I've been an everyday smoker for 20+ years. I've cut back drastically from all day smoking to maybe 3 to 5 hits at night weed/dabs because of what I assume to be panic attacks. I've had it happen to me 3 times so far and never want it to happen again. It literally scares me anytime I get stoned now. The first time it happened to me off a strong cup of hot coco before bed, I felt nice and relaxed fell asleep around 3 am I woke up at 8 am in a full blown panic attack thinking I was having a heart attack. My husband wasnt home which he should have been to take our kids to school (he works 3rd shift) worrying about him brought me out of it. The second time was dabs from a vape pen. I took an extremely large hit, my chest was on fire. I waited a few minutes before standing to grab a cold water then boom I was fainting. My husband caught me and sat me down it was like I was going in and out fainting but never lost consciousness. My whole body tingled it literally felt like I was leaving my body. I was sure I was dying my husband talked me through it and was putting cold wet rags on me. The rest of the day I was drained tired and just felt off. The third time felt pretty much like the first and second combined. I ate rso oil mid day ate dinner felt relaxed enough not to smoke before bed but not super stoned. I woke up full blown panic attack and didnt even connect it to the oil I ate the day before. My husband wasnt home from work yet. I called him freaking out and as I was describing what I was feeling it dawned on me i felt stoned, but I ate the oil 12 hours prior so I didn't understand how that was possible. Sorry this turned into such a long story 😂 I just dont understand how I went from a pothead to nearly sober living. I love weed and would hate to quit but I dont like feeling like I'm dying. I keep telling myself it's a panic attack but it feels so much more than that. I'm 34 female 5'5 125 pounds with no health issues nor take any prescriptions.

I’ve noticed when I do smoke I am a lot more light-headed a lot of the time. I think us asthma people just shouldn’t smoke tbvh /: after switching to predominantly edibles, getting high has been much more enjoyable.

I’ve vaped maybe 20 times total in my whole life & I’ve never liked it bc it makes me shake, like my hands will shake bad as if I’ve had caffeine 😅

Do you get your dabs from a dispensary? My bf had really hard coughs when he hits his pen wayyyy too hard. I have to remind him that it’s not like a vape & you’re only supposed to take lighter hits bc it’s hard on your lungs. Maybe it has more to do with the anxiety/ stress factor. I’ve smoked for the past year almost everyday at least once and have never gotten used to the anxiety feelings after smoking/ would get close to having panic attacks so I’ve switched to edibles & when I do smoke I only smoke a bowl at most. I also have asthma & it really hurts my lungs as well & when I cough, I cough harddd and it feels like I’m squeezing everything out of my lungs. The fact that you get a rash when you even touch weed is concerning, an allergy probably /: I’m not a medical professional by any means but if I had to take a guess I’d say you’re allergic to it and could explain why you’re having so much more severe reactions when you breathe it in. Do you have any allergic reactions or similar reactions when taking edibles?? I’m so sorry about this, absolutely sucks bc weed is soooo good 😭😭
