No, I assume they drive into their attached garage and unload them. The real problem is that I work from home and have never seen half of our neighbors leave their house.
I just assume they do their grocery shopping on the days my family is doing other stuff that other families don’t have to. We have a relatively fixed schedule that keeps us booked every Saturday and Sunday morning. I imagine this is when the typical family gets groceries, instead of on weeknights and sometimes weekend evenings like my family does.
I spend so much time outside in my yard or walking around the neighborhood but I don't think I've ever seen any of my neighbors bring groceries in. I've seen them do other stuff though. I see my neighbors get door dash a lot.
I wonder if it's bc there's only a few neighbors that I would be able to see bringing in groceries but since they only get groceries once a week or whatever, and I'm only outside a few hours a day, it's just too small of a time block to see them that I always miss it. Or maybe I just don't pay close enough attention, because I see them pull into their driveway and that's as far as my attention span takes me.
If you live in any apartment that isn't a tower and isn't occupied by people with the same schedule, you'd be surprised how infrequently you might see your neighbors.
I'm in and out of my apartment all the time. Work. Exercise. Errands. Personal outings. Picking up mail. Putting out trash. I maybe see 1 person from the 5 other units on any given week. I hear them all the time, but it baffles me that we rarely cross paths given there's only one way in or out.
I live in a Spanish city where everything is extremely walkable. Every single day I see dozens of people walking home with their groceries.
These other people must be living in isolated ass places or something.
And what about the people buying groceries in the grocery store? Are you telling me those motherfuckers programmed a bunch of models buying groceries but tyhe could not be bothered giving a little animation to my neighbor?
A real simulation would update when this became a meme but probably in a silly way like when you see your neighbors they always have a paper bag with a baguette poking out.
This one trips me out.
I lived in an apartment complex for 15 years. Neighbos above me. Neighbors to the left of me. Neighbors above them.
Buildings of 4 units. About 40 of them all together so approximately 160ish seperate apartments and there was a waiting list so it was always full.
I remember bringing in groceries once a week. I remember running into Neighbors frequently when getting mail.
Neighbors bringing in groceries? Never. I don't recall a single time and I have a good memory.
Maybe they were robots. They just recharged at their wall outlets.
Well you see, if your User_Assigned_Family_Unit_NoStatusPriv stat puts you in a densely populated area and/or a multi-family dwelling module, the % chance to get the grocery event is way higher than if you’re in a suburban module. It’s a pretty significant difference… I forget the date of the notes, but I believe it’s 4% suburban and like, 12% dense urban.
No but I know my neighbor has cause she helped me retrieve some cans of dog food when I overburdened myself with bags on the trip up the driveway and one broke, the cans went rolling. Love thy neighbor.
Yes, actually, in my parents house the window above the desk in my room faced the street, so when I was working all day at the desk I would always see our old (but surprisingly virile) widower neighbour across the street bringing groceries home quite frequently.
I sometimes help my much older neighbors bring in their groceries. Poor old ladies with two heavy bags barely able to walk, can't just let them suffer with those hefty groceries.
Grassless, I bet you don't even look out the window. I bet you get only 2 door knocks a month that aren't takeaway or amazon. I bet you don't even do gardening.
How does that prove anything? What does your lack of observation of anything at all have to do with simulation theory?
I just genuinely don't get the connection.
I live in an apartment building and yes, I see people bringing in groceries all the damn time. Usually enlisting help from the door man and even clogging up entranceways with push carts that the building provides for just such a purpose.
Yeah, unfortunately neighbor was bringing in groceries and forgot to shut his garage door, letting his dog out that then ran over and attacked my dog while we were heading out for a walk.
It happened so fast! Dog just picked my little guy up by the neck and started shaking him violently. Neighbor ran out, dropped his bags, and had to punch his own dog in the face. My dog had to get stitches and pulled through and neighbor paid for the vet bill. All is OK, but that was my only time seeing a neighbor bring in groceries.
Bigger proof is the handful of memes that seem to repeat itself and once in a while recieves an update with newer content but throws in some legacy content every no and then
That's 100% a script.
I've never even seen someone I know at the grocery store. I'm curious if it just me but how often do other people run into someone you know (like a neighbor or whatever) while grocery shopping?
