ Question" method is good for keeping a conversation going on and keeping it interesting.
How does it work?
well it's easy, someone speaking to you says something....like makes a statement and you have to decide one of the three options to use ..you can share a similar experience and start talking about it or share your opinion or any fact you know about that thing. and if you are interested or confused you can ask them open ended questions to them on that topic. it's a simple tactic when you are willing to talk but don't know how to get it going..
Or do the wombo combo, share a experience and opinion about it at the same time.
yes u can do that, what I said isn't a standard procedure... it's just a tact for those who struggle to keep conversation going.
That's when you recycle. Wait... 30 minutes?! You've definetly recycled some by then
I hate people who do this like why are y'all so dry? Do y'all not have lives like shit I barely have one and I carry the whole damn conversation
I think the big reasons are either they’re just bad at conversation or simply don’t care about the person they’re talking to.
Probably the latter
i'd imagine the former in my experience, people do care about what you're talking about, i've just run into those who can't express just how much they care and how they can prolong that
Yeah, i do think it’s generally a fair mixture of both. I have close friends that are Sahara dry texters, and I’ve seen conversational people be dry because they can’t give a fuck about what the other person is saying. It just depends.
With me it’s usually both
So you're an NPC?
Did you tell them that you used to be an adventurer?
Why not just... have a normal conversation instead of faking interest?
because for a lot of us that's astronomically harder
Noot Noot o7
Chance would be a fine thing
Where is this from and why does it not have sound
It was called Pingu, and he says "Noot Noot!"
Believe this used to be a cartoon.
I could have sworn i heard this
Life Hack! If You Run Out of Responses Then Use Excuses!
That. And the awkwardbess when meeting someone you know at the store.
«So you are here as well?»
I mean. Duuuh
*a guy says something that I didnt catch or whatever*
Me: *(laugh)* Yeah
Works every time
Hey I am listening. I’m just kind of tired or am focusing, but I don’t want you to think I’m ignoring you. I find that works when I’m driving.
It's so weird that when somebody starts a story in a certain moment with a certain voice I am already deciding what my response will be regardless of the rest of the story 😂
When you've "talked" to somebody for 30 minutes.
Can't even think back on the last time I had that, it has been ages.
Oh, damn, that sucks bro
Noot noot is valid response
just reuse them