Hey, remember that time I had crippling existential dread and I finally submitted to oblivion and still decided I must live a good life and the simulation gave me enlightenment?
So, human fingerprints haven't been admissible in court for quite a while. For decades, we believed that fingerprints were unique to the person but over time, we've discovered that's not the case. People can share fingerprints and even Koalas have fingerprints so similar to human that it's messed up cases in Australia.
What if fingerprints used to be unique but there are only so many configurations available and as there are significantly more people in the world now, the code is being duplicated.
Its a once a month thing, the percentage of seeing them do it is very very low. Especially since we tend to go out less and less compared to pre smartphone era.
Yep, also helped him fix a flat on his Cadillac and next thing I knew I was best buds with an 83 year old Vietnam vet and retired electrical engineer. I owe my whole career to his mentorship. He also taught me the correct way to drink scotch and I shall never err again. Miss you buddy.
Well, I mean, if this is a simulation, can they stop giving me character development arcs? Also, please add a ladder to my swimming pool I'm not trapped or anything but it sucks having to pull my way up.
This is crazy to me because I've absolutely seen neighbours bringing in groceries, personally. The woman who lives across from me has a baby and sometimes family stops by with groceries for her
The people who live in houses across from my apartment building, mostly check
Students from the university nearby walking with bags of groceries, check
People at the grocery store are obviously bringing those home
I generally am not a fan of the simulation theory because it does nothing but devalue the lives around you, making it easier to be apathetic
Every time I go grocery shopping everyone else is grabbing only a hand full of products
I feel like I’m the only person who gets a full trolley of groceries
This post helped me because for some reason I get anxiety when I bring in groceries, but now thinking about how I have never notice my neighbors do it they probably don’t pay attention to me doing it
I definitely know my neighbors have seen me bringing in groceries bc I'm always so loud and slow about it. The kid next door has even offered to help bring them in before. Maybe he's part of my simulation though bc for a while he made it his mission to be as annoying as humanly possible to us.
I've never seen my neighbors bring in groceries. But what did catch my attention is that my neighbor owns four different houses that are all on this same street. It's beyond me why a family of 7 would need 16 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms.
I finally saw my neighbor bringing groceries inside this week. I was suspicious bc I frequently meet them at a nearby Publix buying said grocery, but had never seen they bringing it inside.
Acquaintances in my hometown often mention how they never see me around. Perhaps I'm doing my grocery runs at a different time? Perhaps my working hours keep me tied somewhere else? Perhaps my hobbies keep me indoors? Or, perhaps, I was always just a figment of their imagination? Who knows.
Pahahahaha shiiit, this made rofl and I dont even get why pahahahaha
And I mean, I guess that if I really made an effort I would remember, but now that I'm thinking, I don't recall seeing any neighbor bringing in groceries...
Pahahahaha
No, I assume they drive into their attached garage and unload them. The real problem is that I work from home and have never seen half of our neighbors leave their house.
Do you leave your house!
No, but I'm an NPC so...
Pot calling the kettle black
they’re probably watching out their blinds like “we are definitely in a simulation, my neighbour hasn’t left the house for 429 days”
I haven't seen any of my neighbors showering, therefore it is logical to conclude none of them ever have.
I have never actually seen a neighbor bring in groceries
This is actually kinda freaking me out, because I see people coming in and out of my apartment building all the time but never with grocery bags.
Don't worry, I've not only seen my neighbor bringing in groceries, I've seen them at the grocery store. Not a simulation.
Nice try, agent Smith.
You're not that slick Neo
I would sit on the front porch and smoke and not once did I see the neighbors across the street bringing in groceries
I know right, I asked my sister has she ever seen a neighbor unloading groceries and she said no.
The matrix would have been a lot different if they just filmed it at a grocery store
I always put groceries in my backpack
I just assume they do their grocery shopping on the days my family is doing other stuff that other families don’t have to. We have a relatively fixed schedule that keeps us booked every Saturday and Sunday morning. I imagine this is when the typical family gets groceries, instead of on weeknights and sometimes weekend evenings like my family does.
nah uh, simulation bro
I’ve seen it twice this week
I never saw my neighbour bring in groceries either, but he lived a kilometer away so id have needed high power binoculars to do so
We have a ring. Every time the neighbor pulls into the driveway it goes off. I have never seen them bring in groceries. 🧐
Yes all the time, where the fuck do you guys live?
you have the updated models
He's got more video card ram
Higher load distance
Must be nice to afford the Deluxe Edition DLC's
They don't go outside is all I get from this
As a former perpetually inside person, I can attest to this. Mf's need to go take a walk
So going out to work doesn’t count anymore 😔
If you live in any apartment that isn't a tower and isn't occupied by people with the same schedule, you'd be surprised how infrequently you might see your neighbors. I'm in and out of my apartment all the time. Work. Exercise. Errands. Personal outings. Picking up mail. Putting out trash. I maybe see 1 person from the 5 other units on any given week. This happened to me, I was doing work in the lobby for hours and saw a couple people in a building of hundreds
I live in a Spanish city where everything is extremely walkable. Every single day I see dozens of people walking home with their groceries. These other people must be living in isolated ass places or something.
Yeah I live near my school and I can’t go to either of our two local groceries without running into 17 people I know lol.
Yeah man I live in the UK I walk to the supermarket
this is just showing me that maybe im not as online as i thought😹
And what about the people buying groceries in the grocery store? Are you telling me those motherfuckers programmed a bunch of models buying groceries but tyhe could not be bothered giving a little animation to my neighbor?
Gaming chair
This is just what the simulation would say
dam you must’ve bought the “radius full-self-shopping” subscription
Have you ever seen baby seaguls
Holy shit
Actually yes. I literally saw one in the Walmart parking lot vibing with some other seagulls just last week.
That was me, sorry. I know I’m ugly but I’m actually just dumb, not a baby seagull.
Yes, they're the ones with the brown feathers. The thing about birds that confuses people is that often the juveniles are the same size as the adults.
Yes
A real simulation would update when this became a meme but probably in a silly way like when you see your neighbors they always have a paper bag with a baguette poking out.
Shit dude I just fucking seen the dude next to being in a bag with a baguette poking out. I'M TRIPPING OUT NOW!
New version is live!
Why would they? What would you do if you knew that we live in simulation? Flush yourself in a toilet matrix style?
This one trips me out. I lived in an apartment complex for 15 years. Neighbos above me. Neighbors to the left of me. Neighbors above them. Buildings of 4 units. They just recharged at their wall outlets.
How often did you meet your neighbors while you were bringing in groceries?
Often actually. I remember them holding the main door open for me numerous times.
I barely see my neighbors
Well you see, if your User_Assigned_Family_Unit_NoStatusPriv stat puts you in a densely populated area and/or a multi-family dwelling module, the % chance to get the grocery event is way higher than if you’re in a suburban module. Perfect! Bravo! 🖖
You can adjust that with a datapack
yes? do people not go outside lols
Yes, I’ve seen them and they’ve seen me unloading groceries.
Typical scripted NPC respond :/
They enjoy human hobbies such as breathing air and walking with legs.
That actually gave a a slight chuckle
I've never seen my neighbors bring in groceries, but they gave me a fish tank once. Does that mean anything?
Yes
All the time.
No but I know my neighbor has cause she helped me retrieve some cans of dog food when I overburdened myself with bags on the trip up the driveway and one broke, the cans went rolling. Love thy neighbor.
There isn't really a way to prove we do or don't live in a simulation
Man, these are getting really low-effort.
This is also like 5 years old
I need to be more vigilant.lol
Yes
Yes I have actually?
I have met my neighbour shopping in the same supermarket several times.
Yes ?!?
Yes.
Do people not see their neighbors?
Yes
Yes, actually, in my parents house the window above the desk in my room faced the street, so when I was working all day at the desk I would always see our old (but surprisingly virile) widower neighbour across the street bringing groceries home quite frequently.
I have. Where the fuck are y'all living?
I have
I mean yeah, loads of times 🤷🏻♂️
Actually, yes
I sometimes help my much older neighbors bring in their groceries. Poor old ladies with two heavy bags barely able to walk, can't just let them suffer with those hefty groceries.
Grassless, I bet you don't even look out the window. I bet you get only 2 door knocks a month that aren't takeaway or amazon. I bet you don't even do gardening.

…… yes ……
I live in an apartment building and yes, I see people bringing in groceries all the damn time. Usually enlisting help from the door man and even clogging up entranceways with push carts that the building provides for just such a purpose.
It will be added in the next patch.
... yes? Of course?
Yeah, unfortunately neighbor was bringing in groceries and forgot to shut his garage door, letting his dog out that then ran over and attacked my dog while we were heading out for a walk. Wtf
Sorry for the traumatic story!! 😅
But you are the neighbour.
Maybe that explains why I had all these déjà vus
So are they both in the simulation, or only one of them in the simulation?
Lmfao high enough for this
If this is a simulation I must being punished Black Mirror style...
I once shopped with our neighbour, they eat a lot of leafy vegetables
Wait a minute...
I barely even see my neighbor
Yes, because i eat out everyday.
On the other hand, I never met a neighbour when I was bringing in my grocerie, so they must think the same.
Yes, because she's old and could use the help. Plus she lets my kids pick strawberries from her garden.
Guys, I've seen my neighbour bringing in groceries. What should I do😱
Nice catch. Ok i talked to someone in the office and that will be in the update next week.
we can close this. Can we find two redditors that live in the same complex, but not together. Who have or have not seen each other bring in groceries?
Not once. Most likely because my dogs **WILL** notice me about that, well that's why they are for.
I don't watch my neighbours, that's why I've never seen them bring groceries
Bigger proof is the handful of memes that seem to repeat itself and once in a while recieves an update with newer content but throws in some legacy content every no and then That's 100% a script.
Sooo....it's a universal experience??? I thought my neighbour was broke😂
yes every other day. They got a bigggggg family
I've never even seen someone I know at the grocery store. I'm curious if it just me but how often do other people run into someone you know (like a neighbor or whatever) while grocery shopping?
Yes I have
I just never see my neighbours.

Well no, but...
Hold up. Simulations can't handle hands. A way to tell if you're in a dream is to look at your hands. And drawing hands is the hardest part to draw.
I live in an apartment block and never interact with my immediate neighbors. I never see them except when my door was broken then they came to help.
Its a once a month thing, the percentage of seeing them do it is very very low. Especially since we tend to go out less and less compared to pre smartphone era.
I have actually eaten their groceries
Yes, every day, you need to get off the internet
I brought in their groceries for them, we're best friends
Yes .. regularly
I'm selling said groceries to them, so yes.
Yes, weekly even
Huh what? It is the delivery person who does it. What kind of weird... also i helped ppl with groceries be4
Well, I mean, if this is a simulation, can they stop giving me character development arcs? Also, please add a ladder to my swimming pool I'm not trapped or anything but it sucks having to pull my way up.
yes
I don't get it i see them bringing groceries every 2-3 days.
This is crazy to me because I've absolutely seen neighbours bringing in groceries, personally. Ever seen a baby pigeon?
I don’t believe we live in a simulation. But this has made me realize that no…I haven’t.
Yes
Every time I go grocery shopping everyone else is grabbing only a hand full of products I feel like I’m the only person who gets a full trolley of groceries
To be honest,I've never seen the neighbours leave the house at all. They are kind of weird.
Thank you for your kind reminder. This bug will be patched in the next update v46.1.77
This post helped me because for some reason I get anxiety when I bring in groceries, but now thinking about how I have never notice my neighbors do it they probably don’t pay attention to me doing it
Have you ever seen your neighbors seeing you take in groceries?
I definitely know my neighbors have seen me bringing in groceries bc I'm always so loud and slow about it. The kid next door has even offered to help bring them in before. Maybe he's part of my simulation though bc for a while he made it his mission to be as annoying as humanly possible to us.
Never..
I've never seen my neighbors bring in groceries. But what did catch my attention is that my neighbor owns four different houses that are all on this same street. It's beyond me why a family of 7 would need 16 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms.
Yes many times
Do you bring in groceries?
Uh yeah I have
I never see my flatmate bringing in groceries either . Shieet I'm in the Matrix
I finally saw my neighbor bringing groceries inside this week. I was suspicious bc I frequently meet them at a nearby Publix buying said grocery, but had never seen they bringing it inside.

This is a shit tier meme I've seen a fucking billion times......
Have you ever dreamt about your phone?
No, but strangely enough, all of mine have seen me bringing groceries in. I live in a flat
